I will be heading home in an hour. No news yet on the warranty on the car. :confused3 Need pixie dust. I would way rather pay $800 than $2400.
Of course this was at 7P and I'mreading it at 11:26 so there may be more info later but pixiedust:

Boy, DD must have had quite the day - she is talking again. Her poor brain must need to seriously offload.

I am so glad things worked out with your new pool. How is the water color these days?

Well, up till now our pre cruise plans have been to drive as far as we can get after school on Friday, stop over at an el cheapo hotel in north Fla Friday night, then complete the drive on Saturday morning.

So, DH says to me earlier this week he thinks he can make it all the way to Orlando Friday evening so why don't we make reservations at an All Star? HA! I've been trying. Why didn't any of you tell me that you have to take a blood test to find out availability there? Yikes! Anyhow, we are settled with a room at Best Western on Hotel Plaza. Don't look for us at Jellyrolls however, I still don't expect us to get there before midnight.
We spent one night in that Best Western year before last. It was very nice.

BTW - what's with the little girl in the red? Looks like she is trying to steal the photo-op from Savannah!

OMG! I was thinking the exact same thing. Who is that kid and what's up with the grandstanding pose by our gold medalist!

Oh man Kim. DD starts skating in a couple of weeks and that is all I've heard about ad naseum. She will be thrilled to see the pics.

Kim, love the pics of Savannah! She is obviously enjoying herself, and long before the result were announced, lol. BTW very cute costume!

the water has stabalized and now looks like the "caribbean, love"! The paver people are coming to meet with us Friday evening I think. I am not sure what can be done at this point. The ones they replaced due to cracks, etc are now toe stubbers. What a headache this has been. This is my first experience with any sort of work being done/contracting. I dread anything further.

yes, my temper and my mouth seem to get the best of me sometimes!

2008 - we'll be cruising for sure. I am just not sure of the month. That will be Samantha's first year of K - not too worried about takign her out of school, but DH does want to travel at different times of the year. I am booked 12/15 for next year but plan to change - probably to 12/8 or a different month all together. I can't imagine an entire new group!! I have to check our meets threads for next year!
12/8 YES!! We plan to be on that one. We are waiting to see if anything special is going on in 2008 to decide when to go then since it is the 10th anniversary of the Magic.

I seem to either feast or famine with my points. Some days I am starving and out of points and other days like today I still have points left but I am not that hungry. I even drank my water and met my fruit/veggie quote too.
Drinking all your water is why you are not hungry. :thumbsup2

John doesn't, I do. Actually, Sophia gets up much better than I do. I just turn the light on and tell her Higgleytown Heros is starting and her waffle will be ready. When the waffle is done she is on couch waiting for it. I guess we are lucky. Now I will say that on the weekends that girls will sleep in late!!
We are just the opposite. If she goes to bed late she is terrible to get up in the morning EXCEPT if it's the weekend. Then she is up at 6:30 downstairs watching tv. She's not allowed to watch in the morning during school weeks because she then will do that and can't focus on anything else - like eating or getting ready. :sad2:

Samantha is up watching Narnia......
I finally saw it. I actually enjoyed it. I really liked the old versions and loved the book so I wasn't sure. My sister disliked it.

Angie you mean they don't call you at home yet? My MIL is a patient advocate and they have been calling her at home for years. Its incredible.
NO!!! I have gotten to where I even say "I don't work weekends" when we are out somewhere and someone (like DrHug or DD) introduces me to someone who is a patient at the VA and tells them what I do. When they start I just say "call me Monday at....." I even did that to my BIL. He thinks D***VA is all one word and I just don't want to hear it more than 40 hours a week anymore. Too many years doing this and working in too disfunctional of a medical center right now I guess.

Does your MIL work at a private hospital?

Just caught up. Girls had piano and viola lessons tonight, so I Tivo'd Dancing with the Stars and watched it at 9:30 instead.

Now for my bid for the worst mom in the world award...
At back to school night last week, DD8's teacher gave each of us a large yellow star. We were to take it home, think about what makes our child special, come up with 5 special traits and write them in each point of the star. Then add the child's photo in the middle; decorate if you're crafty. The teacher is putting them up in the room so your child can see it if she needs a lift.... and we were to hand it in by Monday the 25th. And I totally forgot to do it. DD saw me looking at it tonight and said "I was wondering why I didn't have a star on the door!"

Yikes. I'm now crafting a colorful, glittery star for my creative, smart, energetic, happy, fun daughter!!

:lmao: :rotfl2: That is sad! You may be a contender for that award! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Clinic. Unfortunately they (admin) encourage the old timers to call her still because they don't have the patience to speak to them and heaven forbid they need to call in an interpreter. They still think Portuguese and Spanish are the same language never mind comprehending there are different Italian dialects.
