Good Morning! :wave2:

It sounds like it might be pretty quiet around here this weekend. So many people are out of town, I have family coming up to visit so they will keep me busy part of the weekend, plus I am sure some of you have big Labor Day plans. :)

I just hope I can survive the workday. I have end-of-summer-itis BAD and I just want to get out of here. It is supposed to be 78 today and sunny and IMHO it does not get much better than that. I would love to take off early, go home, turn up the music, get some cleaning done and relax!

Brandi - Please be careful driving. I will be worried about you. In fact unless you think I am too crazy I will PM you my # and you can give me a call so we know you made it safely. Then I can let everyone here know too.

A joke to start out your Friday....

Harold, the Computer Guy ...

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Harold, the computer guy, to come over.

Harold clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. He gave me a bill for a minimum service call.

As he was walking away, I called after him, "So, what was wrong?"

He replied, "It was an ID ten T error."

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, "An ID ten T error? What's that, in case I need to fix it again?"

The computer guy grinned.... "Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?"

"No," I replied.

"Write it down," he said, "and I think you'll figure it out."

So I wrote out: I D 1 0 T

I used to like Harold....

too funny Becka! Once again I am wishing the workday away!!

Our air was nice and kicking last night....so DH is out of the safe house....I think he ran out of beer anyway.

Tonight we are heading up to Gainesville. Staying the night and then won't be back home until much much later Sat night. The game isn't until 6pm so I figure we'll be home 1am ish. Then Sunday we have our football draft which lasts all day long. So I won't be around much this weekend.

!

Have a safe trip and enjoy the game. Everyone around here is gearing up for Penn State game...its getting crazy!!

Morning all!! Last night we were watching the South Carolina game...yeah Spurrier won!! :)

As far as Fl resident discounts...those (to my understanding) are not eligible on the suites (cat 1-3's) ~ I wish!!:)

Angie - we were booked on the May repo and I cancelled. I looked into airfare for the 4 of us and then the thought of two little ones on a 9+ hour flight was just scary!! And of course we would have cancelled this one....maybe in the future we'll be able to take a repo to some exotic place.

Tonight we are heading up to Gainesville. Staying the night and then won't be back home until much much later Sat night. The game isn't until 6pm so I figure we'll be home 1am ish. Then Sunday we have our football draft which lasts all day long. So I won't be around much this weekend.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

V- have a great time at the game! :cheer2: We are looking forward to watching USC first game tomorrow night. It is on ESPN 5:45 Pacific time. :cheer2: May we both have a SUPER Saturday! :cheer2:

I've just got to vent - why is it the busier you are...the slower your computer becomes? OMG!!!! I have had so many computer problems today I could cry....screaming hasn't worked....hey what about that saran wrap idea?!! Guess it doesn't work on non-living stuf...hmmm....

Hey all,
Back from the orthodontist and a stop at DS preschool to drop off paperwork. After the appointment the orthodontist asked me when DD got so tall and grown up (and he sees her once a month or so!!) Then he showed me the file photos from just a year ago when she started-and her face has really changed!
Preschool of course was empty except for the director doing some last minute stuff, but DS wanted to stay and play. Had to force him back into the car. Yeah, we'll be the only family with drama and tears when it's time to leave!!
Rain is coming soon, so I have to get to the grocery store.

I am worried about Brandi. I think they left before she got my PM and this is what I am reading on MSNBC.

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Weakening Tropical Storm Ernesto poured torrential rain across North Carolina and Virginia on Friday, flooding highways, forcing evacuations and knocking out power to thousands of homes and businesses.

The system made landfall just before midnight on the heels of thunderstorms that already had drenched North Carolina.

On the Outer Banks, waves and standing water shut down part of the main road, and a roughly 12-mile section of Interstate 40 on the mainland was closed briefly early Friday by flooding, the state Department of Transportation said. High water and fallen trees also slowed travel in Virginia.

OK we have maybe two drops of rain so far and they've already gave our kids a two hour dismissal.....

UGGGG you'd think it'd never rained before...i mean we were in a drought ....it's not like the river's high or anything....

Big Brother is now over in the Mountain Time Zone. But Todd, out of courtesy to you, I will not post my feelings yet....

Kim

So how'd you like the show? I really wanted Erika to leave next and was disappointed she won veto. :( At least George got some KFC though. ;)

I haven't thought about Palo dinner yet. The girls love to do dinner, so last time we double dipped. The waiter didn't bring us out anything but what we ordered. I am guessing this was because he knew we had to get to dinner.

So how was it to double dip? I'm contemplating doing this so we can still enjoy the main dining room with the kids after our Palo dinner. I just worry that I'll be so full I won't want to sit there. I could say I'll eat light at Palo but I'm probably kidding myself. :rotfl2:

As for BB, the procrastinator in me won. I figured I had 72 free hours and could come on now and cancel my "Live" subscription. NOPE! :furious: Can't do it on the computer. Have to call in during business hours!! Ah well. 15 bucks wasted as I don't really watch it any way and there is no one I want to watch!! :sad2:

:( I'd try to call anyway. It may take them a few days to charge and maybe they can stop it? :confused3

We did a double dip on our 4 night because our Palo night was the night we were in AP. We took the kids, watched the show and just ordered very lightly. I had part of a salad and a few bites of one of the entrees. DH just picked at one entree. We then went to Palo about 90 minutes later and enjoyed a nice dinner.

Good morning all.
Just had to wake DD13 up. She has an orthodontist appt this morning. Next week is not going to be easy getting things going in the morning before school!!!
Wow! My DD is in school already! She started Aug 14. Middle schoolers do get one break here though. School does not start until 9:30, so they can sleep in a little.

I sent it to all my repair geek friends and co workers.

Hello everybody! Just taking a quick look in to see how things are going and to check the post count. I can't believe how much I've missed but that's life anyway. The cruise is getting so close and I'm so excited! :cool1: :cool1:

My cruise "box" has turned into a cruise "bookcase" and a "chest" where I've started setting aside summer clothes, formal clothes, swimwear, pirate things, toiletries and little gifts. pirate: pirate:

I've asked for two way radios for my birthday. (No I won't tell you when it is).

This weekend we are driving down to Jekyll Island GA and all I can think is it will be a great time to do some end of season shopping for beach wear. :yay: :yay:

Anyhow, that's my news and I'm sticking to it! Everyone have a great holiday weekend and I'll check back later.
