Oh please don't tell me that is next. This month consistent question is "Why did you and Daddy decide to have a baby?" or "Why did you and Daddy decide to get married?" Of course at different points during the month I answer both of those questions a number of different way - in my head of course .

Oh....you haven't gotten the how does the baby come out one yet?

Oh man...you made my stomache hurt. I'm having a hard enough time with the body parts noises and jokes. I didn't find them hilarious as a kid and even less so now. DH and DD of course find it all terribly amusing. I don't get what makes her just fall down cracking up.

I have not caught up yet, but I thought I would post to tell you all about the travel:

1. I had my carry on checked twice. Once at security and once right before the plane.
2. My inhaler was fine to take, but I had to take it out of the bag and put it with my laptop.
3. The lady in front of me got her shoes confiscated because they have gel in the soles. It was a design thing, but then she had no shoes. would not even have thought about that.
4. I have a pen that has gel around it to make it soft. They spent a lot of time on that.
5. Security lines were cake, it was check in that was horrid. Lines throughout the airport. I turned around and went to skycap....
6. No extra water or drinks on the plane at all..

Hope this helps everyone! More later....

Thanks Kim! You just answered a couple of questions I had. Gee, I wouldn't have thought that re shoes either. So much for Dr Scholls Gel inserts huh?

Reading myself now John Hell's Kitchen

As Lisa would say . . OY!

Don't want to offend you guys who are really into it, but is this really entertaining?

I think I would rather have bamboo slivers inserted in my fingernails . . .

Perhaps it is an acquired taste?

John1

Of course the gel thing made me think of Dr Scholls which put me on a tangent wondering whether they still made those sandals. Remember the originals ? Those, Earth Shoes and Clogs were the things I wanted more than anything. Oh yeah and boys sneakers. I wanted a pair SO badly. It still kills me to see my daughter in those boat shoes. I hated those when I was a kid. Well at least she has a choice.

Thanks for the info Kim . . .

Now, did the shoeless Lady look like a terrorist? Or was she like Donny Osmond's Grandma from Utah that had orthopedic gel shoes? I know rules are rules, but some of this stuff has gotten to the absurd. Can you imagine walking through the airplane and the next airport without shoes? Did she have socks? Yuck!

I can just see it now - because of the idiot that tried to light his shoe . . . "step away from me, or I'll click the heels together of my gel shoes, say there's no place like home, and this baby blows!"

What have our lives become?

You are on a roll this evening! I was ready to sign off as the slow server is driving me batty but you keep making me look to see what you have to say.

John and Lisa the 7 day experts with 6 year olds daughters. When should I make my Palo reservations? I thought I had it all set and DH says he doesn't care about missing brunch just not Palo dinner. Since its our first 7 day cruise I don't want to miss activities related to those things and I don't want to miss the shows only available on the 7 day so I was looking at the matinees. I have this count down going for my reservation but now as it gets closer I'm starting to panic - what if I pick the wrong one. I know I can change when I get on board but I want it to be done, so I can go on to the next thing to be obsessed with regarding this trip.

Nope! I was more realistic than that...in a way. There is a baby hole & it opens up when the baby needs to come out then closes back up. It doesn't hurt. Remember.....I had the two great epiderals and was giggling when pushing DS out so I'm not telling a lie about my own experience. ;)

MY first suggestion is that you follow Lisa's original suggestion - pick the show that would most easily miss, and make your dinner reservation at Palo for that night.

Another thought Bella - don't remember if you are eating with us early or if you are late, but if it is the show you are worried about, make a LATE reservation at Palo for the night you pick, get the kids something to eat early, and go to the early show with the kids. Then, take them to the club after the show, and you and DH can go to Palo. If the kids are hungry when you pick up, there is always pinnochio's for some pizza, room service, or have some snacks available at your room. DD Sophia is a night owl anyway, and this technique has worked fine with her.

If it is not the show you are worried about missing, and you are early dining, go to dinner with the family, but DON'T eat. Just enjoy the dining room and friends - maybe have a drink. Then take the kids to the club and you go to Palo.

Just my thoughts.

John, this guy cracks Mike up. You know him so that should help answer that...not many shows have this effect on him. :lmao:

Going to the matinees would work great for you! Our kids know that they can go to the matinee AND the evening show already. :rotfl:

I first learned of Chef Ramsey, from his show, Kitchen Nightmare's, where he helps small restaurants in England get back on their feet. I watch for him, he will have a stroke some day, :sad2: .

Yup, that's exactly what happened with Amy after Sophia . . . I think it happened permanently and why she wants daddy to get the snip.

Really Lisa, I think you could feed me lines all night long . . . :lmao:

With that, I think it is time for bed.
