Lisa, the only time they took my sig away before was when the photo was too big, just after the size changes. And I had asked why the tag fairy didn't like me. Now I don't bug the tag fairy and my sig has been left alone, so far. :confused3

Good Morning! :wave2:

It is time for everyone’s favorite post….morning ramblings on every conceivable topic by Becka! :lmao: Today’s post will feature: evening plans, booster seats, weather, GA and preschool birthday parties. :rotfl:

Today after work we are going to my work’s annual company picnic. This year there is a pirate theme. It is usually a pretty fun event. If we have time and/or the energy after the picnic we might run by Wal-Mart and pick out a booster seat for DS. I keep putting it off but I really need to just bite the bullet and do it. I think I keep making excuses for putting it off because I think he might be safer in his nice 5 point harness car seat but he really is getting too big for it. Legally he could have been in a booster since mid-May.

They are calling for 87 as the high here tomorrow. I think it just might be the last of the hot weather since a cold front is moving through and the highs for the next 10 days are not forecast to rise much above 70. The high for Tuesday is only supposed to be 62 with lows in the low 40’s. Brrrrr! :cold: I might have to turn on the heater that night.

I watched a little bit of GA last night and I remembered just how much I love that show. It is the best show on TV right now IMHO. I asked DH for Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD for Christmas but I am having to fight the urge to go out and buy them now. The previews for this season look fantastic. I even had to buy the song “How to Save a Life” that they are using for promos. It is a good song.

DS has a birthday party to go to on Sunday afternoon. I need to go out and buy the birthday boy a gift. I asked DS what he likes and he said trucks really quickly. He then started talking about Bob the Builder so I think I have a good idea of what he would like. Now I just need to find something in my price range. I have been giving things in the $5 range. Is that reasonable for preschool classmate’s parties? I never know how much I should spend.

but you wouldn't do that to a fellow Geek...would you...That'd be like mutiny or something.

RESPECT THE CODE.... ARGGGGG

(Besides there are way bigger offenders out there with there fifty some eggs and stuff like that.)

Actually, when DVD first came out we made a rule to never replace what we already own. :rotfl: So, no DVD movies if we have it on VHS. The same will be true of the wireless wired computer download system.
We will probably have VHS until we can't buy/replace a player anymore.

I'm bad... once DVD became a common household thing I had to go and replace all our favorite movies that we owned on VHS with DVDs. Good thing for Ebay.

Enjoy your morning rambling, Becka.

The price of gift for preschooler is not important. That it is something they enjoy is. IMHO. Lots of us have been known to pick up those really inexpensive small gifts on Black Friday and put them away for birthday parties. ;) Keeps the price way down and the gifts fun for the kids. :thumbsup2

Our summer is over here also. Rain started up again yesterday and the temps are down under 70. Weather report is that we may have a bit of sun Sat and Sun, but I will not hold my breath.
How nice that your warm weather held out for your company picnic! :sunny:

Hey, I heard from some of the local merchants sharing jury duty with me that Lisa Marie Presley hangs out in McMinnville quite a bit. That is where our court is, county seat, 14 miles from us. I knew Goldie Hawn has a place here, but had not heard the Lisa Marie rumors before. :confused3

We still have an assortment of each. I am partial to DVD because of having DVD player in the car, but we still have our VHS. DrHug has been converting some of our family VHS tapes to DVD. DD's wedding etc. It is time consuming though and he has not gotten very far with it.

I have no plans until late afternoon today. 2:45 meet with DGS and his school counselor. A counselor advised him last year not to go to community college, but rather start right in at university. I don't understand why :confused3 since CC is WAY less money for those lower level courses that are required no matter your major, are transferrable AND CC instructors are way more accessable to students if you are having difficulty with something. So, I wanted to meet with them and see what their thinking is - why that recommendation. Also need advise on where to get $$$$$$$$$ for him also. Start of junior year seems like not to soon for him to start looking at that.

Since we're sharing daily plans....I'm heading to my boys pep rally at school. They were so excited that they got to wear their football jerseys over their Catholic school uniforms. I had to wonder if we had to tuck the darn jersey in or risk getting points for not following uniform code.

After the pep rally, we are decorating for the big principal celebration this weekend.

Tonight I get to make floral arrangements for all the tables...I've got 8 dozen pink roses coming to my house....I'm supposed to take them and greenery and a bunch of other flowers and create a bunch of nice centerpieces. :rolleyes1

Tomorrow we have a football game, then I'll be baking sweet treats ... about 8 recipes worth...for the dessert tables.

Finish setting up at school

Celebration on Sunday.

Perhaps a martini and hottub moment on SUnday night.

....and a little Dis'ing if I can get it in....if not - you guys have a great weekend!!

We are guilty of that!! :rotfl2: :lmao:
Absolutely. My week has been heads down with no break and I just reached the end of my rope today and just want the week to be over already....

Ok, so I feel guilty about no card on Grandparents day now despite the fact his mom is the only grandparent around - I didn't know it was here, coming, past etc. Neither did he or he would have gotten a card.

We have never given, or gotten, grandparents day cards. :confused3 Just seems like another marketing ploy. I called my grandmother every week and told her I loved her, my grandkids tell me that all the time also. I don't need for them to get me card on some specific day. ?????

grandparents day... never heard of it! Hope my parents aren't wondering why they aren't receiving cards this week!
