No reading today. I got my IPod out and found I cannot sing and read at the same time. :confused3 I can, however, do crossword puzzles and sing at the same time. And just in case you are wondering, I do sound amazingly like Linda Ronstadt, Oliva Newton-John, Tammy Wynette and even the Statler Bros. :thumbsup2 I don't understand why Dennis tells me not to sing with my IPod. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I'm alone, it's ok Casino tonight after dinner, outlet mall tomorrow - Coldwater Creek!

Annette's favorite store ..... Coldwater Creek :thumbsup2

Mine too! When the catalog comes I just say order me one of each, Dennis, and I will be very happy! I really like the outlet though because the prices can be :scared1: .

Very true, Angie. I am shocked by what some of the right words are, lol.

Annette and I went to one of their outlet stores in Rehobeth Beach, DE. (not too far from here) She bought a bunch of their things for the price they normally charge for one piece!

Hope I have such luck tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Hey, I've discovered that I do a pretty good John Denver and Don Williams too! Wait till I share this with DrHug! :lmao: :lmao:

Oh, the Cape May, NJ lottery winner came forward finally. It was not Caroline.:sad2: Has anyone heard from her?

I talked to her last week.... She's fine....

She just hasn't felt like posting or reading lately....

Thanks, Kristina. If you talk with her again tell her we love her and miss her.

Took DrHug to work this morning then went to the outlet mall for a few hours. One shirt at Clearwater Creek (I did contain myself!), one top and a pair of shoes :rolleyes1 at Liz Clairborne, a few items at the kitchen store that we still needed for the MH then to Harry and David's for a couple of bags of DARK CHOCOLATE truffles! :woohoo: Then picke up DrHug of lunch and now am back at the park in the mh DISing. Life is good for me this week.:goodvibes Dennis did not feel like going to the casino last night after work so we just had a quiet dinner and watched a little TV. Could not get the cable going, so CBS, ABC, NBC and FOX were our only choices. We feel deprived now, but I remember when that was always our only choices.:rotfl2: We will check out the casino tonight when I pick him up, it is right by the store where he is working. Will see if they will take a $20 donation from each of us. :rotfl: :lmao:

Hi guys,

It's been a long couple of days . . .

Yesterday I got a call when dad was at physical therapy that he had passed out and they called 911. I got to the hospital, and he was not well, his legs were swollen and he looked ill.

Three hours later, we found out he had a clot in each leg, a low blood count, and fluid around his heart. They admitted him to the hospital. So I spent a good part of the day and the evening at the hospital.

You may recall that mom went into the hospital right before we were to leave for the cruise, and now dad has landed in the hospital and we are to leave for Florida on Friday.

Today things looked much better, and he is in good spirits. They gave him two units of blood, and medication to clear and disolve the clots. The doctor said that other than what he came to the hospital for, for an almost 85 year old man, he is in fairly good health. If the clots get resolved and they do not find any other issues, he could come home in a few days.

Oh, and Brack, close but no cigar on the 10,000 post on the WB thread!

John, I am so sorry about your dad! I hope he gets better quickly! I have been trying to get on the boards for days but it is always down, so I promise I am not ignoring anyone.

John, we will keep your dad in our prayers here. Take care of yourself as well. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I picked Dennis up at 7 last night and we went directly to the casino. We had dinner there. They have a restaurant that looks out at the ocean, it was just at sunset, the waves were pretty big, the weather had just cleared enough so that there was some blue sky along with the clouds. It was beautiful and dinner was amazing! I had coconut/rum shrimp and Dennis had sauted scallops....we shared. Every piece of dinner was perfect, the roasted potatoes, the grilled veggies, and the presentation. It was so good that I sent a 10% tip to the chef. I have only done that a few times, but it was that good!

The Siletz Tribe is $90 richer now also! Fun evening though. I only lost $10, so that tells you the luck DrHug had with his slots!

Today the weather has cleared. The sun has shone all day. I took a walk around the park this morning and realized I should have taken Dennis' camera...so I came back to the MH, got the camera and did the walk again. The lake here is quite pretty, it was very quiet with only one man and a child fishing today. The whole park is silent since it is off season here on the coast. Only us old folks in RVs here. Lovely, lovely days for me this week, but alas...back to work tomorrow. BUT the good news is that I just work one day and then I am off Friday thru next week for our trek to Montana with DGS and his buddies.

Angie, sounds like a wonderful trip. That meal is making me hungry (leftovers here tonight...) Enjoy!
