It's not always that bad with his schedule, but they've been shorthanded this summer with vacations, a new hire, and one guy out with shoulder surgery. He's planning to "veg" out a lot during the cruise, so don't think he's antisocial!

Actually, I totally understand DH has not had a full day off including holidays since Christmas last year. He wanted to ask our Dr. if he could put him in a chemical coma for a week so he could take time off... He is one of those people who will actually use the room and the verandah. So I don't think he is antisocial, just tired of being social...

I guess i need to go out on the other site....has Lisa posted your address?

If your address is out there, you want us to start sending SASE now?

Yes, my address is on the site. You can send a SASE as soon as you want your stuff...

The kids would get on each others nerves and one (usually my sensative one) would feel left out. My heart would break and I'd try to distract them.

Why is it some moms see that their child is not perfect but others think their children never do anything wrong?

I was going over board with my SIL's kids .... getting food, attendign to them, building forts. You name it. Finally , when my little nephew went into another tirade where nothing was okay b/c he is a spoiled little brat and that only made my son feel left out....well, I finally went off and the poor little kid probably got scared...but I just said everything I was feeling.

Okay - I'll be back... DH wants me to move a rug.... the things we do for love?!!!!!! :confused3

Kim - DH took the kids to P2. I took the kids to Monster House. The boys say P2 was much much scarier!!

I was surprised at how scary Moster House was. I figured there would be a nice little moster ghost inside....but noooo!!!!!!

I know! I felt SOOO bad! Worst parent award right here. My child is crying in my lap because she is so scared saying "I just want to go home". Great family fun time idea on my part. The other problem with that movie is that it just never let up. It was scary the WHOLE time. It needed more comic relief.

I have not seen pirates 2 either. Mostly because DD can't see it. I have heard from everyone that it is very scary for small children. Any thoughts on this? For those of you with 6 year old girls, would you take yours?

Kim

My 5 yearold DS saw ..loved it ...closed his eyes on some of the scarier parts , but nothing too bad ....

Todd, I can't get over how great you look in the pirate costume. Can I use your picture (assuming I can take it on the cruise) in DD's school assembly?

Kim

Ya know- gotta share one good thing about this weekend. DH bought one of those Bonsai Waterslides for the yard last year. It comes with its own little fan and inflates in seconds...you put a hose on it and voila - backyard waterslide. Well - now he got one that dumps the kids into the pool Let me tell ya - BEST THING EVER!!!! The kdis loved it. Between the diving board and that slide...our pool was so active this weekend. We had 10 kids and 5 adults having teh time of their lives.

Karen,

Is that the $250 one? We have debated that one a lot. Is it really worth $250?
