The people are also weird today as well.

We have a goodie day here at work today and I am on the schedule to bring so I decided to get a bagel pack from Panera bread to bring in. I leave home early to make sure I have time. When I get there this kid wants to take my order and I tell him I want a bagel pack (13 bagels with 2 tubs of cream cheese). He looks at me kind of stange and says "This is all the bagels we have". They are running quite low and only have 4 kinds to pick from but they still probably had 6 dozen or so total. OK I know you are running low but I still want my bagels. I tell him that I don't want to change my order (like I have an option now since I have to bring something and don't have time to go somewhere else) and he repeats himself again. I think he was trying to talk me out of my order. I guess they wanted to save the bagels to be sold individually or something. I guess I can sympathize but is it really my responsibility to change my order because they for some reason were not prepared today? They had enough bagels to fill my order so what was the problem. Then he was really slow getting it put together and just seemed annoyed with me the rest of the time. What exactly was I suppose to do?

Also a funny DS story to share....

DS borrowed the movie We're Back (animated dinosaur movie) from a friend of mine. I was bringing it to work this morning to give it back to her so I had it in my hand when I went out the door. DS spotted it and was telling me it was a good movie but that he knew it wasn't real. He told me that all movies are fake except for Power Rangers and Disney movies - they are real. I then asked him why he thought Disney movies were real. He got that Momyouarestupid look on his face and said:

I've been to Disney World. I know it is real.



I love that kid!

Did I tell you DGS said his band will be doing another DL trip in the spring? But, we will be taking a bus, not flying. Ok, we can do this! We love the band kids, but a bus for 20 some hours!

Scary news:
A teen was apparently plotting a Columbine-style attack at our local high school. Luckily, another kid found out about it, and went to the police with his dad. Police found lots of weapons, hand-grenades, etc in the kid's room. The kid had left the district in 7th grade to be homeschooled. The suspect's name hasn't been released, but according to all the kids, the boy was in Elizabeth's year; she had 7th grade science with him before he left school.
Now, Elizabeth switched to an all-girl's Catholic high school this year, so she's not at the targeted school, but Hannah's elementary school is behind the high school (just the athletic fields separate the buildings). So, even though nothing happened, it's pretty scary to think about "what if?"
Oh, and even worse: the kid's mom bought the semi-automatic weapon for him (may have done more!)

I went to NYC on Monday with my friend who owns a bridal shop. We were buying cool jewelry and stuff for her shop. Then we went to the American Girl store. I bought Bitty Baby and her starter kit. I also got ELiza the matching pajamas. My MIL has an outfit for her as well. I can't wait for Christmas to break out that baby!!!!

Thanks, Becka, for the smile! But I'm kinda partial to the real Sudafed! You know, the stuff you have to get from the pharmacist, show your driver's license, and watch how much you buy. I like to live on the edge with my medication. The other day I had to get some kid Sudafed and regular Sudafed... was worried that I might have exceeded my limit, but the pharmacist let me buy the whole stash!!!

Dennis said that a whole family came to one of the pharmacies he was working at and they each had an rx for a month's supply of sudafed. Several boxes and when they were paying they smiled about something and guess what.......all had meth mouth! Just got a prescription for enough to go home an make a batch.

DGS said the plans are now in the final stages...almost. The band director has decided that this will be a seniors only trip for some reason. That's ok though because all the band kids we are attached to are seniors! Still on a bus though.

Methamphetamine users ruin their teeth with the drugs and it has a bit of a distinctive look. It is called meth mouth.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday. I don't know if any of you have been hearing coverage of the tornado here in Missouri that killed 2 people very early yesterday morning but the man killed was a co-workers' next door neighborhood when she was a kid. It is about 50 miles from where I live. He still lived next door to her parents. Such a tragedy. He leaves behind 3 daughters (14, 17 and 20 or something like that) and a new grandbaby. He was safe in his house that night but went to get his girlfriend (who lived in a trailer) to bring her back to his house so she would be safe. The tornado took the trailer almost a mile from where it originally stood and they were both killed.

A month from tomorrow is when we leave for WDW and I am starting to realize that I am NOT at all ready! I have been putting off things still thinking I had plenty of time but it is sneaking up on me. I did finally go over to Ebay and buy a lot of 50 trader pins so at least we will be ready to pin trade. DH and DS are as excited about that as ever. 50 pins should be more than enough for them and with the lot is is just a little over $2/pin so it was not too bad but it still seems bad when you shell out $100 all at once.

We still want to look for a cheaper digital camera for DS and I really need to start getting out suitcases pulled out and packing things that we know we will need that we are not using here now like swimming suit, shorts, etc.. I am excited about the trip but we have so much going on the next few weeks it may be hard to make sure I am getting trip stuff done so we are not in a panic a few days before we leave.

Becka- relax we leave in 5 days for our trip and we have started to pack. The suitcases are still in the basement and here I sit on the computer!! Somehow it always get done.
