That looks like so much fun! :dance3:

I made some more progress in DDs room with painting, but I doubt I will have her back in there before school starts. I have to paint the closet and the rest of the trim, plus some touch ups, then lay the flooring. I did it last time, but I will need my dad to cut the trimming for the floor to fit. Ugh, I forgot about the new trim for around the floor!! I can't do that!! There is just so much more to do before school starts and I want them to have some fun. Not to mention that fallball (softball) will be starting this week too.

Oh yeah! Those of you claiming to be procrastinators, you have nothing on me!! :lmao: I am the queen of that!! :rotfl2:

My mom had a yard slae today and we were supposed to take some stuff over, but with getting up at 6 for the ::cop: , the girls took awhile to get back to sleep, then wouldn't wake up. So we are supposed to go tomorrow so they can sell some of their things and lemonade.

We are taking Sophia and her BF from school Dominique to Cedar Point on Monday. I have been promising Sophia we would take her all summer, and I am finally doing it on the last Monday before school starts.

Everyone else's school has already started, so I am hoping for less of a crowd. Cedar Point is the largest Amusement Park in Ohio, and has some of the best roller coasters anywhere in the US. It is a small peninsula right on Lake Erie, and about a 2 hour drive for us. Sophia likes roller coasters, but not the big ones yet, and not anything that goes upside down.

Me, I love them all. I especially like the ones where your feet dangle, and you feel like you are flying. The only one I have not liked is the ones where you stand up. Amy and I rode one once when first married at King's Island in Cincinnatti, and it is the only time I have been scared on a coaster. I felt very insecure on that one.

If Becka were here, I would ask for a coaster smiley . . .

John1
DrHug!!! Another retirement stop. Put it on the list! John1, looks like we will have to spend a few days in your neck of the woods. :woohoo:

I am happy to say that my girls are getting LESS and less like me when it comes to rides. They had a ball at Sesame Place and on the WW boardwalk tried some new ones. DD 12 (Sarah) finally went on a small roller coaster. I thought she was about to cry when she got to the top before the first dip and I almost cried myself FOR her. But she was laughing by the end, although she said she was laughing from relief that it was over! :rotfl2: She may try it again though. DD 3 (Dina) had a ball and loved all the rides! We may go back again Tuesday for their last family day. It is only 5 minutes away. :teeth:

OMG!! A kidney stone on the cruise??!! That would be my worst nightmare! I have had two severe attacks, with the last one being a few years ago. NOT FUN!!!
Yes, but they had very good medical care. Very compassionate and DrHug was watching everything they gave me and how much and how it was given and he said they did great. And as you know, after the stone passes you have absolutely no pain, it's like nothing was wrong. So, by Christmas morning I was fine except very tired from not getting much sleep. Oh, and my health insurance paid all $500 of the bill except for a $15 copay. It took a month or so for me to get it, but they did pay.

I am trying to fill up this last week before school starts (9/5) and when my best friend leaves for California. :sad1: Her DH is in the CG and she stayed here with her mother all summer while he was at school. They are leaving Friday for San Diego. Sometimes I just have to shake my head at the military. Her DH is up for a promotion and chances are very good he will get it. So instead of extending his current billet for a year, they have to move across country, then be transfered and move again by next July if he gets the promotion. Does the military like to spend all of that money on tranfers?? :confused3 All I know is that I have been spoiled with her here all summer and I will miss her terribly when they are gone. DDs won't know what to do without her kids. :worried:
Caroline, :grouphug:

I signed the girls up for their dance classes. They changed them around a bit, so no acro this year, too late! Dina will take it though and Amanda wants to take gymnastics instead on Fridays. So Mondays will be from 3:30 - 7 for Amanda with an hour and a half break in there for dinner and a class she isn't taking. Tuesdays, Sarah will take ballet from 4-5 and tap from 7-8. In between, Dina has class from 4:30 - 6, so we will eat at the restaurant and Sarah can do her homework during that time. I haven't figured out if I will go down at 8 to pick her up or if DH can do it while at work. It used to be so much easier when the classes they took were consecutive!

I always got kidney stones during my pregnancies! It was absolutely awful! The worst pain of my life (even worse than labor), I can't even imagine having one on vacation. So awful. :(
Yep, I've had two kindey stones, both during Christmas week and both away from home several years apart. I agree, I would rather have all three of my kids at once than to have one kidneystone.

DH dug out the old mulch around the playground and we are contemplating what to do. Wood mulch gets weeds no matter what we do. This last time we had the liner in and everything, but still lots of weeds from the mulch. We want to get the rubber mulch, but are afraid it will be too dirty. Anyone have any experience with rubber tire mulch?? :confused3 We would go with the black since the colored stuff is twice as much!

The first time I had an attack, I had no idea what was going on. Why couldn't I pee!!!??? :rotfl: I ended up looking it up on the internet. Went to the hospital, but after one night, I figured I would be better off rolling and moaning in my own bed! Drugs didn't help very much. The second one, I was driving home with my mom and DDs and we were about 45 minutes from home. I was like, oh no!! After a few stops for the rstroom with no success, the pain kicked in so om drove us home. I didn't even bother going to the hospital this time.
Boy I go straight for the drugs! They gave me IV morphine in Montana with the first, but on the ship they gave me IV demoral and that did not do the job so they added an injection in my leg of toradol. Then I felt "real nice" for awhile.

Makes my head spin!!

Sarah went to her school last week for 3 days for what they called the Tietleman Experience. On the last day they got their schedules and what team they are on, there are three. Luckily Sarah is very easy going. A friend of mine has a DD who was assigned the same team as Sarah. Well, when she picked her up, she was hysterical!! She said Sarah was the only person she knew and only had two classes with her. mind you, MANY kids were not there. But what got her so upset was that there were kids teasing the ones who got this team. Things they heard etc, that the teachers were mean and so forth. Sarah said she did hear some kids saying stuff, but ignored it. Well, my friend's DD was one who would get pysically ill before school when she was younger from nerves, so she talked to the principal who ended up changing her team. She wanted to stay to be with Sarah since they were in the pre-alg class together, but such is life. We shall see who else is in Sarah's team when school starts.

I saw that on the Home and Garden Channel on a yard makeover and the contractor sang it's praises not only for the play area but also for the regular flower beds.

Angie, they gave me IV demoral when I first got the hospital, then the injection of it later. OUCH!! It really didn't help for very long and I was much more comfortable at home in my own surrounding where I could scream as loud as I wanted! :lmao: I can't remember what I took at home though.

I'm sure it will work out and she will have several friends in her team. 6th grade?

I looks pretty Angie, but the playground at our ferry terminal has it and the kids get filthy! I am not sure if it has to do with where you get it. The contractor said there is some dust and didn't seem to be able to give a very straight answer as to just HOW dirty one would get. The closest place that sells it is almost 2 hours away, but I want to go up and actully see it first before we buy it. I also read some things on the internet about how it can kill your plants. But of course , it is the internet. :rotfl:
