It didn't hit me last time but our nephew's bday is 6/24. His mom's is 5/24.

My father's and brother's birthday, and mine and Amy's Anniversary, respectively . . .

That sounds more like a sovereignty...not a SS board. :rolleyes1 Why don't they put limits on the terms?
All of the other organizations in our church including consistory have term limits. Trust me...that is one of the things on my "list" of things that need to be addressed!

I've not been on the boards much for the last couple of weeks. We've had some family health problems.

My DFIL was in the hospital to have gall bladder surgery...the morning he was to have the surgery they tried to wake him, he was unresponsive. He had had a stroke. They say he would not have survived if he had not been in the hospital when it happened. The doctors are still only giving him a 50% chance of survival.

They've kept him sedated since the stroke, and we will not no how much damage was done until he wakes. Right now they are weening him off of the sedation so we should no more in the next few days.

My DMIL is not totally able to take care of herself and he has been her primary caregiver for a while. So we have her at our home, and are going back and forth between here and the Hospital in Mississippi a lot.

Needless to say...it has been a tough couple of weeks, but we are getting by. We could definitely use your prayers and good vibes.

Sorry to hear that Realmickey . . .

Sending prayers your way.

Mickey, Thanks for the update, I was thinking about you just today and wondering where you have been. Your light hasn't even been lit on my buddy list. I hope all goes well for you and your PIL's (oops). :grouphug:

We got the schedule for the Alabama Shakespere Festival today. I was going to suggest a minimeet over a play (Beauty?) but it looks like you have bigger fish to fry.

Good luck to you.

Now how do you know about and comment on THAT?

Hmmmmmmmm . . . .

I am thinking if I had it to do all over again (and Amy were not in my life), I would start looking first at church choir directors and future Sunday school Presidents!

No wonder John Denver said "Thank God I'm a Country Boy"

We have been having severe thunderstorms and pouring rain!!! We are awaiting a cold front. Friday will be mid to upper 50's. Saturday will have a high of 63 but no rain in the forecast!

Just like they used to say in Reader's Digest, "Laughter, the Best Medicine"!

I was just telling Amy tonight, that Brandi definitely has two sides . . .

(can someone post that devil and angel smiley again?)

:grouphug: Lots of prayers coming your way.

Mickey....I will say a prayer for you and your family tonight. It is very stressful having someone ill in the family. I hope everything works out.

Yup, cold front coming your way via Ohio. It was about 80 here today during the day - definite Indian summer day. It is now down to 55 already, and dropping.

We did not get much rain though . . . but it sprinkled a bit and was cloudy.

Thanks for the thoughts.

If you and your family do go to ASF, let me know. We live just a couple of minutes from the theatre.

I think I am going to turn in early tonight. I have to take Eliza to the DR for her 9 month check. My DMom will be taking Jake to preschool. Anyway, have a great night! I will catch you in the morning! :wave2:

Mickey - very sorry to hear about the illness in your family. I hope your FIL will recover well.

Brandi - I also send good wishes to your family - and so glad to hear that things are improving for your cousin - it did not send good the way you described the situation.

hugs to all!!!
