Good morning everyone! The service will be 3/10. I don't know the time yet but we will probably drive up that Saturday to spend extra time with our friends.

that makes a lot of sense - the land packages will increase the attendance at the Anaheim parks which they probably need.

Why do the Mexican cruises turn out to be so popular and expensive?

I don't think attendance at DL is a problem. It has filled to capacity some days and there are always crowds. But, a 3/4 does make sense. A 4 day could go to Catalina and Ensenada.

Oh, and don't forget, someone won enough in Vegas over the weekend to pay for the cruise. (cat 3)

I feel like a minor leaguer at the show for the first time.

These people are major leaguers! They have a lot of discretionary income and a lot of free time. Pretty big disparity since I live for Lisa's Disney and Target coupon codes.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Maybe if I drive to Idaho I can play the lottery.

Kim

Kim, I finished "Cross" and picked up "Step on a Crack" and JD Robb'snewest "In Death" book. Those are rewards for the plane ride Sunday. yeah, like I'll wait to start reading

I will be picking those up myself on Monday for my plane ride... are we crossing the air?

the Cheesecake factory is within DQ so it can be crowded but you can get in. DQ is not that popular anymore hence the rumors about closing it.
THere is a similar venue called Wonderwerks - that's the upside down building on I-4 - there is also an evening magic show there.

We love Sea World - some of the shows are great and you can pet the stingrays there all day long as well as the dolphins. No need for an excursion.
Actually, a day at Discovery Cove might be just the thing if you are trying to do something special - includes a dolphin swim.

I am pretty sure that you cannot get the Kitchen Sink on the dining plan at B&C.

Is she too old for the pirate and princess party? - I think there are the last few in early March. It sounded like Vanessa had fun when she went. I hope they do this again in the fall.
Great ideas! Wonderworks - with a magic show - both kids love magic. Funny I have seen that building I think I walked by it a few years ago walking to Hard Rock Museum. I had no clue what it was. I had not even thought of Discovery Cove - cool. I know MLB Spring training will be at WWofS which is a thought. The day we arrive is also the last day of the Pirate princess. I considered it but thought after travel etc the day before her birthday that late would make her exhausted on her birthday. Thanks - a lot to investigate now and way better off than I was previously THANK YOU! I just processed that the Kitchen Sink has bananas in it. Yucko but in honor of Dis Geeks I'd eat the ice cream portion.

I suppose I need to figure out what I'm wearing and wash some clothes. :rolleyes1 Good thing I came here to thinkabout it - I thought the car service is picking me up at 8A - nope my flight is at 8A? 'Like I am going to pack this afternoon. You know me - I'll start at midnight.

See how easily distracted I am."Focus Carla" I came her to ask whether Pj and John had seen The Mexico ride reopened. From allears:

At Epcot's Mexico pavilion, "Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros" debuts (replacing "El Rio Del Tiempo") with a new storyline and film featuring Donald Duck, José Carioca (the parrot), and Panchito (the Mexican charro rooster) from the 1944 Disney film "The Three Caballeros."

The "Gran Fiesta Tour" film features an animated overlay of the caballeros being reunited for a grand performance in Mexico City. Along the way, Donald disappears to take in the sights of the country, leaving José and Panchito to search for their missing friend.

In addition to the new film, the boat ride's props, set facades and sound system have been refurbished and enhanced.

:lmao: :lmao: 5 dollar lottery tickets here when it gets over 150 million. :lmao:

Okay - gotta go for real now. Have a great weekend. Kim have a good flight Monday. Elaine and Kristina thanks for the ideas for March. I'll try to locate Ken in the mob Elaine. John thanks for sending in my 2011 request :lmao: - LOL. Thanks for the offer though.. Angie I hope DrHug is feeling better. Caroline hope you are as well.

Have a great birthday party today Sophia. John don't come out all spiffed up - and if you do would you PLEASE post a photo. Lisa hugs to Mike re his Gm and I'm so glad you have a date now for the service.

Hey V, I'm afraid to ask - whose hair was that on the sink? Hide the scissors. Welcome to the realm of cutting things. Yesterday I found a tiny slice out of a long john top sleeve and Bella shrugged and said 'Well you know I did that a long time ago when I used to practice cutting things." I never found that one. The cut was always in the same place and typically pants. We had the bangs incident in our house. Did you see Lisa's comment in chat of putting the hair in a book.

I go up to NH for powerball and I'mo on the listserv for winners whether I play or not which is rare. So why stay on the listserv....dreaming I guess.

:wave2: Hi Carla! (of course now she's gone - boy do I know how to clear a room!)

About time they updated!

Can't wait to see it!

I forgot Elaine!

Sorry Elaine!

And Carla!

Sorry!

And Brack, and Kristina, and Andy . . . and Caroline, and Todd . . . and Tana, and Charlotte (how is that Mac going - still posting from the library?), and Karen and gosh, the list goes on and on . . .

And of Course, LISA!

Miss all you guys and spent some time reminiscing through our thread tonight after Amy and I were talking about this over dinner.

LOL - no harm no foul.

I am getting excited about our little 5 day cruise next Sept. The thread is mostly very seasoned cruisers. Some of them are doing suites - but 5 of them in a suite - probably about equivalent to a regular fare then.

maybe after that trip we will just wait and cruise on the new ships. this time I think I will re-book onboard.

I've read several positive reviews of Wonderworks (oops sorry about the misspeliing) - Passporter did one and Mousesavers I believe. they say the magic show is cute.

I've always wanted to do a spring training thing - something to keep in mind.

Carla - let me know if you ever come west for Tanglewood or Berkshires during the summer.

have fun in New Orleans.

I am doing some research for my meals this upcoming week and I ran across a recipe that I thought Lisa might appreciate.

Big Bear Stew

INGREDIENTS

4 pounds bear meat
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 cup beef broth
4 bay leaves
2 pounds red potatoes, diced
1 pound fresh mushrooms
5 carrots, sliced
2 turnips, cubed

DIRECTIONS

1. In a large mixing bowl combine flour, oregano, salt and pepper. Place bear meat in the bowl a little at a time and coat well.
2. Heat oil and butter in a large skillet. Fry the bear meat until browned. Let drain on paper towels.
3. Fill a large Dutch oven with 2 to 3 quarts water. Add bear meat, onions, beef broth, bay leaves, potatoes, mushrooms carrots and turnips. Cook on medium-high heat for 2 to 3 hours. Add more water as needed.

Enjoy! :rotfl:

I'm sure it could be modified to work in the crockpot, too. :lmao:

I can't remember your full list of allergies; is it safe for your family?! Does your market carry bear meat?
