my DH knows he probably should just give in.... He has made me promise a few non- DIS board meet days though.... With all of us on the ship that'll be hard to do.....

Kristina....looks like we need to work you DH too.

We will be driving...10-11 hours. We pick up the kids at 11:30 so the day counts as present for them and stop near the GA border. We get to WDW around 1 pm the next day & aren't wiped out so enjoy a bit of the magic. The kids have their gameboys this year and DH picked up a great deal on a portable DVD player when he was in MD. This is the first trip we wont be lugging the tv/vcr combo with us!!!!

** The kids will be missing 8 school days for this trip. After the year we have had...I dare someone to say anything to me. I am going to look into getting them on independant study for the trip. If they wont allow it, the kids aren't doing a darn thing! Last time DS did all of his math class & home work before the trip and took his spelling test before and did a journal that he presented to the class. The principal still considered it unexcused. I do NOT like this school......need to stay calm so wont go any further. They have to miss 15 days total before it involves them being promoted.

** DH dropped the camera in the water at CC on the last day of our cruise last year. I am getting an extra water proof one this year. That was the replacement from our June trip when the camera was stollen on the trip to WDW. Just less than 6 months. We stick with Kodak though & upgrade each time. It's nice that they take the same cards & are pretty similar with how they work.

The only thing killing me about a new camera is switching media cards, ugh! i have a Gig in CF cards and all the new cameras, at least the ones I like, use SD cards. And we do not get the great sales you all do.

You know that we will put that on the shopping list if you need them.

PJ....I missed BB too. The kids were watching Blue's Baby Brother...well DS was until he was sent to bed. OY!

Caroline....we have the Kodak easyshare Z760. It is 6.1 mp and has a really nice digital video. It is very easy to operate & I have been very happy with the pictures it has taken. The shots that I posted from the shows are with the Kodak 5.0.

DS and I went to the fireworks show last night in Downtown Canton. Hey Lisa, the Marine band was here playing from Cherry Point NC!

Just made DD sign a contract regarding putting away her DVDs and CD's when she is finished with them. Hopefully that will work. I taped it up in front of her computer. Wish us luck.

LOVE THIS IDEA!!!! I will have to try it. What is the penalty if she doesn't?

lisa, sweet about the media cards. But as I now work in a Computer shop, I have access to wholesale prices, muhahahaha. If I go with the new camera, I will get at least a 512 mb card and use the ipod camera connector i just got.

I don't quite know how to word this and I am sorry because I am probably going to offend someone but I just have to get this out.

I just read Lisa's e-mail and after having the kind of weekend I had it was probably the last thing I needed to read because I have had a really rough day. I know no one dares question the powers that be here on the boards (I have been here long enough to see what happens to those who do... ) so I guess if I *poof* I warned myself.

I cannot believe someone got upset over something this silly. It is obviously just things being said in fun and anyone who did not get that is probably related to the person who thinks flip flops are appropriate formal attire (see I knew I would offend at least one person). Are we not allowed to make comments about our favorite baseball team being #1 and looking for silly ways to "prove" it for fear of hurting someone's feelings? If I post that I think the St. Louis Cardinals are the #1 team in baseball will a Cubs fan go crying to the mods? I mean really what is the point?

I always said that if I really felt like the DIS stopped being fun then I would just stop posting. I normally don't let things bother me but I am having a hard time being scolded for something like this. I come here (to this thread in particular) to have fun and be silly and to get useful vacation information. If I feel like I can't let my hair down and be silly without offending people then maybe this is not the place for me right now. I don't want to "post on eggshells" for worrying about offending someone.

I am not YAGE -ing because they annoy me (unless I get *poofed* then I guess I will be). I am sure I will be back (if allowed) but maybe I just need to take a break from posting and get some perspective.

I know how hard it can be to have a horrible day that just seems to get worse and worse and then that one thing just pushes you over the edge. I just wanted to say that I love you, I love your posts, we don't want you to leave or take a break. Maybe all the teasing from being redheaded knocked the sensitivity out of all of us... I also feel horrible for Lisa because I am sure she was "talked to" and if I were her, it would have made me just sick thinking about having to write an e-mail. I don't understand why anyone would be upset with anything we have posted, except we have been kind of mean to John.

That being said, I never want Lisa to get involved in issues that involve us so I'll just pm you if I need a special virgo moment.... Love you!

I still can't decide what we (I) am interested for the Cozumel port stop. I just hope we don't need to tender. On CC I'm trying to decide whether I want to do the cabana massage there again. What is it I need to do to not have the Spa people sell to me. Was there something I can write on the form? I don't even recall a form actually last time.

Just tell them you use Elemis products in the beginning. Tell them you buy them online at timetospa.com. Then you won't need anything cause thats all they sell...

That's the white lie approach. You could also just write it on the assessment form...

Hey Kim great coaching!! It won't even be a white lie - well a partial one since I don't buy them online. I DO use the products - that whopping overpriced product that I talked into buying last trip and I use so sparingly it has lasted 2 years.
