Yeah the Red Sox won!

Not even gonna comment . . .

(just hope Trot Nixon comes back to haunt the Bosox, and Manny plays spiderman catching flyballs in the playoffs like he did for us)

Hope we get to play you, and at least we both hate the Yankees!

Everybody watching MNF or Heroes tonight?

We have gotten bad news here this evening. My brother's wife is not expected to survive the night....without a miracle. She fell over 3 months ago, lay with her leg under her for hours with the circulation cut off. My brother got her up when he got home and by morning the leg was not looking good. They got her to the hospital and she was sent by life flight to Seattle. Her leg eventually had to be amputated, and it seemed she was doing ok except for an infected bed sore on her back. My dear sweet brother was able to stay with her for the first 2 weeks then had to go back to work to pay the bills. He was spending his 2 days off driving the 5 hours to spend some time with her. This afternoon he got a call saying her heart was "doing funny stuff" to quote him, her breathing is labored and her kidneys have been shutting down for the last few days. They have moved her to intensive care again and told him needs to get there ASAP. My niece who was just here visiting this weekend is driving him over and their other children are also on their way. I am just so sad for him. They are the only couple we know that are more devoted to each other than we are. He absolutely adores her. He told me early on that without her there is no reason for him to live. Although I know he will keep going on, I also know he will be lost and I don't know how to help him. All prayers for them will be appreciated.

Then I also got a call that my favorite uncle is at the hospital in Spokane with his wife. She too is in intensive care. They are in their 80's and married only 3 years. They are just so cute and in love. It did not sound like she was in imminent danger, but she does have a blood clot in her groin area. That can be very dangerous, but she is getting treatment to dissolve it. I called and talked with my uncle and he sounded so very tired. My cousin said he was at his door at 5 am this morning with the dog for them to watch. He has over a 3 hour drive from his house to my cousin's so I know he was on the road before 2 am. I told him he needs to get over to the hotel and get some rest and then get a fresh start with the docs in the morning. He said he would do that.....I hope he did. Prayer for them too please.

Oh Angie. :( :grouphug: I am so sorry to hear about your SIL. That sounds like a horrible accident and I will pray for her family to find the strength that they need right now.

Hey everyone, just wanted to pop on here...can't remember the last time I was on the computer just for fun. I've been working a lot and of course packing. We closed on the 21st and filled up a storage unit that weekend. We have been taking everything that is going to come with us down and filling the holes and Mike has been prepping the walls to repaint them. He is doing the trim work now and cutting the edges for the wall color...the same that we used before so it should cover well and freshen everything up. Kaitlyn asked me last night if all houses have dots when you move. LOL! She was looking up at all the spackle "dots" on her walls. :) There has been a moving van at the new house for the past couple days so that is good news...maybe they will be out of there before the 21st. :) We are all tired of living with the bare minimum and trying to do without things that it would be nice to have but they are packed away. (No, I didn't say bear. ;))

Lisa, I was just thinking of you and the family on the ride into work this morning. I hope the moving/packing goes as smooth as possible. Are Kaitlyn and William doing well? Will they get to choose decor for their new rooms?

And this message just came from my cousin about my favorite uncle and his sweet bride.

I went to the Post Office a bit ago and when I returned Dad was on the porch. Through many sobs and tears I learned that he has been told by the doctor that Irene is soon to pass. Probably in the next 3 to 4 days. She has a disease that kills the feet and hands.

I am just so sad for him.:sad1:

Yes, William has picked out his new bedding. :) He won't be using a dresser because there are so many shelves in his closet so we will be getting baskets for the socks and ties and such. :) Kailtyn is going to have a princess room but it will be a little bit older for her. I have had an English rose set put away for her because it was just too dark for her tiny bedroom. I think that it will go perfectly in her new room. I have to decide on how to decorate the walls too...thinking about a light pink sponged on the bottom part of the wall with white shelves going around the room for her princess dolls and such on display.

Unfortunately Kaitlyn is about to snap. I know that the kids are dealing with a lot right now but this is crazy!!! :(

Angie, I am so sorry. They sound like such a sweet couple. (((HUGS)))

Angie - my heart hurts for you :( Sending you lots of :grouphug:

Thank you. I do feel the love from this group and it helps. :grouphug: My uncle is taking her "home" tomorrow. To a care facility in their little town of Orofino. He sounded relieved to be getting to go home. It is so hard to hang out in a hospital day and night, especially at his age. He needs his rest too. He won't talk to me much about her condition because he is in the room with her. I will get to talk with him tomorrow night when he is at home and get the scoop on what the heck is wrong with her.

Angie, I hope that they are able to find peace at home with each other for the time that they have together. (((HUGS)))

John? Hey John? OH JOHOOOOOOOHHHHHHHNNNNNN

I was told - told mind you by my DH to write to you. SO I need to write here and in email I suppose. I am to say "Did you wear bug spray" first of all and then "WHAT A GAME!"

I wrote back . . .

Alex used our tickets tonight - we went to HS football. Speaking of games, I just watched Manny Jack a pitch over the monster for a walk off HR. BIG mistake pitching to him. I watched him mash for years in Cleveland before you guys backed the Brinx truck up to his house for him.

That's the 10th man for the Indians - the BUGS!

Did you hear what they called them PJ? Canadian Soldiers!:rotfl2:

Amazing that EVERY team in the playoffs is up 2-0.

Not looking forward to playing the BOSOX if this keeps up . . .

Maybe LeBron will root for Boston too . . . Goof!

Blessings to you and your family Angie.

John, not one channel was showing baseball up here. I went looking for the game and came up empty.
