Back to the dress code.
I haven't read for the last two pages so this may be covered.

John, is this guy just using the earring to bring in the new policies.

You should see the dress code at our middle school Wooh!

The funniest part is where they try to keep everything semetrical. That's right the kids are not allowed to dress aysemmetrically in any way. (It's a gang related issue.)

While I would not let my DS get an earring in 2nd grade I am not sure that it should be considered a violation of a dress code. :confused3 Dress codes IMHO are to prevent students from wearing profane, dangerous and/or too revealing clothes so as to prevent distraction. A boy wearing an earring is no more a distraction than a girl wearing an earring. It would be a non-issue with me unless the earring was flashing curse words or could be used as a weapon.

I of course agree. The school board members words to John were more like, "I don't want my child to be exposed to people like that."

Excuse me... what exactly does that mean, "people like that". That is one thing I hate to hear.

BIGGEST LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

I love it too! And I credit that show for the 91 pounds I've lost in the last year. Watching it every week made me realize I could lose the weight as long as I got off my butt and worked out and watched what I ate. I think it sends a great message and I love seeing so many people succeed. :)

:sad2: It saddens me in this day and age there are still people who are far too judgemental and close minded.

We watch America's Next Top Model on Wednesday nights. I still can't believe I got suckered into watching it in the first place....

Becka, I got sucked in a couple of years ago. And it is make-over day, so the best episode of the year, lol.

So, has anyone seen Heroes yet? I liked it but its X-Men ish before the Xavier School X-Men with the interpersonal story. I'm kinda hooked. It's on NBC.

Heroes
I can't wait until next Friday. DH is catching up on B.G. old episodes. I can't wait for the podcasts to start again. The producer is hysterically irreverant. Love it. DH makes fun of me because when it started he kept saying its not what you think- you'll like it. I used to watch the old show when I was a kid but as an adult - nah so I tried it in the middle of season 2 and then had to go get all of the previous episodes on iTunes. I've been watching the webizones on scifi. Here is the current Battlestar Galactica

I am a frequent reader, but have not really posted. We are on the December 9, 2006 cruise and I would like to find a little girl close to my 6 year old daughter's age, that she could e-mail and get to know prior to the cruise. My daughter is named Danielle, but goes by Dani. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Your information is already on the website so you have the link with everyone's emails. Just have your DD check out the 5-7 yo page of the DIS kids and email them. :) If you have found out your room number, LMK and I can update the group manifest. We can also still link dining.

Has anyone made mac and cheese in the crock pot? I was thinking of trying something like this:

http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1612,159183-241200,00.html

RECIPE

This is the one that I have done a couple times.

2 cups milk
1 can / 12 oz evaporated milk (keeps the milk from curdling)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
pinch dry mustard
1 pke / 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese (or any kind)
8 oz / 2 cups uncooked macaroni

Mix it all together. Cook on low 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

ABC is doing some kind of recap of the first two season, in a story teller fashion, of LOST.

Another show I watched the first part of the premier episode. I don't even watch it - my sister watches it. I do like to see how they make them over though.

It is a hair make-over. They give them some really drastic dos, it is a way to see how they would handle this on an assignment.

They did something like that last year didn't they? I don't watch it and I watched that episode and really thought the show was interesting. I love JJ Abrams. I used to love Alias.

My problem with all of these shows is I typically don't watch tv so I never recall what network and time things are on. That is why iTunes was so wonderful for me. I used to watch Alias and 24 regularly and then they put them on opposite each other. Then I liked the Gina Davis the Amereican President show. Typically the show I love the most ends up being preempted for various reasons and/or loses its audience when the network moves it.

Who is crying because their hair is being cut really short. I was laughing at the premiere when Jay said one of the woman looked more masculine than he did. He and Miss Jay are so caustic it's amusing.

so what show is on tonight Lost? Is it the very first episode...I have never seen any before.
