Dennis - Did Angie give you supper tonight or is it just snack time? :confused3 You are doing alot of food posting!!! :rotfl:

I think I was meant to be a reporter. I always tell John I wish I didn't work and that I had a ton of money. Because if I did I would fly all over the country to follow these type of stories.

Now I find out that Mary Winkler, the wife that shot her minister husband, was released on bail today. Very interesting....

I should probably go to bed, but first I have to go look at Sophia's room. When she came down to say goodnight she had marker and nail polish all over her hands. I am afraid to see her room.

Oh and by the way PJ I can have Sophia on the next flight to Toronto. She won't even ask to take a bath and all she seems to eat lately is pasta and ice cream!!

Loved the Newsletter!!

Good Morning everyone!!! I wish I were still sleeping....but my kiddos make sure that I am not!!!

Morning all...another chatty night. I was lazy and hung out on the couch watching the teen choice awards...now if you've read my TR you know I am not a prude in the least but I was shocked at some of the behaviors and language they used on there and all the innuendos from the adult commentators....and everythime they spanned the "teens" in the audience I would definitely say they were more 12-14 range...not the "older" teens....John just kept looking at me and shaking his head. Johnny Depp looked HOT though...I love him in that 21 jump street grunge phase...and Nick Lachey....well, I would definitely take whats left.

Becka - don't worry I have been thinking the same thing about my girls....Haley was really great at dinner most of the time last year and Samantha was a pain, now that Haley is that much older and sees that Samantha is not in a high chair she feels she doesn't need to be in one either. Let's just give 'em a plate of Mickey bars and they will be fine. ;)

I am really starting to get anxious for this trip...can't it be December already?

Amy - I know what you mean about following stories....I didn't want to be a reporter but I think maybe a forensic scientist or something along that nature...I have always been obsessed with crimes....my mom feared for her life at one point in high school (well jokingly)...I would check out the bio's on the Hillside Stranglers, Ted Bundy, etc....call me weird but things like that have always fascinated me as to how a person's mind can work like that...in such a premeditated way....now crimes of passion I can totally get!

Good Morning all! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I have about 50 pages to catch up on so it may take me a while.

I have started the Christmas Rush in the quilting job so I won't be able to be here as much as I was this summer. :guilty:

PJ you did another FANTASTIC job on the newsletter. I love it.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Well I guess I should be glad I will not be the only one, huh? Allie just gave up her high chair here at home a few days ago. We moved her to a booster seat at the table and I think she likes that much better but she still pitches a fit when she wants down. The problem may be on the cruise that I don't believe the booster seats on the cruise have straps so I can keep her contained in her seat. I am not sure she will be safe in an unstrapped booster but I fear she will really fight a high chair now.

Allie is also probably a more typical toddler than Nathan was and she is getting much pickier with her food. Nathan was always a good eater and would eat pretty much what you put in front of him and would eat a decent meal almost all the time. DD will sometimes refuse to eat certain things and most of the time it seems like she will only eat 2 or 3 bites and she is done. How she can have her kind of energy while eating practically nothing I will never understand. She does have a sweet tooth though and will never turn down sweets so those Mickey bars will probably be the only thing she will want to eat on the cruise.

The older Allie gets the more I realize that we really were pretty lucky with DS in a lot of ways. He has caused his fair share of trouble but DD is just proving to be more of a problem in some of those critical areas like eating, sleeping, temperment, etc.. We have started using time outs for her lately and the problem is that she so adores her big brother (who still occassionally has to have his own time outs) that she is actually happy there. I think she feels like a big girl because she has the same punishment as DS. She actually will put herself in time out when she does something she knows she should not do because she likes it. How do you compete with that?

Well I should get back to work. I will check in later. Oh and beware DH (mice pins) had me send the link to his e-mail address this morning so I figure he will be popping up around lunch time. :wave2:

Don't tell DH but, I've secretly started packing.
:tiptoe:

Don't worry - I have too!

Becka - Allie and Haley sound alot alike...although Haley is a great eater as is Samantha...I only wish I had their metabolism! Some days seem such a struggle, we haven't started Haley in time outs yet but she pretty much doesn't do anything "bad" yet just being over tired and crancky sometimes and then she is much better just going to bed. Last night was VERY odd though...she couldn't get to sleep which is highly unusual for her....Samantha on the other hand had no problem.

We just got a booster seat for Samantha - it has a removable back, which we left on for now and it is MUCH nicer. Before, she has such long legs and DH is so tall thus the seat needs to be further back her knees would be in the back of the driver's seat. The booster is lower and much nicer. We then gave Haley her old seat so now Haley is forward facing, which the jury is still out on, but she was so smiley all the way to school - like she was such the big girl now. I'm constantly amazed that they have grown as much as they have....:( they aren't "babies" anymore!

Good morning everyone. We have just been hanging out being lazy here this morning. The kids go back to school on Friday so not much more of that to go. I am going to start deep cleaning the kitchen while they watch Blue Talks. I haven't seen the top of the cabinets in a while...but I know there is stuff up there that shouldn't be.

Another one here where DS was so much easier as a baby...heck all the way to three at least. DD was born with an attitude. OY BOY! She hasn't lost it...but that is what is making me lose my mind. Their tempers are both pretty bad. I am hoping that school is going to chill them out since they wont be together 24/7 anymore.
