Finally I'm caught up. Now I need to decide what's for dinner .... PB&J on hot dog rolls (no bread here) or nuke a tv dinner. Maybe a pizza from Papa Johns! I really don't eat well when I am alone.

I'm sorry Brack I couldn't help you earlier..... I myself had to stop at the grocery store because we were even out of butter..... Still had some milk though.....

and Marielle.... when i get to 42...i'll have a 21 year old DD. and here's another sobering thought... at 42 my DM became a DGM.

As for dinner tonight.... DH grilled chicken and made rice and california veggies for dinner. (it's weird that i like those veggies now because i never ate broccoli and cauliflower until after college)

Becka, ever cooked a chicken or turkey with the gibblets bag inside, . Been there, done that, lol.

LOL... one thanksgiving, DH and I were searching for the neck and giblets in the turkey but couldn't find them. We figured they forgot to include them with the turkey so we cooked it and when it was finished we found the cooked neck and giblet bag inside.

Just popped into Hair Cuttery for -- what else-- a quick haircut. The girl doing my cut looked young; her dad happened to come in to drop something off. So chit-chat goes on; turns out my stylist is 24; her mom is 42. I'll be 42 at the end of the year and I have a 2-year-old (almost 3!) Even my oldest is almost 13. I'm sure her mom can't imagine having a 2-year-old any more than I can imagine having a 24-year-old!

Well Marielle, I am 46, and Amy is 42, and we have a 19 year old, and a six year old . . . we can imagine . . .

Well, we had a "meet the fall sports teams" and carnival tonight for our school district. Small carnival with about four rides, but it was nice for Sophia, and there happened to be a Mexican restaurant in the plaza . . . I swear we have the same family (the food is identical) running this one as the one we ate at when we visited Lisa in NC! Of course, we also had to get a funnel cake at the carnival - so my chances on the DIS challenge are sinking faster than the Titanic!

For the last 6 months, I have NOT gained a pound, and I get on the scale this morning, and two pounds UP!

So I get back, and it looks like it was a slow night . . . that's OK - hopefully everyone is too busy to post or be on the computer. Of course, I think just like Becka . . . wonder if everyone is OK? At least I can get caught up.

I've gotten to a point where Doctors, Principals, and Teachers are younger than me. YUK!

I did that on the first Thanksgiving I cooked at my house!!!! I had no idea they were in there!!! Little buggers!

You know the more I think of this the more I realize it would never happen to me. I have to find the giblets to make giblet gravy. Yummy!

OY! Not looking good with the navs so I am going to stop looking at them. LOL! Brunch is great for the girls going to the lab but DS will be out on deck 10 sports deck for 2 hours.

I also told Amy I had a dream last night (in that hazy time between waking up and sleeping in the early morning) that I am posting on this thread. Don't remember what I was posting, who I was posting to, etc.. Just remember that I HAD to keep writing on the thread and could not stop!

We are watching some nut on Discovery who is going to skateboard off a ramp and over a cliff into the Grand Canyon.

I guess being addicted to posting on the DIS is not so nutty. At least I don't think I could splatter on a cliff from doing this!

Dang fool missed the rail and almost hit the side of the canyon . . . I thought he was a dead man. Just enough room for the chute.

The nut is adjusting the ramp to do it again, and he has his about 6 year old little girl there watching.

Well, he made it the second time, but I am still trying to figure out the point of this.
