Mrs. Mork - I hope your husband takes his grandson's advice! That would be a real treasure for your family. My DGrandmother passed away 2 weeks after Jake was born and I wish I had something like that! I really hope DrHug takes his advice!

I told him he needs to get started. Just one story at a time so it will not seem so overwhelming.

This afternoon is DD's award presentation for her artwork. She didn't want to go this morning. Suddenly she has stage fright. Maybe DS will walk up there with her.

Pixie dust for her. Hope she got thru it ok. Accomplishing something that scares you can be very powerful.

Lisa, what a great story! And the photo of DD with her little book is just too precious!! Daddy should be really, really proud! (this would be another glasses fogging incident at our house!! )

Okay...I hate to to say this, but I am going to have to cancel this cruise. I am bummed because I made some good friends on the 12/10 cruise last year. However, due to financial constraints, I had to make some tough decisions and the cruise was a casualty. FYI, I am not foregoing the cruise to buy Ducks season tix either. I am so sad...I really do need a vacation now and can't imagine not going this year. I know I am going to WDW sometime in '07.......

I will check in from time to time to see how you are all doing.

Angie and Dennis I still hope to see you at the end of this month.

Jordan, My fellow solo cruiser! I hope all will turn out better in the end, you will be missed! Maybe things will turn around and if you don't need it back right now, the deposit is refundable until September, keep it on so you don't miss out on the price you have now, if you are able to cruise in the end.

I had some $$ rumbling this week too, darn car. But hopefully it was fixed this morning with a new radiator cap and a top up, and all will be well. After losing rad fluid for weeks and trying lots of methods for what I thought was a leak, checked the rad right after a drive and there was spray all over the engine, the cap plug inside was bent and not holding pressure. This is a new rad, my brother put it in last fall. But he got the part from his work at the time, staff discount, and now they won't replace it without paying the difference to full retail. It had a one year warranty (not indicated final sale), and a defective part is a defective part, no matter the price paid.

This car has to get me to Buffalo for my flight to the cruise, could never afford the pre-cruise at WDW and a flight from Toronto, it would have to be one or the other. Just the savings from the flight are paying for the DDP and my transport to the ship, room is on DVC (so free.)

Jordan, I'm with Penny, If all you have invested in the cruise right now is the Downpayment why not wait until September and see what happens?

Otherwise, I understand picking the season tickets over the cruise. It's closer, and you are able to enjoy them spread out over the season instead of in one big lump.

Personally I think going to sporting events is torture. My FIL buys college season tix for DH and his gift to me is to NOT buy me one.

LOL! Worse yet....he could get tickets for the kids too! We don't have any sports teams near us so we don't have to go thru that. I remember going to the Tide's games when I was younger...the Met's AAA team. DH & I went to a VT football game before the kids came along and that was fun because we enjoy watching the games on TV together. I would never try to take the kids. DD is always having to run to the bathroom. I would miss a major play that way.
