Vanessa - Can I ask why your name is lillygator?

We call DD Allie-gator as a nickname. Although a lot of the time it just gets shortened to Gator. I keep thinking others must think we are crazy for calling a sweet little girl "Gator". She got a bunch of nicknames at school including Allie-Kat and Allie-saurus but my Dad is the one who start the Allie-gator thing. He even found her a pink shirt with an alligator on it.

My DH wants to stay at AKL. We usually stay at value...I guess I am being cheap again....sheesh...I really am sounding cheap tonight!

Oh we love AKL - most recently stayed there in May...but were hoping for one close to MK for the party night! Last year before the cruise we stayed at Poly...and you know when we went to BWI DH had the nerve to tell me he didn't like the Poly all that much??!!

I'm really hoping for AP or FL rates, but need to book something ahead of time...I usually wait but think I am going to take the plunge! I haven't even done Oct yet....waiting on a code....

ONBOARD GIFT QUESTION - Will any of you fine folks be getting a basket from Shirley? I personally have considered it but I am being a bit cheap. I am considering just making my own and putting it in the room. I know it would be a PITB (pain in the butt) to lug. Are any of you doing anything like that?

I will be...last year I had three baskets made, one for each DD and one for DH...I told Shirley I didn't want to spend over XXX including delivery and they were big sand pails with snacks, juice boxes, stickers, etc for the girls and Dh's had a 6 pack, binoculars, nuts, pretzels, etc...the six pack was cans - I didn;t think of that but DH hates cans! But they were great!! I mainly get the girls one for the bucket to take ont he beach.

I am still considering getting one for my kids but I don't know what to have her put in it. I think they would enjoy it but like you I am not sure if I want to spend the $$$. They will never miss it if it is not there and since DS has the memory of an elephant I think he would expect one everytime.

The kids get little gifts from Tinkerbell each night. The host helps make that happen. It worked well last time for there to be a little something every night.

My two dogs.....Lilly and Gator...although Lilly passed away last year She was very old especially for a larger dog.


My sister named Lilly (actually Lillian Ann Tiffany - you could tell at a young age what high maintenance my DSis is!!) and Gator - I named (as we are HUGE GATOR fans) but I had Lilly up in Gainesville with me when I went to college for protection...I went to UF right after the murders happened.

I pretty much use lillygator for everything!

As you can see from my sig we don't really go deluxe and when we do we go cheap. We got the Swan for $75/night and we only got the standard at AKL. I think AKL was worth it even the standard and it is hard to win over us especially DH and he is dying to go back. That is one reason we just did 2 nights to see if we thought it was worth the money and I know we will be going back.

We have stayed value many times but I think we will try to stick to mods from here on out if we can all afford it. We had too many issues on our last trip and I really think the service at the values is slipping. To us (especially with the kids) the extra money for the mods is well worth the money.

My DH will turn 31 on the cruise. I am wrapping a hawaiian shirt for him. That way I don't feel like I am shlepping (who knows how you spell such a word. I spell it differently every time.) something useless. I guess I will save the $$$ on a big basket and just get the kids little tink gifts for everynight.

I love values for the price!! I have only paid rack rate once on a value this year and it killed me but most all of our stays we've had some great AP or FL rates!

Kim, my packet came from the travel agent. I know this because the letter to the agent was included in the envelope I got. The letter was dated JULY 12. It was also addressed to the wrong agent (he has left) at that agency. I bet it was sitting in his old mail for more than a month.

I know you are pestering your TA to death but that packet is probably there somewhere possible routed to the wrong person.
