All of the other organizations in our church including consistory have term limits. Trust me...that is one of the things on my "list" of things that need to be addressed!lbgraves said:That sounds more like a sovereignty...not a SS board. Why don't they put limits on the terms?
Thanks!87Heel said:prayer said for your family, Mickey.
RealMickey said:I've not been on the boards much for the last couple of weeks. We've had some family health problems.
My DFIL was in the hospital to have gall bladder surgery...the morning he was to have the surgery they tried to wake him, he was unresponsive. He had had a stroke. They say he would not have survived if he had not been in the hospital when it happened. The doctors are still only giving him a 50% chance of survival.
They've kept him sedated since the stroke, and we will not no how much damage was done until he wakes. Right now they are weening him off of the sedation so we should no more in the next few days.
My DMIL is not totally able to take care of herself and he has been her primary caregiver for a while. So we have her at our home, and are going back and forth between here and the Hospital in Mississippi a lot.
Needless to say...it has been a tough couple of weeks, but we are getting by. We could definitely use your prayers and good vibes.
Mickey, Thanks for the update, I was thinking about you just today and wondering where you have been. Your light hasn't even been lit on my buddy list. I hope all goes well for you and your PIL's (oops).RealMickey said:Needless to say...it has been a tough couple of weeks, but we are getting by. We could definitely use your prayers and good vibes.
You are making me laugh!!! I am cracking up!!!!!Jhalkias said:Now how do you know about and comment on THAT?
Hmmmmmmmm . . . .
I am thinking if I had it to do all over again (and Amy were not in my life), I would start looking first at church choir directors and future Sunday school Presidents!
No wonder John Denver said "Thank God I'm a Country Boy"![]()

We got the schedule for the Alabama Shakespere Festival today. I was going to suggest a minimeet over a play (Beauty?) but it looks like you have bigger fish to fry.
Good luck to you.
