Just wanted to say Hi !!!! to everyone, so "HI EVERYONE!"

from the laptop of DrHug

We need a Disney Resort on our property. :rotfl2: That way we could spend a lot more time there. They should move the 'land' from France to Portland. That would be "WAY COOL".

I am so sad... http://www.sacbee.com/arden/story/309665.html

His father was my old boss and I'm sure the family is just devastated. It's just such a tragedy. I just needed to tell someone.... I'm not particularly close to him but he was a good boss - always nice and cordial and respectful. My heart just breaks for him.

:grouphug: That is sad. This might sound strange but DH and I went everywhere on a motorcycle before we had kids. My mom was always worried. I would say "Don't worry, if something happens know I died happy." There is nothing as free as riding a motorcycle. It is devastating for the family, please don't misunderstand. We just loved it so much any risk was worth taking. I hope what I said makes sense.

Today we are taking my kids and my brothers kids to get pics for my mom. There are 5 kids...and Jake is the oldest... Wish me luck!

I loved my motorcycle. Sold it the year Alex was born. I have one positive thing I can think about with my son - Alex NEVER learned to ride a two-wheeler. I made several attempts with him, and he just lost interest. In the back of my mind has always been the bright side of that - he can't ride a motorcycle if he can't ride a two-wheeler.

Someday I hope to get one again, where if someone runs me down, at least my kids are raised. You are right Brandi, there is nothing like riding a motorcycle, but you realize just how STUPID and INATTENTIVE some drivers are.

Are you kidding me? This area is FULL of Steelers fans!

Remember, the Browns were gone for several years, and they came out of the woodwork. It also does not help that the Browns have not won a championship in like forever, and are one of three teams to NEVER have been to a Super Bowl . . .:sad2:

Many of the current fans were not even alive when Jim Brown played.

Wow, I'm shocked that Steelers fans are in your area. I realize that Steelers fans are known for being everywhere in the country, but I figured that Cleveland and the surrounding area would be shielded from it.

And with the inattentive drivers there are motorcycle riders who do not realize that much of the time they are invisible to drivers. They are safe to ride if you remember no one can see you and don't get carried away with speed. DrHug rode when he first got home from VietNam and my dad and stepmom had the big bikes (Goldwing for him) and had a great time on them.

Joy, I'm glad that you feel this is the place to come when you hurt and just need to tell someone. :grouphug: Will you be attending the funeral?

Absolutely right Angie. No shortage of stupidity on 2, 4, or 18 wheels!

Thanks. I will be attending the memorial service tomorrow... it's being held at his high school (a private charter school). He had just graduated :( Apparently it was just a freak accident of sorts -- one of my coworkers lives in the area and drove by it. He was just practicing... doesn't sound like "intentional" speed was involved... he just didn't know how to control the bike.
