Lisa, my mother still burns towels on the stove, she is 58 and we have one of those stoves with the burners under ceramic stove top.

I have gotten a few projects done around here. I got tired of moving my scrapbook stuff out of the stair closet so I bought one of the wide drawer things on wheels. It is going to be so much easier now!
Waiting, waiting,
Yep, that's the kind of stove we have that DD turned on the wrong burner - the one that had the potholder on it.pjpoohbear said:Lisa, my mother still burns towels on the stove, she is 58 and we have one of those stoves with the burners under ceramic stove top.

I'll book a cruise while we are aboard in Dec to get the on board booking credit then move it when the 2008 cruises are announced. Now I will have to keep up with this tread AND the blabbermouth thread.I think I will be busy on my days off.

. The good news is - that's all the "official" jokes I know so now I am done.

Karen, so very sorry you are having to go through all this. You made me cry too.BuzzBoyMom said:Good Morning All!
I know I've been MIA for 2 days....2 very long days...
Here's my story...
Got home Tuesday night and from 3:45PM to 5:30AM...ALL NIGHT LONG...
we pumped water, squeegied (sp???) water, dug ditches....anything and everything we could to get the water to not come in the basement.
I've never experienced anything like it in my life.
Then we were too tired to go to work Wed. Pure exhaustion, mental and physical.
Thursday - yes - Court day. I am very impressed that Kristina remembered.
Well - we spent 2 1/2 hours in the magistrate's office. The contractor lied thru his teeth - saying stuff like ---- he couldn't say for sure if that was our house with all the flood water in itor...his workers didn't splatter the concrete on our siding...my DH must have done that..

It was so unbelievable. I just sat there and prayed for peace. In fact, I've spent most of this week praying and praying...praying for no rain, praying for the whole thing to be over.
There was so much back and forth and issues, that the judge wants to take his allowed 5 days to go over the evidence and make his ruling. Not sure if that is good or bad. We thought it was cut and dry - we had a contract for X. We got Y. Y caused flooding....we should at the very least not have to pay for the contract.....AND the contractor should be liable for SOME of the damages to our house....right now our estimates are at $20K to fix and repair what he did wrong/damaged that doesn't include ANY flood damage. But since the magistrates limit was $8K,that's all we could sue unless we wanted to take it to a higher court. We just wanted the whole thing over so we filed our counter claim for $8K. We'll find out the decision on July 5.
I'm sad. I'm exhausted. Please keep us in your prayers. We now literally have to sleep with our window open so that the minute it starts to rain we can run down stairs and start to pump water. Words can't describe it.
I'm gonna catch up on the posts, but I have so much to do that I probably won't be so chatty.
Thanks for letting me vent. I just keep welling up with tears. Hopefully by this weekend I'll be able to shake this off.
