We get apples for our pineapple plants! Leave the cores to rot a little and then put them in the pineapple plants! Helps them fruit quicker!

Ok - both girls down and now DH and I are going to watch The Family Stone.....see how much you can dish in 2 hours!

Do you actually grow pineapple plants? How easy is that? We actually had a discussion at the office a few weeks ago whether you can grow your own pineapple plant. Do tell!!

Busy, busy day! Took DD 7 to piano, picked up DD 12 while dropping of cousin, then shot to the mall. I dislike the mall. We go no more than 5 times a year I would say. We got to Kohl's then the main mall where we ate at Friendly's, shopped at Sears and browsed the Disney Store. Not time for anything else unless we didn't want to get home til really late! DD 3 is sleeping (fell asleep in the car). Now she will be up all night.

We did do some power shopping, but not for school clothes per se.

FYI

If anyone was still interested in getting DW tickets, the price doesn't go up at the DS until Wednesday so you can still get them tomarrow. I contemplated it, but the girls would so much rather go on the cruise!

I did stop at the Camera Stop at the mall too. The Canon EOS Rebel was $799 with a free printer instantly. Good? The older Rebel was $649 there. I know that is high.

DH usually doesn't pay much attention to what I do at the computer. Well, last night he came in and noticed I was chatting. I just said it was about Disney and he said that I have become a bit crazy with Disney. To which I replied, "Have you never noticed that every ornament on the Christmas tree is Disney?" :rotfl: There was no way I was going to let him in on how many people I have been chatting with about the cruise. He knows that I have one planned, but he is still in the mind set that we don't have to decide until December! I told him that it would be about a $2000 mistake if we delayed! :rotfl:

Why does it always seem like you got more while you are at the store?? :confused3
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Of course Dd 7 is the easiest and got the most AND doesn't need them as much. :rotfl:

I did get two pairs of shoes for myself. Poor Sarah couldn't find a pair of sandals. Her newest pair got stepped on while she was wearing them, thus they broke. Her older ones are looking even older.

My thought is to open a store and call it SEASONS. In the summer, you could buy summer things, in the winter? Winter things. Etc. Imagine!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I did get the girls the High School Musical CD that includes a Karaokee(sp??) CD also. The first song didn't work when we got in the car, but then it did when it came back around to it.

I guess that concludes my day and shopping spree.

But I did forget that I was supposed to watch my nephew tonight. Ooops! And I got a package from Disney Direct which I can't open right now as there is at least one Christmas present in it and the girls are super snoopy!!

I am in so much trouble! Dina is still sleeping!! She will be up all night! Hope I get some company on here later. :grouphug:

I've been hanging out with my cuz from Hawaii, this weekend, we have had a really nice time. Now We plan on going over there in about two years. She said they pay $8. for a gall of milk and $2. for a candy bar,she pays $500 a month for her 6 yr olds school plus uniforms. so crazy. She lives about two blocks off the beach. Gotta go back to my sisters for dinner after a long day of shopping in Canada. $3. jeans at walmart. :cool1:

Finally - am so far behind!! But did read Lisa's cake recipe - looks so yummy - will try it this week-end for a cook out but no way can I wait 4 hours tonight - vicariously enjoying it.

I have had great fun reading all the posts that I get to - am happy to be part of this fun group even if I don't get caught up enough to chime in very often. :thumbsup2:sunny:pirate:

Just read about the closet cleaning and toy purging - such fun -:lmao::teeth::rotfl::rotfl: that's what I did this past week-end. Several bags of clothes that I finally figured I can do without -

but DD's stuffed animals will be the bane of me yet. Mind you - she has graduated from college - and they still line the shelves - each one has a name and a personality - but she abandoned them when she left for Boston. I have tried John and Amy's trick of down to the cellar with the more mundane toys - only now we can't get in the playroom there. And the last garage sale I had was many many many years ago.

Maybe I should not go cruisin but stay home and clean over Christmas - Naww - the critters can sit there, each in its own place, a few more years. :grouphug:

Hmm novel thought..... Summer comes here about ohhhh Mid-March... Winter comes in September/October. By January 1, you better have bought plenty of mittens/gloves because there's none left in stores.

I've been trying to find shoes for DD... She's a women's size 11 so many stores and styles just have nothing.

Do I get kicked off the DIS board for postings not related to a cruise?

Well - has anyone ever cleaned a closet on the Magic? Does the stateroom host haul the bags of toys away for you?

Is a chocolate chip crock pot cake as good as room service cookies?

Probably, but Palo Chocolate souffle is always better.....

and we all know that room service cookies taste even better with room service chocolate milk... :rolleyes1

Shoes - note to self - buy sandals! DD wears a size 10, and a few years ago arrived in MCO for our Christmas cruise - without suitcase - left straight from finals in snowy Boston (yes her passport was in her backpack). But no summer clothes.

There is a great sandal/shoe shop in Cocoa beach, on the causeway. Plenty in her size, best shoe shopping trip ever. Then on to the mall on Merritt Island - they had a great sale of summer type clothes and got her just what was needed. I had brought her formal from home, so that was covered. One efficient shopping trip. And amazing how easy to shop for a cruise in the hour before boarding.
