Sitting here posting in the middle of the night with JoJo 'cause my days are so BUSY! This past week was crammed with meetings AND the auditors for their annual visit. This coming week, even though it is just three days long, is also full of things to do at work but ..........

......... at 6AM Thursday we're off to WDW :woohoo: I am so looking forward to getting back to Disney. :earsboy:

Not much more waiting (if any) for all of you December travelers!

Hey Brack!
Guess where Trey and I are going Tuesday (tomorrow) night?!! We just got tickets to see the Heels vs. Penn!! Look for us in the upper deck tomorrow night on ESPN2! :woohoo:

I looked Marielle, but I did not see you guys. Snoozer of a game though. Heels win by 35.

I didn't really expect you to see the upper level seats on TV... but it was a fun time for us! It was a Carolina crowd (except for the obvious Penn student section behind one basket). And it was great to have a chance to see a game in one of college basketball's legendary old arenas, the Palestra. It seats less than 9,000, so even at the top of the upper level you have a good view (kinda like Carmichael, Brack).

ok ok call me a sap...

I was sitting last night watching POTC 3 just thinking how this time last year i was watching POTC 2 and ironing bandanas..... :sad1:

so i have to post both an old pic.....and a new pic....

It looked almost like a big High School gym. They did show people in the upper deck, but probably impossible to see you.

I can always count on someone . . .

Anyone hear from Caroline any more?

This was taken last Saturday at a luncheon iwe were at....

You look great Kristina, and really happy - Andy looks good too! Tell him I said hello. How is Devon doing?

I talk to Caroline every few months or so. They are doing good but she hasn't had the urge to come back to Dis as much as she used to.

Andy says hi too.... Lucky you guys to escape the snow for a couple days...
Enjoy the warmth down in FL.

Devon is....well we're still letting her live....

She's still a handful and now we have all the HS drama....

This summer we found out she had a small fracture in her ankle so she gave up the horse riding and nixed the flags in marching band. (ah that's ok... I never liked the band instructor anyway) She was cleared for gym w/ light impact but feels compelled to run a bit for some of the activities. It hasn't hurt too much but i'm hoping for the best.

HELLO TO ALL from the Beach Club!!! Somehow I managed to get online without submitting info??? Anyhow I had to say hey to everyone while I could. :)

We got down here on Sunday afternoon and hit DTD, had dinner at Rainforest Cafe (1st time :)) and loved it!!! The kids couldn't get over the elephants moving around. LOL! We then took the bus over to MK to watch Wishes from outside the turn stiles...tradition on our first night in the World. :) Monday was MK and we enjoyed the park from the time it opened at 9 am until it almost closed down just before 1 am. What a day!!! William decided to try the 3D glasses for Philharmagic and couldn't get enough of it. He told me that he should have listened to me about that before. ;) The castle looks beautiful in pictures BUT gives me goosebumps in person. It is just breathtaking!!! William has been cracking up the princesses so far. He made Belle laugh after playing the part of Papa in the storytime. He told her that he couldn't believe that he had a favorite princess but she is it. She said that he has very good taste in girls and he told her "No, they have very good taste in me." :lmao: Tonight Cinderella told him that he was very brave to have a picture taken with a princess and she would like to give him a kiss to thank him. He wiggled in his chair and just before she could kiss him on his check he slipped down in his chair. :rotfl2: Oh yes! One of the special things that has happened this trip is that this non-planner mode that I have been in has worked out. I called dining Monday at 7:30 before we headed out to MK and told the girl I talked to to please not laugh but what was the best way to find a resie available for Wednesday night. She said to tell her where I would like to go....Chef Mickey's -- 9 pm resie, not going to work for us...O'Hana -- nada...ok...how about Park Faire for dinner? Would 4 at 7 pm be good for you? HOT DOG!!!! The dinner was nice of course and the addition of Lady Tremaine and the step sisters was nice since they can interact more than Suzy and Pearla. Anastasia got William to ... well...try to dance with her. She was hysterical! She explained her philosophy regarding gummy bears and chocolate to us and had the kids in stitches. Be sure to ask her about it next time. ;) :rotfl:

Yesterday we went to DQ for the first time. The kids...all four of us...had a blast!!! We spent a lot longer there than I thought we would.

