Penny, Becca, & I were in chat last night. :) I didn't log out until 12:30.

The kids are both in time out right now so I thought that I would jump on here quickly to catch up. It's starting to rain here....going to be a long day.

Good morning! I really don't have anything to add. I'm just catching up and saying hello! Hope everyone has a good weekend. :wave2:

It was fun talking to Lisa and Penny last night in chat. :)

We have a pretty quiet day planned here. My DS is watching cartoons and DH and DD are laying on the couch. DD pitched such a big fit about 20 minutes ago that she put herself to sleep. :sad2:

I have thought about going by Super Suppers this afternoon and trying them out. I have heard their food is really good and it sure does sound easy. Has anyone here used these types of places?

Is that where you go & get the ingredients to make your meals? I would LOVE for there to be a place like that around here. I am so not the cook.

::yes::

I can get 6 meals for 120 and be done in 2 hours or less. There meals are for 6 so we can split them and/or have leftovers for lunch so I don't think it will too bad. I hate to cook so I figure it is worth a shot.

Here are the dishes I am thinking about doing:

Lemon Tarragon White Fish Fillets with Herbed Vegetable Rice Pilaf
Crunchy white fish fillets flavored with fresh lemon, tarragon, and crispy panko crumbs. Paired with our veggie-loaded rice pilaf. Eat this juicy, crunchy fish as is, or make fish tacos by filling soft tortillas with fish and adding lettuce, cheese, and salsa.

Chicken-Cheddar Stuffed Braided Bread
Chicken, cheddar cheese, olives, onions, bell peppers, and more are stuffed inside our soft bread and baked to perfection. Includes two braided breads – make one for the kids and load up the other for yourself!

Baby Back Ribs
A favorite is back! Baby back ribs marinated in our special recipe for barbeque dry rub. Ready for a quick grilling.

Maple Mustard Pork Chops with Cinnamon Apples
Boneless pork chops glazed with Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and fresh lemon juice. Serve with our Cinnamon Apples for a perfect taste combination.

Swedish Meatballs
Plump, juicy meatballs swim in our delicious sour cream mushroom sauce. Includes herbed egg noodles. Place the noodles on a large platter, top with meatballs, and it’s almost too pretty to eat!

Beef and Mushroom Burgers with Baked Beans
Make these burgers just the way you like them. Choose from our selection of ingredients, including onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and more. Fabulous with our incredible Baked Beans.

If they are half as good as they sound I think it would be worth it! :)

WOW!!! Meals for 6. That works out to be 18 meals for DH & I (when he is home)...DS wont touch any of it...only chicken nuggets, hot dogs, or pizza. DD would try a little or have something else simple. That is less than $7 per night for us! Oh how I wish that they had that here!!!! How much prep do you have to do? Do they have people there at each option to help you?

My 32yo DS and his DW just called from the Carnival ship they were on. They just returned from a 5 day Western Caribbean cruise. I asked him how he liked the cruise. The answer was as expected:

"It was ok. I quess we were spoiled by Disney." :rolleyes1 "We probably will not do that cruise line again."

He said the ship was small and it seemed like every college grad in the US was onboard to get drunk. He did like the excursions but it was 110 degrees in Mexico one day.

I'm trying to talk them into coming on our cruise with us. We'll see.
:dance3:

LOL! Did you tell them....told you. ;) When did you get retagged? I remember when we talked about the DCL commercials. :)

We talked about the difference before they left but I'm glad they did it; now we don't have to wonder. Still our best friends are hooked on RCL and want us to join them. Maybe ..... :confused3

I added the "soon Baltimore" yesterday. When I get there I'll take off Oklahoma City.:sad2:

Back to packing. Talk to ya later.
:woohoo:

No...I meant from the Tag Fairy. :)

I never tire of the elevator one

Well, I'm officially booked on the RCCL Explorer!! It's the same one I should be on right NOW with DH before he decided against going!! :lmao: It's a 5 day from NJ to Bermuda. It will be me, my Dsister, Dmom and her dear friend who has never cruised before. We'll be on it July 9th! :woohoo:

My DDs keep begging to go with me. Who are they kidding?!?!?! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Sounds like a very nice trip!

Ok, must worst fear has come true. :sad2: There was a parents' orientation last night for DDs JHS for next year and we were given lots of little tidbits and handouts. Well, I just looked at one of the handouts and it has the school calendar for the year. The band Christmas concert is 12/14!!!! :scared1: I had already figured she would be missing one of the Christmas parades, but I was so hoping she wouldn't have to miss the concert. I don't know how this will go over with DD or her teacher! DD already doesn't like to miss school. If we can't go this week we won't be going at all since prices are so much higher than what we have now. Do I tell DD now?? Do I wait until it's too late? :guilty: I really wish I hadn't seen this. I was going to have a talk with the band teacher anyway, so I would have found then anyway. Guess we'll be having a serious discussion soon.
Giving myself pixiedust: ;)

AAHHHH!!! I feel for you...really I do! I am a music teacher. What a bummer to have to miss a concert. I could normally never ever leave during December but since my maternity leave doesn't end until Jan. I could get away. Honestly, I am sure the teacher won't be thrilled (or your daughter) but in the grand scheme of life she will get to do many more concerts. It isn't like you are missing her last one ever....if that is any help...

We just did a 2 day yard sale at my parents. I sold all of Jake's clothing that I didn't use for ebay. I also had a pile of baked goods and other "junk." After paying for the add my share was $432!!!! Let me just say...WOO HA! :cool1: Now I have money for the beach! :beach:

I must get packing...we want to load the car today. We leave tomorrow!

That is an incredible yardsale!!!! UNHEARD of here. :( I have to donate the kid's clothes & type out donation lists to recoup & help the cause for our trip. :)

Well I just got back and because some of the full meals seemed like too much for us I ended up doing 3 full meals and 6 half meals so I have 9 meals totol and probably at least 2-3 lunches from the full meals as well for $120.

They have everything you need at each station and you just put it all together. You can add or remove certain ingredients to your tastes. They had two people working their to help with any questions. No prep...just assembly. It was really easy and now I just have to hope that it all tastes as good as it looks.

I am so jealous!!! :) Sounds so yummy! The closest one for that company is in Raleigh. 2 hours away. :(

that sounds awesome for meals....never gonna happen here.

We are home watching Parent Trap...the new version (personally I love the Hayley Mills version), waiting for Dh to get home to go out to eat with the Outlawz at the Columbia.

Tomorrow - we - are - going - to - the - WORLD~~~@@@~~@@~~!!!

My compromise for going out to eat with the Outlawz! Don't ask - they live 20 min away and NEVER bother to come see the girls. They have never changed a diaper, never baby sat, etc. Which is no BIG DEAL, but then they act like we are the horrid ones who never visit. UMMMM last time I checked it is WAY easier to load up two people in the car than....well, whatever. Not gonna go there...but we have to spend the evening with them. I tried to get DH to go alone and NO GO.

So here we sit, eating popcorn, watching the Parent Trap, DIS'ing and making lunch plans for tomorrow! DH just called...I better get moving!

and sorry - I don't mean to sound hateful, but obviously there is a story here, so please, understand!!
