and we all know that room service cookies taste even better with room service chocolate milk... :rolleyes1

Topped off with a Mickey Bar, of course.

You guys are too funny! I have been sitting here waiting for the stupid cable to click back on. ACK! I hate it when that happens! I even connected the modem directly to the one in the wall & that didn't work either. YUCK! :( I have been working on pictures tonight fixing lots of red eye. I found our Christmas pictures on one of the many CDs! I didn't even know they were gone until I saw that they weren't in my 12/05 folder. :(

Finally - am so far behind!! But did read Lisa's cake recipe - looks so yummy - will try it this week-end for a cook out but no way can I wait 4 hours tonight - vicariously enjoying it.

I have had great fun reading all the posts that I get to - am happy to be part of this fun group even if I don't get caught up enough to chime in very often. :thumbsup2:sunny:pirate:
Shhh... :ssst: I've stopped trying to keep up. I just don't have the hours in the day. :surfweb: Now I look at it like a running conversation that you jump in and out of.

I do go back and read pages I've missed when I have time. And, I'm going to look for that cake recipe. Not that I have any business eating cake.

BTW, the cake was pretty good. :) The kids didn't like it...probably the moistness with the sour cream & pudding but I enjoyed it & DH finished his dish. Great with vanilla ice cream! Next time I will put in less water to see if it makes a difference. I am wondering if you can switch the cake flavor too.

Patsy, I know that it is after page 801 because that is where we stopped last night. (I have to write it down to make sure that I know where to go if I miss alot.) ;)

Thanks, If all else fails I'll do a search for cake or cooker.

Lisa - I have had cable modem problems on and off since we got it. Had the cable company out more times than I can count and each said a different thing. They did run a line that is all it's own from the splitter, but I haven't moved the computer to that one yet. I can't complain to them any more because of that though. I did get 6 months at a discounted rate a year ago! :thumbsup2 I finally learned it has something to do with interference that could be coming from basically anywhere!

Oh come on Patsy! Go read it all!! :thumbsup2 It is like a good book that you just can't put down. :rotfl: :teeth:

Do you actually grow pineapple plants? How easy is that? We actually had a discussion at the office a few weeks ago whether you can grow your own pineapple plant. Do tell!!
Yes we do!!! We have over 500 plants currently and many have fruited more than once....I was previously told they would only fruit once.....with Dh managing a grocery store he used to always bring home the "tops" which you simply twist in some dirt (not plant) and viola! We didn't get fruit for two years but now that most all have fruited and with the apple cores we get yearly fruit...along with some stealers!!
DH is the green thumb - I stick with my orchids....our yard consists of mostly frangipanai (plumeria - what they make lei's out of in Hawaii) Right now they are stunning! Lots of pineapples - including some Jamaician and Hawaiian ones....and various fruit trees....DH loves trying anything to get growing!

Get this - remember I said we were sitting down to watch the Family Stone...well BAAAAMM - a cannon shot - and zap - the power went out. FPL finally came out and a squirrel got himself (or herself) fried....luckily it was fixed before 9pm! I thought the movie was cute....

Maybe I will go through DD's t-shirts tomarrow to see what I can save.... ;)

Crud! We have some TS coming through and the cable and electric just blinked. :guilty: DD 7 already had me light some candles. It doesn't sound so bad though...

V, how big is your yard? 200 plants?!?!?! WOW! DD would love being at your house...pineapple is one of her favorite foods. :)

Caroline, It is the splitter. The readings are low when it is hooked to that cable but when I put it directly to the wall it is very fast usually. We have no good store to get one at around here and I want to talk to someone before choosing one. I will probably have DH stop on the way home from MD in a few weeks. There should be a Best Buy on the way. :)

We had Ts's around 7pm tonight. Just as my DD's outdoor baton practice was starting... UGGGG...

They are inside during the school year in a gym but our school district won't let outside groups use schools during the summer.

They really do need the practice though because their 2nd comp in this Sat.

They made first place for poms this week in their age group and 2nd for baton.

We sat inside our cars while the storm passed. It wasn't real bad and over in just over 15 minutes

Lisa, i know there's one at that White Marsh exit just north of 495. (that goes around Baltimore.) They have every store imaginable in that area.
