Kim, I would not fib about this. Amy has real EAR-SPLITTING screams during the games. Sophia is OK with it . . . our son Alex though wants to crawl under the seat and hide.

Lady Tar Heels got through the first round of the tournament earlier today! GO HEELS!

(yes, I know you are all on the edge of your seats waiting for these updates..)

And on the men's side, the all-Geek Sweet Sixteen is still alive, with Angie and Dennis represented by USC (don't think we mentioned them earlier). The Heels and USC meet Friday night, so we'll have to lose one Geek team.

Yes, in fact people who know me, have said "you never talk or raise your voice, we didn't know you had it in you."

I can't imagine! We don't get excited for anything except Tech football. Mike has been known to go outside on the porch when they score a touchdown & jump up & down with his arms raised in victory....otherwise he is pretty quiet watching the game. LOL! The kids make more noise than he does.

Forgot to tell you guys, I got a letter from DCL on Friday . . . .

It was about the fax I sent to reserve the first cruise on the new ships . . .


They sent me my fax back, and told me they are not currenlty accepting any advance reservations for the new ships . . . . thanked me for my support . . . blah, blah, blah . . .

Oh well . . .

I got the same letter, John1.

It's true! No screaming or anything but the smile on his face says enough.

I use to have to watch the Redskin games in my room growing up because the father was a Cowchip fan...especially when we were beating them in a game. Whenever we scored a touchdown I would hop thru the house cheering and singing Hail to the Redskins, then go back to my room until the next score.

I tried to vote ONLY for Utah - wouldn't let me.

I tried voting for Utah 3 times - wouldn't let me.

So I voted for two others that I thought looked the LEAST photogenic, not wanting to give the real competition any votes . . .

This was not easy - those girls all look so perfect.

Now why didn't I think of that?

We arrived at Devil's Lake State Park around 6 last night. I followed Dennis on the car since he needs a vehicle to get to work and I need the MH to veg in all day. He did a great job of driving this rig coming across the Coast Range mts. It handled quite well on the curves and he stayed right at speed limit on the inclines. Good job, Dennis! Now he is at work and I have a whole day to relax. I brought two books with me. I have not sat down and read a book in ages. I brought The Street Lawyer by Grisham. Dennis said he thinks I will like it, BUT just incase I can't get into it, I also brought One Soldiers Story by Bob Dole. I LOVE Bob Dole! I got to meet him once at the VA. I even got to put a pin on his lapel and got my photo taken with him! The photo is funny, everyone else that posed with him just stood beside him looking very proper, but I hooked my arm thru his and posed like he was my best friend! Regardless of politics, he is a true gentleman, has a wonderful sense of humor and is a great American. Hmmm. Maybe I will skip Grisham and just go with Bob.

It rained all night, still raining...but it's Orygun what did I expect?? We did not sleep real well since the rain on the roof of our home on wheels is very different that in a real house. It will take a little bit to get used to the different sounds at night. Of couse, the fact that I "ouched" with my ankle everytime I turned over did not help either. It was actually getting much better, then I twisted it just a little getting into bed and OUCH! again. I'll rest it today though and it will be better.

Breakfast is made, dishes are done and put away. Now I just need to make the bed and shower and I'm done until dinner time. Dennis gets off at 7 and is less than 10 min away so we are thinking we will run over to the casino, even closer than the store, after dinner and donate 20 bucks to the local tribe. We played Skip-Bo after dinner last night, he won first game and I won the second.

No reading today. I got my IPod out and found I cannot sing and read at the same time. I can, however, do crossword puzzles and sing at the same time. And just in case you are wondering, I do sound amazingly like Linda Ronstadt, Oliva Newton-John, Tammy Wynette and even the Statler Bros. I don't understand why Dennis tells me not to sing with my IPod. I'm alone, it's ok Casino tonight after dinner, outlet mall tomorrow - Coldwater Creek!
