Howdy my friends!

It's been a frustrating week! I get home from a three week 4,000 mile trip and most of my electronics are down. I fix all of them except my high speed internet service. Comcast tells me it is either the modem or the line but they can not come out until tomorrow (almost a week! )

I do have my Sprint card but for some reason it is really slow here in my house.

GASP ! That has to be frustrating. It would definitely stress me out. How is it going Brack?

I had to order $90,000 worth of iMacs, iLife and iWorks at 4pm today, it was a blast, lol.

John1 I haven't seen everything yet but read macDailynews, Gizmodo and Engadget. I still have Macrumors et. all to read never mind the King source of data the apple.com site. Heck yeah I plan to get iLife 08 and iWork 08 family pack I saw the little upgrade on the airport extreme. I want it. I want to bring mine back and get the new one. Why - well no real reason mine is fine I just WANT it.

Marielle - Of course your DD should just have her own. At least that is what I heard. I still hear "its not fair" that I have a 23 inch screen. Hey I say, it's the old screen not the new ones. Does the PowerPC or whatever they are called now updates mean I should try to sell my G5 Dual 2 GHz PowerPC? Heck I think we ALL should update. eMacs anyone for an iMac?

Actually my sister commented on that one. Sell it she says. Also the three year old is without a Mac. Her 10 yr old and my 7 yr old have eMacs. We go by the philosophy that the oldest passes down but then since both have eMacs that won't work. The 10 year old decided that he would like a Macbook. He's decided it actually would be a better investment than the PS3 after all. All with a winning smile that says hmm I wonder if Auntie would also buy me an iPhone and Macbook Uhm yeah right - NOT. I said save your money for a Macbook and you are too young for an iPhone. His face My sister laughed when I told her because she had just said the same thing to him. hey I'll give her old iBook back to him when I get a Macbook myself.

Now my kid - a Macbook - nah - she wants the biggest screen there could be. The better to see her DVDs. Heck she would like the AppleTV in her room with her own HDTV Sony Wega frankly. She'll settle for the large iMac though (now understand this was before the update). I say again...NOT!

Poor children they are so deprived. Of course my daughter would be all over her system if I didn't have it locked down. She could be the back up administrator in my house.

The same thing happened to me last time I went.... one was a bit longer than the other side... I won't be going to her anymore -- her work has gotten progressively sloppier.

It will grow out in a week or so, if it's not that bad... you could tweeze it even yourself, go back and ask for it to be fixed, or go to someone new to have them fix it for you.

And your DH is probably right -- you notice it more than anyone else... I had to point mine out to my DH and he only saw it after staring back and forth for a minute.

I ended up getting it fixed. There was a different girl that fixed it because the original girl was not there. She just tweezed a bit and now it looks fine.

She's baaaaack. Good ol' Veruca Salt. I've ignored her thus far. She keeps telling me to look up the Apple Mac announcements today. I've been too busy at work. I figured new iMac's and iLife but other than that I just have been too busy to check. Just check she is whispering - yeah right Veruca - I hear that Willy Wonka song playing.

Ok...so I still didn't start packing. I don't know what my problem is! I put my toiletries together this morning...made sure I had everything. I still have 4 empty suitcases. Jason told me he is loading the van when he gets home today. We are leaving as soon as he gets home tomorrow.

Man, I better get my act together.

I wish Steve Jobs knew how much between Apple and Disney he has sucked out of my wallet and put me in debt !

With the new imovie, it may be time to upgrade to HD camcorder soon - and I may actually shoot video.

I am resisting all the rest - LOVE the new iMacs, but nowhere to put a desktop in our house anymore - Amy and I both use laptops, and Sophia's hand-me-down older iMac is fine for now. As to the gigabit AE - I don't need to do anything that fast anyway! (not yet)

Devon could roller skate by age 4 but never showed any real interest in riding a bike until we moved to MD and she was 10.

Then again the only real place she had to ride it in PA was when we went to the park. (We lived along a busy street so it wasn't like she could ride there.)

They just fixed the service. It must have been a power surge taking out the modem.

Now I have to reset the router to get the signal throughout the house.

The new thing ....... the AC is not working well and it is 100 degrees outside!
