Help figuring out resort stay and LLMP

You would need to reserve 12/26 and 12/27 as nights regardless of resort. They could also be individual nights. There can be no break in nights when booking continuous LLs. If you reserved 12/26 and 12/27 the dates would now perfectly mirror your trip and you could start booking their LLs at the same time as yours for their entire length of stay from 12/26 - 1/1. As @Sandisw mentioned if they have date-based tickets starting on 12/28 you could only book the LLs for 12/28 and later, but this would start the same time as your booking window on 12/19 since they will be a continuous onsite guest starting 12/26 if you reserve those two extra nights.

What if I just do 12/27 instead and then I can book 12/20 for all of us correct? Just want to make sure before I use points. Technically they could use the room 12/27 and drive up the night before instead of day of 12/28. We actually aren't doing any parks 12/26 anyway.

Yes, you could book their LLs a day earlier on 12/20 if you reserve them another onsite room for 12/27 - 12/28 since it will be continuous with the 12/28 - 1/1 stay.

You could also book your LLs on 12/19 and try to match their LLs up on 12/20 with similar times as a smaller group similar to the example @Sandisw gave of booking a party of five as groups of three and two for better times.

No problem! The LL page should also show the date your guest is eligible to book. Once everything is linked you should see 12/20 for the guests in that second room.
