Um, there is another one of those lovely can I wear flip flops and shorts on formal night threads, Ms. Lisa has already been on, but every time I see those I think "uh oh, you are going to get in trouble".... I feel bad for the poor soul who starts it having no idea.....

We went to a Toga party as Mickey and Minnie. I will have to ask DrHug to dig that photo out and post it. I did a Cruella Toga for my DStepSis and she won the prize for the best Toga.

I don't feel sorry for them. If someone thinks that shorts and flip flops would be acceptable on formal night then IMHO they are either or just beyond clueless. I don't plan on doing the tux/gown thing so I can certainly understand asking if a suit/shirt & tie or nice dress are acceptable but to even think that shorts and flip flops would be ....

Brandi - I way a Days of Our Lives fanatic in the 80s. I turn it on once in a blue moon and most of the peope have come back!! There is even one who came back as a whole different person!!

Roman Brady - boy he gets around - only the long time people know that though. I do the same thing and saw that one and thought - how strange

I just received word about new CC gifts!!!!

Now in each room you'll get a new CC totebag, inside it's packed with goodies! Two mesh bags, one red, one blue, also two CC Cups with Straws, Two things of Sunblock, two Jelly Bracelets (one red/one blue with the CC logo on them), a large CC magnent, and a few other gifts! So cool! Also CC members will still get the lanyards/pins at checkin.

I had DU try to find me a deluxe for two nights pre cruise and all they came up with was AKL.....

It's been a loooooong week. I got excited today thinking TGIF when I realized it's only thursday. My work day started with a call at 6A which lasted 2 hours. It's been two weeks of dealing with janus faced people.

I had DU try to find me a deluxe for two nights pre cruise and all they came up with was AKL.....

AKL is great!!!! We were there only 2 night in February in a standard and loved it. We can't wait to go back and we will spring for the Savannah view next time. If you have not been I highly recommend it and make sure you eat at Boma....fabulous food!

Oh and at DD's school someone was celebrating a bday in her class - the mom had a PIRATE come in, paint faces, make balloon swords and hand out goodie bags!! The mom also provided the cake...what a way to get off the hook! Bad for the teachers but good for the parents! All she has been talking about all night is the PIRATE!

Oh we love AKL - most recently stayed there in May...but were hoping for one close to MK for the party night! Last year before the cruise we stayed at Poly...and you know when we went to BWI DH had the nerve to tell me he didn't like the Poly all that much??!!

I'm really hoping for AP or FL rates, but need to book something ahead of time...I usually wait but think I am going to take the plunge! I haven't even done Oct yet....waiting on a code....

ONBOARD GIFT QUESTION - Will any of you fine folks be getting a basket from Shirley? I personally have considered it but I am being a bit cheap. I am considering just making my own and putting it in the room. I know it would be a PITB (pain in the butt) to lug. Are any of you doing anything like that?
