John, Can a person have to many ipod's? I mean at what point do you have an ipod problem? (just wondering if I can justify one)

I just have TWO - and my walking one is now DOA . . .

I don't like to carry the big one for walking - and I have that lanyard/headphone thingy that I really like. Can't use that with the big one. I also use the Nano when I mow - fits in the pocket nicely - which is how it ended up in the washer . . .:sad2:

Brandi,

I love your pictures! You are making me jealous! I wish we were there.

I have been working on my year schedule the last hour and I can no longer do it. It is starting to feel like the tetrus puzzle when it gets to the very top!

As soon as I get the pictures back from DD's latest competition, I will post them. She was so happy! She moved up a level and just wanted to not be last. Most of the kids are a lot older, 1 younger, but they have all been doing this level a little longer than she has. She got 3rd, but wait till you see her pictures, you'd have thought she won an olympic gold. I guess it is good for kids to not always do well, remember her first competition?. I was just amazed because she skated so well.

John, when is the big trip with Lisa? I am also jealous of that!

We found out this week, Steve's niece has decided to get married in Canada, (the yukon people) on the 28th of July. It will cost us $800 a person to get there. We won't even know if we can go until after Steve's Dr. see's him again July 2nd. So I am watching the prices go up, wondering if I should do this. Steve's sister says if anyone has an excuse to miss, it is him. Any advice?

Also, and this is a really long post. Do you have any advice on how I can fit in on other threads, or are my expectations just to high?

Thanks for the pic compliment. I am glad your DD is doing well with her competitions. That is awesome. As for the wedding. I say SKIP it and go to Disney when your husband is feeling better! ;)

As for fitting in on another thread...I have no advice. I am still stuck here!!!:woohoo:

I would say driving is not an option . . .

It was just weird - I don't want to dwell on it, but it also felt odd because there was no "wing man" there. I got some accolades for how it was handled, but that is different. I also got a PM about it.

It has all reinforced to me that I am most at home here, but what a twist of fate that is to find a group of people that relate so well with one another and with me. And even though that was not as perfect as it possibly could be, the core group remains.

:grouphug:

John1, I read over there every day, but you may have noticed that I post little. That is weird for me, Miss Chatty Cathy. When the stir started I was :confused3  , and decided to just let you handle it, which you did very well. I really felt I might just make it worse if I jumped in also. :sad2: :grouphug:

Kim, the wedding...I think I would skip it with all you have been dealing with. It is wonderful to get to see lots of family in one place, but your plate has been way to full.

Cannot wait to see Savannah's photos.

Kim, I think you will fit in fine with the people I met in CA when you meet them. I think that our expectations were just way to high based on our experience with this group, and we just need to know that this was an exceptional group to bond the way we did. You will have fun with others on the cruise and then move on. Friends are few, acquaintances are many, all are nice people and make a difference in our lives. We formed real friendships here and we just need to treasure that. I love you guys!!

Awwww...thanks!!! I love you guys too!!!!!

Bit of a minor deal alert . . .

If you are looking for an iPod nano, you can get a refurbed one (4gb) at the Apple store online for $20 off - $129. I was looking because my 1st Gen Nano (1gb) just accidently went through the wash, and I use my Nano when I walk, which I will do every morning while on the beach. Only problem is they can't guarantee I will get it before we leave, unless I pay $10 extra, and at that point I might as well just get it at Best Buy.

Oh, and they do have them in LIME!

You may be shocked  to know that I am really considering getting an iPhone when they come out.

I keep talking because that is just me. There are a few people over there who would fit right in over here, but not everybody.

Becka, how is Nathan doing on the diet, and is it still helping with the behavior?

Holy smokes Brack!

Now, if you tell me you are going to get a Mac, I will be like Fred Sanford and the big one will come!

I would just LOVE an iPhone, but two things prevent it . . . first, we are currently locked in with Sprint, second, the price is a bit :scared1: even for me, the Apple booster!

Kim,

Sounds like you need a  for DH. Whatever is wrong...hope it gets better soon.

Can't wait to see DD's pics...

BTW loved seeing more pics from everyone.

Two things help me with the iPhone:

1. We are with Cingular (the new AT&T) :thumbsup2
2. It works with Windows :surfweb:

The deal breaker could be the price!

John1 I was lurking on that "other" thread and saw that you posted about your upcoming vacation to Atlantic Beach, NC.

Annette and I love it there! As a matter of fact that is where we went for our honeymoon over 35 years ago. Our families used to go there often. Annette's Dad used to spend days on the Triple S pier fishing.

One of my favorite shops is Bert's Surf Shop. I always get aT-S**** everytime we go there.

Hope you have a great time. Maybe you can post a picture of Bert's for me.

I have a theory that the iPhone will be another subtle way to get even MORE people over to Macs. Once you start using OSX on that phone, and Safari, you will see what an elegant operating system is all about, and see what a clunker Windoze actually is.

Did I tell you all my son got a new laptop for med school. Guess what? He got a Mac! A MacBook Pro 15". Many of his friends are getting Macs too. Cheaper than similar top of the line Dells, and if you really want to run Windoze, you can now, at native speed.

C'mon over Brack . . . we Mac users are a friendly bunch!

I will get a picture of Bert's for you Brack. Did you know Lisa lives so close to there? Only 45 minutes away in New Bern. We have been going there (although we did go to Corolla for 3 of these years) since Alex was 3 years old - 17 years. I love the beach, it faces South, and it is a lot quieter there than other places further South where a lot of our neighbors go. Myrtle Beach.

And, I LOVE the hush puppies at the Sanitary Seafood restaurant.

Sanitary Seafood :cloud9: We love that place! :thumbsup2 Have some hush puppies and sweet tea for me.

I did know Lisa lived nearby. When we went to a funeral in New Bern a few months back I told her but didn't have time to stop in. I also wanted to go on to Atlantic Beach to eat at Sanitary Seafood but couldn't take the extra time. :sad2:
