I use my crockpots, plus my mom's and sister's for mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving. I have to make so many for the hordes that come here, that I started making them the day before, putting them in the fridge, then into the crockpots Thanksgiving. On low about 4 hours with frequent stirring and you have mashed potatoes just like you just made them. Very helpful hint I read in the food section of the newspaper about 6 or 7 years ago.

But Angie - how do they not dry out? There wouldn't be much liquid in there...

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't checked in over the summer, we have been busy! Now I am getting back into cruise planning mode. I'll be crusing with my then 5 and 7 year old sons. From what I recall, there are lots of kids in that age range, right? Dh is not yet sure he is coming, he may have to work.

I haven't told the boys yet about the trip. Their birthdays are in November so I will tell them then, it can be a bday present.

Are we doing shirts for the disboard'ers? It would be fun to give the boys their shirts as a bday present and see if they put it together, haha!

Hey hows it going? Just checking in to say hi. The boys just did the soapbox derby in town. There "uncle Ed" built them a seattle mar. baseball car last year to race with. The hill they race on isn't two steep but they have a ton of fun. Spencer got 2nd place and wyatt got 3rd. Anyway Welcome to the new ones. My boys will be 7 and 9 when we go. Well better rum over to my moms and check on them. Mum

how cool, i am so bad with names i always check the webpage to make sure I use the right one, but I lost it when my computer had to be restored, agh! We don't have fun stuff like that up here, i wanted to do soapbox after the little rascals did it, lol.

Can you believe that I got a message from my McAfee that it detected a virus on my computer. I had to go do a scan. I'm so mad. I think it might have been with that font. I'm telling ya, the creative dispeople were warning everyone about a site with a virus, but I just didn't listen.

grrrr....I hope I got everything off the computer. I'm gonna do a whole system scan later.

Believe it or not...I have to go watch BB. The THursday version was preempted here for a pittsburg steelers football game. Well - people were FURIOUS!!!! So the local channel decided to run it at 7 and then the regular show after.

For those of you on chat last night, we found out today that DD did NOT eat on Friday. She was lying about the corndog. She felt guilty and told us herself. Hmmm as someone who loves food just in general, this one stumps me....

I forgot to tell you all that today I had to buy duct tape. I could not even walk down the isle without smiling. I was at my local grocers and they were out. So, because I did not have enough energy for Lowes, I seriously need GPS in that store, I still need duct tape. Maybe tommorow...

Angie, does he know from day to day where he is going or is it a suprise?

He's booked about a month out. They are booking him a few days in October now. They send him jobs and he says yes or no. There are a couple of stores that he won't work at and the nice thing is he can just say no when those are offered. He just told his agency he does not want to work at the Costco he was at a few times the last couple of weeks. Traffice is terrible going from our place to that area and a micro-managing manager. He doesn't have to work there if he chooses not to. They have lots of other needs for pharmacists in the area. Only on very rare occasion would he get a same day call saying someone is desparate (illness or something) for someone to cover a store. Most of the stores have their own floats that they call on short notice.
