Yes, the style is long and tight now. DD got a lot of tank tops with shirts that go over them for a cute layered look so it's pretty modest. Sad thing is that the juniors clothes aren't as revealing as the stuff they sell in the little girls section. That's just really scary to me.

And oh I totally LOVED the 80s style! :goodvibes

The layering is a good idea, but the tanks we saw were WAY too long as far as for under a shirt? But DD is fairly short statured. I wonder if they have them in a 14 or 16 size that wouldn't be quite as long as the Jrs.

We have one GDN that is 15 and dresses very classy, like a lady. She also had classic beauty, not cutsie look. When we take her shopping (and we do, like all the rest :sad2: - DrHug is a big old softie with the kids!) we are just so impressed with what she picks out. She also says she wants to be a pharmacist like Uncle D. :) I think he is a good role model for them all.

I would always laugh when I would see girls, my nieces included, constanly be hiking up their pants and pulling down their shirts! Well duh????? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

Can I say that I despise hip-huggers! :furious:

Maybe partially because there is no way I could wear them! :rotfl2:

DGS 13 downloaded something on the computer we let the boys use that had a virus that ate up some files needed to boot the machine. :sad2: He's a mess, that one! :confused3 So, now DGS 16 does not have a computer for his homework (and his game!). So DrHug told him he can have our old laptop for his room, but NOT to tell his brother! :rolleyes1 I think DrHug will look at their computer this weekend and see if he can get it running for "little brother". Big brother will have his hidden away though, for backup! :sad2:

Well, um, er, I wore hip-huggers way back in the early 70's. Of course I was an adult, not a little child, and I COULD wear them then! No more! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: We did not wear short little shirts though and our midriffs did not show.

You're right, the ones I got DD are very long, the shirt over it is long too but the way it layers it's kind of cute having the tank peek under the shirt. It works well. It did take me some getting used to with the length though, at first I kept telling her she should tuck it in. :rotfl:

low rise jeans make me crazy! I refuse to buy them, for me or for DD. I've had to search high and low to find NORMAL jeans. Why are normal rise jeans so hard to find?! I just don't understand the "fashion" of today.

OMW! I was just in the kitchen and my mom actually came over to my house to see where was! She left a note for me to call.

Yes! Even in the "plus" sizes they are low rise! What's with that?? I do not want "all that" hanging over the top of my pants! :earseek: :lmao: Besides, the are very uncomfortable if you have any tummy at all.
