Tell me I'm not crazy for questioning this...please! Someone just posted that DCL carries fresh water on the ship to refill the pools with. Doesn't this go against the entire idea of floating in the water??? I KNOW that I have read somewhere that DCL filters the sea water for both the pools & the drinking water.

No Lisa - you are wrong. I just called the DCL line and a CM told me that not only do they carry fresh water for the pools, but if you look behind the Magic, there is a little tug boat that carries all the drinking water too! At least that was what the CM had on their card.

Well the CM I called said they use bottled water to fill the pools with. Didn't you ever wonder why DCL costs so much? An Evian pool is $$$$.

Lisa, be careful of those SPH rooms! We had one with a grate outside that would occassionally have worker men on it. I forgot to close the drapes a couple of times as we were at sea and who would think there would be a man outside your window. Well, I am sure those poor young men are scarred for life after viewing this grandma in her undies - no spanx at that time either!

I have a question about the navigators - how much do they change? I know there are some posted from the May DD - can we expect the same for our cruise? I was thinking that Lisa said there would be holiday related activities (gingerbread houses, for instance) - when/how would we find out about them? Will the Nov DD be doing them? The compulsive planner in me wants to start a spreadsheet (all you other spreadsheet makers are making me jealous LOL) with times of what I want to do - like the navigator looks, sort of.
And, how am I supposed to fit in all the tastings?? With them all being on sea days (and some at the same time)?? You mean I might have to choose?? I know that I can't go to 3 different tastings in the span of a few hours!!

Becka - I see you're from MO - I grew up in w/nw TN - my mom's still in the Dyersburg are (just across the river from Caruthersville).

Brandi - I was just in Harrisburg last weekend - we went to Hershey park and then took the jeeps to Paragon park on Sunday. We live straight down I81 in VA - Harrisonburg...which BTW Queen Lisa used to go to JMU here!

Does anyone else hear "IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTERALL" playing????

Thank you! DD just messed up a frame that I made for their individual & group picture while denting the chair rail when it hit. I needed a laugh.

They stick pretty much to the same schedule for each itinerary. I posted a navigator from our last December cruise. That has the special holiday stuff in it to give you an idea...like Mrs. Clause reading in the atrium on Thursday night after the show.

Dianna...anything can change. We don't get attached to the ports until after maybe November when most of the hurricanes have gone thru. It's a fact of life. On our second cruise CC was hit hard by one of the storms so it was browned out...but we still enjoyed ourselves. We were the second cruise back to GC....should NOT have gone there yet! Last year was better for the eastern but Cozumel was wiped out. You just never know who will be hit each year...DCL will make changes if they need to. That has really worked out for us on the DDs since we they ended up going to CM before the DDs. This has given CM time to work out the kinks...and we have been able to find out more info from DISers who went there.

Aw...I have monkey, too!! He still like Blues Clues and Dora - freaks me out when I hear him yelling from across the house - then I remember what he's doing.

I need for school to start! I find it so hard to keep him entertained (sans TV and computer - and besides what kind of example do I set whilst on the computer all day??? )
I mean, there's only so much time I can take the pool, even in the heat!!

Well, I was here for 10,000 last night, but still fell a few hundred posts behind. And I had to do some work this morning, so I'm just now catching up.

Someone was watching the Medical Mystery show on ABC last night... DH recognized the doc who was on for the woman with the mystery illness. He's at the same hospital.

Former PTO president here, too. I did it when DD13 was at the school (it's K-3). Now DD8 is there and they keep asking me if I'll do it again... ummm, no thanks. I'm a little worried about this year's president, but since no one else stepped up, I'm certainly not going to complain about her. When DS3 starts in the school, someone may ask me again!

Brandi, hope DS is feeling better. Another option for dealing with fevers is to get the tylenol and advil on an alternating schedule (they're different medications and can be overlapped--get your doc's approval of course). That way you're not on the downswing of any dose of painkiller. For example, if each medication can be taken every 6 hours, you could do this:
9:00 tylenol
12:00 advil
3:00 tylenol
6:00 advil
9:00 tylenol