Today after checking in this morning the kids enjoyed the pool area. GREAT POOL!!!! We went around on the monorail before that and had lunch at the Polynesian...Great BBQ sandwich and chips there!

So after watching the fireworks on the bridge over the bay we have had a wonderful time here so far and can't wait to see everyone tomorrow.

Carla....your message tonight cracked me up. Mike looked at me like I was nuts...but you are so right about the kids and bedtime. LOL!

So to everyone coming in tomorrow...safe travels and see you real soon!!!! :wizard:

So excited for everyone headed to the World (or already there!) What a way to mark the one-year anniversary of our fun cruise.

Meanwhile, it's 20 degrees here... Elizabeth's school is closed, but not a weather issue: they have no power today and ran on generators part of the day yesterday.

Kristina, I still have my bandanas that you worked so hard to iron a year ago!

We are having a great time at WDW!!! We do have a need for some prayers though. I know I can count on this group to get that going. You may have seen the flooding in the Northwest. My niece, who is here with us, got a call from her friend that is watching her house and when the **** broke it put her house under at least 4 foot of water. She lost everything to the floods in 1996 and now has to do it again. :sad2: She does have flood insurance, so finacially she will get help, but the trauma of seeing all your things covered with mud, yet again, is devasting :sad2: . She shed some tears on Monday, filed her claim yesterday, and then decided to just put it aside and deal with it when she gets home a week from Sunday. We would really appreciate prayers for her for strenght to deal with this again.

Prayers said, Angie. Everytime I saw those floods on the news I thought of you and your family and friends and wondered if anyone was in trouble.

Have fun, Disney travelers! Carla and John should set up a live podcast at your dinner on Friday so that the rest of us can listen (OK, so "the rest of us" means me, right? Anyone else home? Kim? Becka?)

Yes, still here.. in the cold... no mouse :sad2: Savannah has the Christmas Show tommorow, so we are in full skating mode.

Hi Everyone

Hope everyone is doing great. Can not believe it has been almost a year since our last cruise. I am still hoping to do the repo cruise in Aug. Autumn is hanging in there but will have surgery again after the holidays. She had a total of 7 surgeries this year and 4 strokes. She is walking and talking again and her strength keeps getting better every day. She has such a strong inner drive. Happy holidays to all of you and may they be the best ever.

Hugs
Jill

Jill,

It is so good to hear from you!!!! I am so glad Autumn is feeling a little better, it sounds like you have had another tough year.:grouphug:

The kids were putting the ornaments on the tree last night and I opened up the Kelly dolls I picked up for Kaitlyn after Christmas last year thinking that they were ornaments. Well...she picked up one with long blonde hair and a blue dress and said -- This is me! She picked up the one with the long black hair and said -- This is Sophia! She picked up the red head and said -- This is Savahna. There was another blonde doll and she looked at it for a few minutes and said -- This is Bella and I will just pretend that she has dark hair. :) She played with them for the next hour and told me that they were going on a cruise together.

Well, that is just precious!!!

Well guys, the DIS is slow tonight!

I just want to say . . .

GO BUCKEYES!

On to the National Title game - AGAIN! Both #1 and #2 lost to put us in!

I wrote a letter to the editor of our paper about how upset people got about a dress code issue, but how they don't care much about our school funding issues. Our local paper allows readers to post online comments. You can see what I am mostly up against - scroll beyond the bottom of the article for the comments.

Getting ready to leave for WDW on Thursday!

John,

That was really hard for me to read. In fact it was painful. You are a good person for continuing to try and improve things given the sentiments expressed here.
