Yes, there was an $85. per person penalty fee but we are getting quite a large refund from DCL because the December cruise is much cheaper.

DD will be 12 at cruise time, she just turned 12 in May. DS will be 10 at the time of cruising.

Woo Hoo! I have a DD 11 going on 12 on the cruise.

Just wanted to drop in and say "Hi". We were scheduled to be on the June 10th cruise but DS9 and DD12 got sick so today we rescheduled for the Dec. 9th Double dip! I'm so excited about this itinerary!!!

Did you have that trip insured? If so, how did it work out for you?

I'll bet you were a wreck worrying about the kids and the trip at the same time. I'm glad you made the decision to delay and go with us ('cause we have such a good group).

OK guys, I had DD hold up the bag that I found today so that I could post a picture of it. This thing is big & will be so much nicer for me to use to tote around the camera bags & DD's princess dresses to dinner & elsewhere during the day instead of the little one I used last cruise.

I am so hopeless addicted to DCL now. We booked this December cruise partly because we could not take on in May '07 for our actual 10th anniversary. Well now I am thinking that maybe we could go in December and go on a 3 or 4 day one with just DH and I for our actual anniversary. Somebody help me....

We did purchase the insurance but didn't need to use it, the airline (Delta) worked with us to change our flight to december and DCL worked with us as well, so aside from paying the penalty fees we didn't really lose anything.

It was really upsetting when the kids got sick this week but once I found this Dec. double dip I actually wanted to go on it more than the Eastern so it seems to have worked out for the better.

We usually try to hit Disneyland every december for my birthday so going on a december cruise will be perfect... of course I suspect I will now want an annual cruise every december instead of the usual Disneyland trip. Poor DH doesn't know what he's getting himself into.

My DH doesn't know what he has gotten himself into! Or should I say what I got us into. I have 2 cruises booked and while I have mentioned them to him, he doesn't know that I actually BOOKED them. He doesn't like to plan at all, but I learned here how much you save by booking earler. I can always cancel if a problem (mind you it would have to be a big problem!) comes up. I just mention them now and again so he can't say I sprung it on him!

I have been scanning through the CruiseCritics boards to find out more about my upcoming trip. The discussions can't compare with DIS! I know DCL only has two ships and they are fairly identical, but it is next to impossible to find out real info on CC.
