I am ver new to this cruise business so I know I have a lot of catching up to do. We are late seating but I requested 8pm and since we have 5 yr olds I guess we will then be APL? I don't think they will eat with us too much since that is really too late for them.

There are 5 in our party including 85 yr. old (spry) MIL. I haven't gotten started pulling all our info and pics together to send to the group but I look forward to seeing what is planned and meeting everyone. I know my twins will appreciate knowing some friendly faces in advance - they are a little nervous about it since Kindergarten will be new for them too this fall.

Am I naive to assume that this group is really going formal to formal night? - I am reading some of the old posts concerning tuxes.

I did buy one for my son on Ebay. It was completely washable but did not look bad at all - in fact we got great pictures at their prom for nursery school. I paid $25. for it.

I was more interested in bringing dress up pirate stuff - I thought those pics could be fun!!

Any thoughts?

Yup! She just came in a few minutes ago and is laughing hysterically. Glad she had a good sense of humor.

Life's got to be about having fun...that's probably why I like hanging out with you guys - you're just about good fun!!

This is the kind of DVD player we were looking at getting where there are two screens attached to the headrests.

OK, all these pottytraining tales of boys are giving me hope for DS. He's still being stubborn. I had no problem with DDs (2 and 3 months, 2 and 6 months). DS will be 3 at the end of the month.

My DS had zero interest! Then when Eliza (the baby) came home from the hospital he decided he was ready. Two days after coming home with her he started to use the potty. They have to decide on their own time!

We just booked our family on the Dec. 9th Costa Maya cruise. We are first time cruisers - well, except MIL.

We are all celebrating birthdays with 5's in them this year. MIL - 85, twins turned 5 and us - some ugh number with a 5 in it.

We will have the late seating. Cat. 7 - Deck 5. Haven't decided much else yet but we will be working on shore excursions. Any advice? The kids like to snorkel.

I'm truly scared now about the horrible tablemates thread - LOL.

Any other new cruisers on this cruise?

Today: work, post office, library, DD piano lesson, meeting... fold all the laundry. Sounds exciting, huh.

Welcome Elaine! We're first-time cruisers, too. I just read everything on the DIS and in print so I feel like I know something! The guys in our group are not up for tuxes (and they even own them already!!), so they'll be a notch down. We're all up for pirate clothing, though!

Angie - we love SkipBo as well and will be bringing ours too along with Uno! (and Go Fish and Old Maid)

My "twins" have yet to have their picture taken but I'm almost paranoid about that sort of thing. I never know what's normal and what's not normal as my Dr told me at this age you're supposed to be very lumpy. I know I shouldn't but I try not to think about it.

Today will be full of work fun! Tomorrow is Samantha's first day of ballet and then her school has open house and then John has a ball game. Loads of running around.

Oh my goodness...we were just evacuated due to a gas leak - well they smelled gas. I guess they determined everything was ok as the firemen waved us back in.

Oh how I wish I was sailing right now!
