I have to say thank you to everyone for their support & help last night even though everything may not have ended as hoped. I have NEVER been part of such a wonderful group of people. Kim & Carla....you two didn't have to be there with us at 3 am however your presence really helped everyone who was waiting for the 90 day mark to arrive. Checking availability and times for excursions still showing open on your own reservations was extremely helpful for the pre booking planning. Both of you also cancelled your Palo resies in order to see which times were still open so that we had a chance to select a couple of alternate times. Kim, I feel terrible about your CC booking being so messed up now when you were trying to help us out.

Everyone else in chat last night was also great. I remember Caroline had a problem with the Dolphin excursion and several of you walked her thru finding the correct excursion. Someone also checked the times available for the stingrays at CC to make sure that there was still an 11 time before I cancelled the 10 am that showed up incorrectly after there wasn't even a 10 available for me to choose from. I would have rather rushed to make it to the 10 am than risk losing out completely. All of the encouraging words for all of us who had problems with the stupid system really helped me get thru what would have otherwise been a horrible experience. (OK it still stinks but the tears only lasted a few minutes versus hours if I had been on my own.)

Thinking about the 6-8 hours I spent chatting to you while trying to go to sleep at 5 am this morning...well, that is why we can't stay away from the thread here, why we end up driving our SOs a little mad with our DIS adiction that they just can't "get", and why we check the thread every so often hoping to see another post...which we know will be there, and much more than all of the misspellings and inside jokes that would drive others away. I have only met a few of you yet I have never felt this close to a group of people since I was in high school. Over the past year or more for some of us...we have shared everything together......births, deaths, illness, seperations, celebrations, birthdays, kids, and everything else that could possibly happen to someone.

I am excited for our cruise to get here ~ probably more so than any of the other cruises ~ not just so that we can cruise with the mouse again, but because we will be cruising with all of you! As sappy as this may sound ~ it is true. I am very proud to be a part of this group and I hope that our friendships last far beyond disembarkation on 12/16/06.

Very Nice and Well Said Lisa . . .

And for you and everyone else, the feeling is mutual.

we sometimes make a weekend of going to the Eric Carle museum nearby and there is an upcoming kids show in that area as well that we had on our list.
Oh, that is on our list of museums..that and Dr Seuss' museum.

Now Caroline, we wouldn't be a bit sensitive about mis-spellings, would we?

Trust me - they DID cost a bundle . . .

I scanned the prints - they did not give me digital copies, if they did, I would have gotten away MUCH cheaper!

i know.... For our shoot they took like 45 shots and when we went to view them it took like 2 hrs just to eliminate some of them because i loved each one.

I wanted so many prints but did get a lovely trifold portfolio for a keepsake with about 10 smaller prints in it. Between that, a couple wall pictures, a few 4x6's for GP's, and wall print for DM we spent a little over $700.

Lisa, very well said and my setiments exactly! That was one wild ride last night!!

I have to add that this group makes my life a little bit more bearable. From DH being away, to venting, to sharing. I just need to hug someone!! :grouphug:

Added! What time for brunch?
when do you think Lisa? ;) I always planned to go Monday at 10:30. I thought I could slowly introduce DH by seeing you all there even though we wouldn't be eating with you. I thought it would take the edge off of him feeling pressured to interact with strangers by giving the friendly wave across the room. I was actually never going to mention it and catch you all at the buffet table.

WOW!! :earseek: But they do last forever.

Bella - Carla (right?) if you haven't been, the Eric Carle museum is great and you can spend several hours there. They have a large art room where the kids can make projects and the library has story hour with readings from illustrators that they invite to read and speak. They get some great speakers.

we were thinking of seeing the Doodlebops in Amherst in Oct. - have to check the soccer schedule first.

Oh there you go again mentioning Fluff, first Becka (although not in that way). Don't you recall there are no chips and chocolate in my house. ;) Now I'm craving fluff. Who'd a thought. I'm being light hearted about Lisa's note because it made me do that I'm not emotional blink. Hormones are already heywire.

Get out the Doodlebops - oh my. They were the alternate week for the Florida trip recently. It was them or Wiggles and Johnny and the Sprites and DD likes Johnny. Thank heavens because I don't know that I could watch the Doodlebops. I mean they are clowns! Other than Jojo I feel I did my clown duty last year at the circus and hanging down at the BWV clown pool. Oh boy. Doodlebops...yikes.

I honestly do not know what I am ever going to do as she grows up.
DH says that as well. Today DD told him that he would need to accept that he couldn't always make her lunch. (She can buy her lunch now as a 1st grader). He looks so forlorn when he told me the story. You should have seen them watching football this afternoon. I have the greatest visual memories of them together during some sporting event on tv. "Dad, Dad you missing it Dad!" "I'm coming, what's happening - give me the play by play"

This evening as she was brushing her teeth her electric toothbrush became her mic and I was expecting her to break into song when she started doing a play by play. She is a riot.

I plan on taking my digital camera up with me for some awesome shots of CC and the Magic.

Anyone else plan on doing so?

I'm thinking of just taking a waterproof disposal camera... I know the picture quality won't be as good but I don't want to risk dropping my digital in the ocean.

Holy cow! I had you with a 12 GTY!!! Did you switch it or that is what they gave you??? :woohoo:

We'd originally booked a GTY category 6 but I got a little nervous about the GTY, I'm kind of picky of where I wanted to be located so we just went ahead and paid a little more for the cat. 5 so that I could pick my own room. I WISH it was a free upgrade but no such luck.

Is there an online way of paying into your shipboard account? I would like to in effect pay in advance the price of excursions, Palo and spa etc. I saw the form in that little excursion book but only there.
