The star is finished! We have positive words in bright colors! We have an adorable photo! We have extra silver stars! We have plenty of gold glitter!

And with that, I'm off to get some sleep (of course, now I have caffeine and glitter in my system, so who knows when I'll be sleeping!!!)

DrHug is downstairs trying to salvage DGS computer. Younger DGS (13yo and a walking disaster! ) downloaded "a game or something" and brought a virus onto the computer. Lots of the files are gone, so he is wiping it out and going to try to reload. DGS 13 is going to be barred from it for awhile, I think. DrHug gave DGS his old laptop for a backup to do his homework, etc in the meantime, but it is old and much slower and not hooked up to a printer so it is a chore for him to use it. :sad2: Little brothers!

Clinic. Unfortunately they (admin) encourage the old timers to call her still because they don't have the patience to speak to them and heaven forbid they need to call in an interpreter. They still think Portuguese and Spanish are the same language never mind comprehending there are different Italian dialects.
Language is the one thing that we don't have to deal with. Anyone who has gone thru US military bootcamp can speak English. We do occasionally have family that we need interpreters for. We have access to staff that speak different languages that we can call on in the rare occasions that the veteran would be unable to speak to their family.

I am a frequent reader, but have not really posted. We are on the December 9, 2006 cruise and I would like to find a little girl close to my 6 year old daughter's age, that she could e-mail and get to know prior to the cruise. My daughter is named Danielle, but goes by Dani. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Welcome Dani&EmsMom! We have lots of kids around that age going with us. Join in and let us get to know you! The first page of the thread will give you lots of information and info on contact Lisa with your info.

Now for the residual questions:

Kim - how is the weather? I am not ready to think of snow.
Pj - What did you think of the movie Rent? I found it to be a very powerful play on the stage. I thought the movie was too long - can I start a rant?

What is is with movies over 2 hours. I mean do you remember Ghandi and having an intermission? Now they think nothing of having us sit there. I mean after drink whatever who wouldn't have to use the restroom in a 2 1/2 hr period of time. I don't get it. :confused3

Jodie - are you all J names in your family - is it the three sister or other siblings? I caught the Dec comment to your sis but not her response

I saw Brack was away, is Elaine? Is she ok?

If you are ordering baskets from Shirley what are you thinking? Last cruise I ordered sandpails and binocs etc can't decide this time.

A quick hello to Dani&EmsMom. This cruise has plenty of 6-year-old girls (I may be the only one traveling without one in my group!). Your dd should be able to find lots of adorable friends in the next few months.

Welcome!! Parent of a 6 yr old girl. You are the second 6 year old girl request - what ever happened to Shelley??

Loved the movie Rent, but have not seen the stage play as of yet. I have in the past loved the play better, as I spent all five years of HS in the theatre company.

Movies over two hours, great value for the money, but my bladder can not take that time and I frequently have to leave for the bathroom, sometimes several times, lol.

Elaine was going to WDW Thursday, I think it must have been Thursday of last week. I did not catch how long they would be gone.

I plan to order a sandpail for Aaron just because I don't want to pack one. Luggage space is to precious!

Long movies...many, many years ago (1968) we went to an all day movie. It was Gone with the Wind (with and intermission) and How the West Was Won (with an intermission). Like 8 hours of movies for just a buck or two. We were poor newlyweds and were grateful for all that entertainment for so little $$. Funny I remember that. :confused3

Don't let your kids read this post......

DGS just told me that Cookie Monster died! :sad1: :sad1: Well, not Cookie Monster himself, but the guy who did his voice. :( We really like Cookie Monster at our house.

:sad2: Time for me to start finding the medication and heading off to bed. Another day tomorrow of folks who just aren't happy like me because they are not going on a Disney Cruise!! :teeth: I must keep that in mind. Boy yesterday morning I had to grab hold of my tush to make sure it was still there because so many people had been chewing on it!!! Hope no more days that like this week. Need my rest!!

oh so sad. I was thinking Carroll Spinney initially and really almost got super choked up. I was just telling DD was one of my favorites. I remember when Jim Henson died. I still get choked up remembering them singing Its not Easy being green.
