Do any of you guys ever try to do laundry on the ship (we try not to). The laundry rooms can be like trying to break into an enemy bunker. The most I try to do is iron, and lately we send our clothes to be pressed on the ship instead of fighting over the one of the few ironing boards.

Anyway, I was really wondering how much purple Downy will now be on the ship, or purple Tide with purple Downy in it.

John1

LOL! We did a couple loads on the first cruise. If we smell the purple Tide when we pass by, we will know that a DISer has been there. :goodvibes

My DH would not dream of doing laundry on the ship.:laundy: we have only been on a 3 & 4 night so I am not sure if I will need to do any laundry or not. we go to the BCV after the cruise. We will have a washer/dryer in the unit. I am sure we will do some there but I am not sure how much. I still am not sure if I need to pack differently for the cruise as opposed to WDW. I hope I don't need to but haven't really gotten that far in planning yet.
DH is a laundry junkie. I don't think he can go a whole week without doing some laundry. I have been saving quarters all year so we will be ready.

unfortunately he already has his tonsils removed. I am not sure where we go from here. this is the second time he has had strep this school year and we are barely through one month. the first time he got strep on his skin also. that really scared me but the drs said it was nothing to worry about. hopefully the first strand was just resistant to the meds and this time we can really get rid of it.
Oh my goodness...that is horrible. I really feel for him.

DD is taking a survey for school! :wave2:

First Question
How many hours per week do you listen to music?

Second Question
What type of music do you listen to?

Third Question
On a scale of 0-10, with 0 being the worst thing you could ever do, how does music rate?

We would prefer answers from tweens but anybody can answer as this assignment is due in soon!

DD12's answers...

1. About 3 hours a day- so approx. 21 hours a week.

2. Pop and Hip Hop, 80s and High School Musical soundtrack.

3. 9

I interviewed people for jobs all afternoon.

I asked the girl who set up the appointments if she had fun thinking what kind of an afternoon I would have. I swear I interviewed Forest Gumpp's extended family today. Except that Forest had more teeth than one of them, and more sense than several others.

Thank goodness I also got to interview some High School kids. They had more sense than the adults.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Pretty sad, isn't it? OY! They want you to interview after letting so many people go? :confused3 At least you were able to see some humor in it all.

I did mention the mini-meet in PA today and she said "why not?" I was surprised but we both knew that we didn't have a babysitter for JoJo. I still hope to make the Ren Faire on Saturday for awhile.

and jojo is a :dogdance: or :cat:

If jo jo is well behaved, pets are welcome at Knoebel's. People have them there all the time (mostly smaller ones though)

Abby doesn't qualify as small so we've never taken her. Casey is smaller but her hip displaysia keeps us from walking her too far. (that and she's the barker of our two)

We are hiring some part-time workers - mostly students, but a few adults who may only want to work a few hours a day during the week.

Maybe all of you filled out applications for the motley crew that came in today so that I could waste a perfectly good afternoon.

One was a 49 year old guy who told me he told his mom and dad before he left that he hopes he gets the job. 49 and still living with mom and dad. What does that tell you?

John1

I should have known to just continue reading. :rotfl: I get it....PT = no benefits so lower overhead. :(

I directed choir tonight. Guess who had a mysterious sore throat and could not make it....you guess it...the current SS president. I knew this would be ugly...but I really thought she would try to be "big" about this...KWIM. She has been the president for over 10 years. I thought about calling her....but I have done nothing "wrong."

Our first cruise was in the middle of a three week vacation. 5 days at SIL/BIL's. 3 days at WDW. 7 day cruise. week at ILs for wedding that was cut short.

DH just looked in on what I was posting. He asked "do all of you guys tell this much about their families?" I tried to explain to him that I am really behind the times. You guys have shared a lot more. I don't know what he will think when we get to the boat. I told him the ruins tour just kind of fell into place. No need to worry him about all of us who are on the thread at least two or three or lots more times a day.

DC is still in the hospital. Her Doctor told her she has gotten a little better. He said that they will not operate on her hand if she continues to show signs of improvement. He said she will be in for another day or 2. He also told her to avoid cats. She of course said...impossible...I am a vet. He told her to wear steel tipped gloves!!!!!

how could they vote Vivica off? I have not seen all her dances but what I did see were excellent. It makes me wonder if they are just keeping Jerry Springer on as a joke. He was our mayor once a long time ago. He was a joke then also. OW. Its time for LOST. That was a great opening.

Last night she looked like she messed up but she was better than Sara Evans. Jerry was good last night & he touched everyone with the waltz that he learned for his DD's wedding soon. Maybe this year they have choosen stars who have more of a fan base than the past couple years so they are really influencing the outcome? :confused3

I don't know if you really want my response....I am a tad atypical. When working I
1)Actively listen to music 45 (or more) hours each week.
2)Christian, Classic Rock, Country, Children's music, Classical, Jazz....a little bit of everything(except rap)
3) 10 - a certain and positive 10!~~~~

ahhhhh 65 days left

So i started back to tanning today....

Yes i know it's supposedly not good for me but neither is going to CC and Mexico without a good base tan.

I'd be one crispy critter
