Hey Brandi,
Do you have to go back to teaching this school year? Just wondering.
Do you play piano? DD8 has been taking lessons for about 6 months and still loves to play/practice. She'll be trying to sneak onto any unattended piano on the cruise if she keeps up this attitude!

Marielle - I have a full year maternaty leave. It started in Jan 2006 and I will return in Jan 2007. It will be hard to go back in the middle of the year but it is worth it to be with DD and DS the extra months. I do play the piano. I received formal lessons from 1st grade until 12th grade. I did some piano in college but I was a flute major. I give private flute and piano lessons. At one point I was teaching full time, directing the church choir and giving 25 lessons a week!!!! I didn't have a life...all I did was work. I now do church choir and give 5 lessons a week. I kept the 5 that always practiced and really love music.

I hope your DD always loves to play. The practicing will go in waves. Sometimes she will need to be "forced" to practice for a few weeks or months then she will snap out of it and love it again. At least that is how it is with most kids (I was that way too.)

Can you imagine if they stuck some poor unsuspecting family of 4 in with us!

I have actually thought of that when working on the seating list.

OMG!!! Of course you can have fruit....if you can find some there. I don't remember any fruit...muffins, pastries & such....but no fruit.

Since they already have my lactose intolerance on file, I should tell them about the no sugar thing too, , Someone will have to sneak me a Mickey Bar, ok?

Tried to get them to take the LI off my file, they said no since my doctor filled out the medical form last cruise, cursed by my Disney record.

Oh, another thing about asking for the 6 pm seating...people don't go crazy trying to get the LAP rotation...so it shouldn't be a problem.

Our five cruises we have always had LAP dining. I like Lumieres three times.

I literally barely "survived" my best friends bridal shower today. One of the brides maids is a real...unkind person. My BF's Mom was so stressed out I thought she might have a nervous break down (she has nerve problems and I was getting concerned for her...they own and operate a large campground. She has a lot of pressure, the shower was at the campground and they just came off of a very busy week with a festival being held at there place.) Any way "unkind girl" was provoking my BF's mother. I wanted to wring her neck. My BF told me at the beginning that this girl would probably give us trouble. I felt so bad for my BF's mom having to deal with this chick. In the end everything was nice, she got lots of nice gifts, but OY (as Lisa would say) I am glad this day is over!!!!

How sad. She is probably already stressed out enough about the wedding, her job, the shower, and that seems just horrible. I am sending her pixie dust even though I don't know her...

LAP and 6pm definitely together? Or would DCL switch things around to throw you off?

Yes, but that isn't the "popular" rotation with formal night in Lumiere's.

Can you imagine the stories they would have when they went back home!!!!

I especially would worry about the "I don't like to talk at dinner people". Something tells me we are going to be one chatty group. They will really think we are strange when we start making our bananas dance, huh?

They have been that way since they started last fall. In December it was actually 6:15 for LAP...so we would just go for the latest early seating.
