...

The present delivery will be very, very, slow. :teeth:

DH has checked into the flight school around here and just the plane rental for qualifying (pilot's license) will run over $5,000. (that doesn't include instruction hours cost)...

He almost could buy a plane (with a couple other pilots of course) for that.

I'm off to work... now I'll have to wait until the afternoon to see Karen catch up. At least last night was relatively slow.

yes, thankfully I did not have too much to catch up on this morning. Not like the banana posting frenzy day!
I am not fully awake at this point. I need to go get a Dr Pepper or something to wake me up. We have a meeting at 10 that I am not looking forward to all that much!

Wait! You only have to hit 2 other houses once you've been hit! And include a drawing of a ghost to post on your door/in your window to show that you've been BOOed already!

Our Target has BOOing kits for $4 (enough candy, instructions and ghosts to boo 2 houses) made by Hershey's and M&M/Mars.
No wonder it wasn't popular here.

We must not do it since I have no idea what you guys are talking about!
You make up a bag with candy or other prizes. You put a not on it that they have been booed and that they must pass the boo on within 24 hours. They are also given a sign to hang in their window so that others know they have been booed. Then you pass it on to your neighbor. It is fun. You can tell who was booed because they have the sign in their window.

We were each only booing 1 house...I think it all depends on who starts it.

One rant before I go to bed. I am SO tired of pneumonia (sort of a pun I suppose). Anyway I spent 1 1/2 hours at the 24hr CVS because I had a Rx for Levaquin - which BCBS doesn't cover and it would have been $159+ out of pocket so they needed to talk to doc but they waited to call (of course I am waiting there mind you). So long and short BCBS requests Avelox vs. Levaquin. I had no internet so I couldn't even look up the clinical studies so I had to take their word for it and frankly I was ready to shell out whatever (just charge it) because I felt like crap and wanted to just GO HOME!

So now I have the Avelox and Advair. Fortunately I got the Advair via a sample - wonder whether BCBS would charge 100+ for that as well. It's just too expensive. I thank my lucky stars I have a PPO insurance as thousands are shelled out in premiums and I still pay a ridiculous amount out of pocket. $1000 in flexible spending account is nothing with allergy meds. patnol freakin eye drops cost $45 bucks for this teeny tiny bottle.. Yeah can we say use sparingly. I had to go through all of this crap to get Zyrtec covered previously once Claritin went over the counter as well (Claritin, Allegra etc etc before wow they'd cover it because nothing else was working).

Okay rant over. 'Night

Rant away Carla,

I'm right with you. I did not buy ANY allergy meds this summer because of the high cost. I got by with taking a decongestant nightly (guiaffin(sp?)). Navigating the allergy med maze with insurance has become ridiculous, and the end result is your insurance saves money, and your quality of life goes down.

Both DD and DS got my allergies - and Sophia uses Advair when she needs to. NONE of it is cheap - even with insurance.

has anyone read any of the Sept cruise trip reports? Lots of issues I think, I wonder what this transition period is they are talking about?

I hope we have decent servers this year. Last year they were horrible. And I am pretty easy going - but refills are a must.

Is everyone planning on attending the CC reception? After the things I have read we may skip it. Last year it was really crowded and I am not sure we got that much out of it. John, Haley and I sat at a table and that was about it. We had fun trying to figure out what the ice sculpture was though.

We are slowly getting closer! I changed up some of our plans for our October trip ~ added a day and switched from BW to POFQ and still saved over $300! This is one mod we haven't stayed in before so it should be fun. I have to call this next week and order a cake for Samantha. Probably the same one as last year it was so good. I am getting excited for this trip...the weather should be great and I am really looking forward to the Halloween party! I think my sister will be crashing our good time but usually if she is with us we end up at PI one night - always makes for a great story!

well I better get to work!

My mom has a great recipe. Everyone in my family loves them. I will have to get if from her. Yes...dough, apple, cinnamon....usually topped with ice cream or milk. I will ask her for it today.
Thank you, Brandi! I got a couple off the internet, but a "tried and true" one would be great! :stir:

Ok...now I can see Angies pumpkin...but mine and V's are corrupted...hum...

edited to say....now they are working...crazy!!!!

We will try to make the CC reception. We don't usually stay long, but we have a couple of free drinks and will get a fancy drink free for Aaron. Eat a few bites - we have always found the food tasty - greet and get a photo with the Captain and be on our way.

Our last server was a bit "stuffy" at first, but when he realized that our whole table was there to have fun he relaxed. I think they have to figure out what the guest is looking for in service, "formal" or "fun". He and his asst did a good job in taking care of our needs.

I guess they have been trying out new style receptions that are soda, coffee, etc (no alcoholic drinks) and snacks. I think I read they have tried it 3 times so far. We may swing by, but depending on the date and time there may be something else that's a not miss!!

Where are all these hot legs (men) contests and stuff? Are these games DIS'ers make up or are they actually put on by DCL?

When is the CC reception? I usually avoid stand up receptions like the plague but, since I will know some people there I may show up. If DH hasn't gotten to know any of you yet he will probably make a break for the door ASAP.

It's the Castaway Club Reception. I think it depends on the number of CC members on that cruise on where and when it is held.
