Oh my goodness...we were just evacuated due to a gas leak - well they smelled gas. I guess they determined everything was ok as the firemen waved us back in.

Oh how I wish I was sailing right now!

Am I naive to assume that this group is really going formal to formal night? - I am reading some of the old posts concerning tuxes.

I did buy one for my son on Ebay. It was completely washable but did not look bad at all - in fact we got great pictures at their prom for nursery school. I paid $25. for it.

I was more interested in bringing dress up pirate stuff - I thought those pics could be fun!!

Any thoughts?

We usually have the guys in suits & ties both nights but so many have talked about getting a tux this cruise that I have started looking on Ebay for DH & DS. thetuxxman has some great buys in his store. Don't feel like you have to though. I have to laugh though because you apparently haven't gotten to our craziness a few weeks ago about meeting in the lounge at 4 pm Monday afternoon to have our holey jeans bedazzled on the rear for formal night that evening.

Lisa - I saw it ....what did ya think? I don't like Janelle at all. She just seems unbelievably fake and just mean. With who is left to vote out, I guess I want Kaysar to go.

That POV competition was a hoot! I missed the beginning and turned it on to see them lying in their graves....OMG!!

I liked her well enough last year...cheered on that alliance. She seemed smarter last year though. I guess when you pull the most interesting people from each season....you have to step up your game. I don't really care who wins this one. Seeing them all turning on each other so much...especially Will & Boogie...is hysterical!

Nope...I just couldn't go to sleep...and didn't have much success during the night. DD kept running into our room. I seemed to be awake most of the night.

Elaine, DH has a dark suit that he may bring if we have room in the luggage. Otherwise we will rent a tux for him. DGS (7yo) will also wear a suit or a tux. Pirate night we will dress also. AND I am excited that your DMIL is joining us as that makes me NOT the oldest lady in the group. I am a spry 56. Our DGS went with us in 2003 on a 4 night cruise and ate dinner at 8 pm and it was fine.

Welcome Elaine! We always enjoy new friends and I hope we don't scare you away. If you are concerned about the late dining you can ask to be put on the wait list for early seating. Also, Lisa correct me if I am wrong, but those of us on WLE (wait list early) who are linking dining to the group are going to be guaranteed to get early after we pay in full when Lisa arranges everything with the DCL dining coordinator. If you don't mind eating with crazy people then you might give it a try!

Brandi - Would you believe that DS decided to start potty training just a week or so after DD came home from the hospital? I guess when he saw the Pampers (just like his but smaller) being used for such a little baby he figured he was far too grown up for them after all.

Since everyone seems to think that the DVD players would be good I would like for you to know that you can now contribute to the "Get Nathan and Allie a DVD Player So Becka Does Not Throw Herself Off the Side of the Ship" Fund. The GNAAADPSBDNTHOTSOTS Fund for short!!!

UGH! I have decided that we are just doing a drive by for the library. The kids are over reading so much so why have to go back downtown in a couple weeks? We have lots of books for them to read here anyway. Target will be next. Zathura is $10 this week...cheaper than us all going to the movies to see it! See y'all later!

I have been looking at portable DVD players for a while. I would like to get a 2 screen set but one that also can be taken into the hotel room etc. Of course I would like good quality and little cost!

Lisa-do you kids enjoy reading? I love to read and hopefully the girls will too. Samantha will lie in bed at night and read, read, read. Haley loves to plop herself in my lap and have me read to her. I remember going to the library as a child - I loved being able to pick my own books out.

I am pretty set on the tux here as well. Maybe I should check into buying one though since we plan on cruising as long as possible!!

I need to find the girls a nice Christmas dress as well, it's nice to be able to get the family photo done right on the ship!

We have the DVD built into our minivan. The kids have headsets and can either watch videos or listen to their CDs on it and DrHug and I can listen to our music on the radio/CD in the front. We also have the option of listening to what they are watching/listening to. Some of the movies we listen to while they watch. We have seen them enough that we can picture the scenes in our heads.

I had my darvocet about two hours ago and just took the relaxer and steroid. In just a few more minutes I'll be able to start dreaming about Lucy and the walrus .... cooo coo ca chew.....
