How many employees do you and DH have? It seems very stressful!

We are nowhere near as big as most of the companies you or your spouses all work for! We only have 350.

Kim

Did you ever look in the mirror and wonder....where did the time go? How did I end up with x amount of kids, married for x amount of years, taken x amount of Disney trips.

You are all probably :rotfl: laughing at me but I seriously can't even believe that I am about to turn 30 and that my DS is heading to Preschool. My baby is going to school!!!! I feel so....I just don't know. (Very unlike me!)

"ONLY" 350!!!! That is pretty large! I work for a school district so we have pretty many employees. My DH works for a very small company...only about 10 employees or so!

It is stressful, but the one REALLY BIG benefit I have is that whenever DD needs me, gets sick, needs a PTA person, needs to go to ice skating etc... I can do that. It's only a matter of me fixing my schedule. Kind of a nice perk.

That really would be nice. I think that is a big perk for many people who own their own business.

I just saw a promo for the evening news....."Blackberry addiction. For some it is being treated like a drug addiction. How badly are you addicted?"

That is us....DIS addicts!!!

OK I lied earlier about killing every plant. There are a few plants I have been unable to kill.....the weeds in our yard! Ack! :sad2:

Brandi - I really hope the teething tablets work for you. They really were a godsend for us. :)

Hi all! I don't usually post during work because I have so much to do, but I thought I would give you all a big THANKS today! This morning, I had a workmans comp issue that made me so angry I was just shaking. I could not concentrate, I kept reading the letters over and over and I just could not calm down. So what did I do you ask? I came over here and read all your posts. I have to say it was amazingly effective. The only side effect now is that I am exhasted from expending all that energy. But I am calm and have put everything back in perspective. So THANKS everyone!

Kim

Kim,

I keep thinking that you and I could sit by the campfire and share lots of war stories. I am also the worker's comp. administrator for our company, and as an attorney have dealt with hearings. I could tell stories that would probably make your hair curl! I have a hearing coming up that is of a real concern to me . . . where a guy for no known reason or cause passes out at work and seriously injured himself when he fell to the floor and hit his head. You guessed it, filed worker's comp just because it happened at work. Another one is appealing a decision denying an addition to a claim - she injured herself on a snowy day on her BREAK going out to smoke, she slipped and fell on the ice in the parking lot - claim allowed. Nine months later, she fell on the steps at home and claims her ankle was weakened by her work injury and THAT is why she fell down the steps! It makes me CRAZY!

Anyway, the DIS is a good stress relief!

And Brandi, yes, I am addicted too - what will we all do (and I am afraid to ask this) AFTER the cruise? That's why we are cruising 12/1/07!

John, I have just been shaking my head at your post. You sound just like me. I feel GREAT empathy for you! Sometimes just hearing about someone like you going through this stuff makes me feel like maybe I am not totally crazy and that many other people go through this... We would have to have a REALLY BIG CAMPFIRE for it to last as long as I think you and I could compare... like the time the girl slipped on grated cement because we were watering the lawn..... Who ever heard of grated cement being slippery...

I am going to have to get DH to book the 12/1/07 cruise. Think of it as really cheap therapy!

Brandi, what channel? DH has GOT to watch this! Or I have to tape it and send it to his blackberry!

Cheap therapy? :confused3 Who are you guys seeing for therapy....Dr. Phil? :rotfl:

I don't think I could ever consider a DCL cruise cheap but if we can count it as therapy will my insurance help pay for it? ;)

I already wish we could cruise with so many of you next year. However, we just can't. Maybe in 2008/2009 we can cruise together again. That would give us time to save up again! :teeth:

Actual cruise planning question...

About this rainforest room. What exactly do you wear? Would something like a bathing suit paired with some shorts be good?

Cleaning out subs earlier I saw the cruise thread when we first cruised with John's family. It got up to a whole 39 pages over the course of a year...572 posts. :lmao: Not a very chatty bunch. ;)

Sorry, Becca, I have no idea. I doubt that I will ever see the inside of the spa.

I guess it's time to get dinner going. DD wants shrimp & feta....again! LOL! She likes everything about that dish but the shrimp. :lmao:

I wish we were going 12/1/07 but I can't vacation the first 6-7 days of the month due to work....:( We are supposed to cruise again next year but I was actually looking at going to Beaches next year for something different....of course we'd still have our couple weekend Disney trips for my Disney fix....but if asked DH would rather cruise DCL, go to Beaches and skip WDW....not much of a compromise eh?

Not sure about dinner here.....would love something nice and fattening....

Brandi..... :sad2: My DGS is going for a job interview tomorrow. :sad2:

Maybe we can think about planning a reunion gathering at WDW or somewhere in FL next year. :)
