Am I confused, or am I confused? Over on the Disneyland thread they are reporting (with photos!) that the Black Pearl is docked in San Pedro. How can that be if it is at CC?? Please, Please don't spoil my magic and tell me it is not real and that there are more than one of them!

John and I cleaned DD room and the loft area (her toy space) yesterday. Lots of trash bags! She called in the middle of our chore and John told her what we were doing. She said "Your not throwing anything away are you"? John said, "Sophia, I wouldn't throw anything away". He is right, he doesn't, he carries it all down to the basement in the hope that someday he will have a garage sale. I think we still have Alex's toys down there too, we moved THEM when we built this house!! I, on the other hand know that we will never have a garage sale so I throw things away or give to Goodwill.
I keep saying I am going to get a big dumpster and clean the basement out!!

Thank goodness for Granny's! All of DD's old toys go to the toy room at Grandma's house where they live out the rest of their lives. Eventually DD figures out she is really too old for them and donates them to the local thrift shop.

DS went over to the trash bags that were sitting on his bed and I said - "Don't even think about looking in those bags!!!" He stepped back, looked at me, and decided I was serious so he wandered off.

Now that they are off to football practice, I get to stash them in our neighbors dumpster .... might as well make their renovation eye sore useful. The kids will never find those toys now!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. ...says the mother in a sinister laugh.

Another thing I do with DD. I tell her to choose 1 of three toys to donate. She can choose or I will do it for her.

They have to be matching toys. So 2 to 1 Barbies, or 2 to 1 10" stuffies. McDonalds give away's don't count.

If she worries that the toys won't be happy anymore I tell her that we need to let them go so another child can enjoy them.

Okay - since there is no one to play with...I'm gonna go play with MY NEW BUTTON MACHINE It came today. DH brought it in and said, "SHould I ask what's in here?" I responded, "Nope!" He responded, "Whatever makes ya happy." Hmmm.....can you imagine what he's gonna think when the sea of green buttons are lying on our floor??!!

Well, the cake is done. I am letting it cool down a bit before we dig in. So....make an adjustment to the cooking time. Count on 4 1/2 hours on high in a crock pot.

The house is quiet!!!!!! I just walked in the door with DS from a quick run to Staples...which had everything cheap or free that was on my list surprisingly...and DD said that she is going on a bike ride. DH is taking them both out!!! When they get home I will need to deal with baths but for at least 20 minutes....I have peace & quiet.

DH has been looking at getting a Tux, just one less thing to pack and worry about.

I have to go to the grocery store today, should I buy apples to make something for DH??? I buy apples all the time, but I buy them for the dog, she loves them!! Just core it and she eats the whole thing, so much easier than baking!

I do the opposite - core the apples for us and give the cores to the dog - he loves them - and strawberry caps! go figure...he's weird!!
