I think we will try to make it to the CC reception. If it does not "meet our expectations", I will include comments on my survey at the end of the cruise. This is supposed to be a thank you to us who continue to choose DCL. Since DCL does not offer free upgrades or other incentives to repeat cruisers, I think this was a nice way to say thank you. However, if they lower their standard of thanking us, I will let them know.

One rant before I go to bed. I am SO tired of pneumonia (sort of a pun I suppose). Anyway I spent 1 1/2 hours at the 24hr CVS because I had a Rx for Levaquin - which BCBS doesn't cover and it would have been $159+ out of pocket so they needed to talk to doc but they waited to call (of course I am waiting there mind you). So long and short BCBS requests Avelox vs. Levaquin. I had no internet so I couldn't even look up the clinical studies so I had to take their word for it and frankly I was ready to shell out whatever (just charge it) because I felt like crap and wanted to just GO HOME!

So now I have the Avelox and Advair. Fortunately I got the Advair via a sample - wonder whether BCBS would charge 100+ for that as well. It's just too expensive. I thank my lucky stars I have a PPO insurance as thousands are shelled out in premiums and I still pay a ridiculous amount out of pocket. $1000 in flexible spending account is nothing with allergy meds. patnol freakin eye drops cost $45 bucks for this teeny tiny bottle.. Yeah can we say use sparingly. I had to go through all of this crap to get Zyrtec covered previously once Claritin went over the counter as well (Claritin, Allegra etc etc before wow they'd cover it because nothing else was working).

Okay rant over. 'Night

:grouphug: I was surprised to see that there is now a vacine for pneumonia.

I'm off to work... now I'll have to wait until the afternoon to see Karen catch up. At least last night was relatively slow.

It's 11AM and I'm caught up. Now I'll let you all in on a little secret. I'm under the weather and home today...so no work to get in my way of catching up. That's the secret....if you must catch up on Dising...no working!!

As you will find out later..I'm home...not feeling well...and yes, I've lost it. But holy camoly (sp?!) I've never been that far behind in catching up.

And did you see Lisa- I wasn't even logged on when the ladies went on a little posting frenzy! princess: I'm an angel princess! :sad2:

has anyone read any of the Sept cruise trip reports? Lots of issues I think, I wonder what this transition period is they are talking about?

I hope we have decent servers this year. Last year they were horrible. And I am pretty easy going - but refills are a must.

Is everyone planning on attending the CC reception? After the things I have read we may skip it. Last year it was really crowded and I am not sure we got that much out of it. John, Haley and I sat at a table and that was about it. We had fun trying to figure out what the ice sculpture was though.

I read trip reports with a few buckets of salt. ;) The crew usually changes in stages. They wouldn't get rid of all the vets at once & bring new people on.

We didn't go to the CC reception last cruise. The first one was very nice but not necessary with kids. The food was nice but it was lobster night & I couldn't eat as much of that as I would like. I didn't like the drinks and the kids enjoyed the pool that extra hour. ;)

:rotfl: It has nothing to do with spelling ability. ;) :rotfl2:

Well, I am off to scan & put the groceries away. I also found a ton of cute skorts for DD. Hers were getting a little small & I didn't feel like dragging out all of the size 6 clothes to find a couple skorts. ;) They were marked down to $2 each!!! :)

Yes, interesting - I'd read that as well. I typically do the flu shot. The bad thing is getting so sick before the season doesn't bode well for full blown flu/cold season. I'll be that much more suseptible. By the way this Avelox - I hate it so far - nausea. Of course reading the little warnings that they post would scare the heck out of anyone.

my personal favorite other than yeast/thrush comments
SIDE EFFECTS: Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: uncontrolled movements (e.g., tremor), swelling of the arms/legs, numbness/tingling of the hands/feet, mental/mood changes :scared1: (including rare thoughts of suicide).

I didn't even list the highly unlikely but serious side effects. :rolleyes1

There is? Well then sign my DD up for it..... She gets Bronchitis or walking pneumonia pretty much yearly.......

And i found out her newest doc won't medicate pretty much until she already has pneumonia....

i wish you could tell these docs; no i'm not over medicating; i wouldn't have wasted my time bringing her here unless she needed it so it doesn't go to full blown pneumonia.......
