I was supposed to get all the xmas shopping & wrapping done this weekend. well I didn't get it done. I refuse to let it stress me out. what is left will get done when we get back. this week is going to go quickly but is going to be very stressful. I can't wait to be my 1st Bahama Mama on board.

HI Dr. Hug? how are you doing? what is your weather like out there? we have been so cold today. tomorrow is suppose to be our coldest morning yet this season. I know it is just starting but I really was hoping we wouldn't get too cold before we left.

DH is planning on dropping the kids & I off with the luggage at the airport so that we don't have to take winter coats with us. coming home could be another challenge. I think DH will probably go get the car while the kids & I collect the luggage. I hope we can pick up curbside also.

well it looks as though seattle is going to win the game. that is hard on denver. they really fought hard for this game.

well Andy have you finished your packing yet? DH had to try on some stuff today but DS had to try on the most. he has had a minor widening growth spurt but he also grew taller because his jeans fit around the waist but not down to the ground.

Speaking of getting work done,
DH is going to a football game in Jacksonville today. Some big deal with GA Tech and Wake Forrest (Tech Please). He is flying in/out same day.

DD is going to a spend the night starting this afternoon.

I have a "spa day"! FYI, for me a "Spa day" I don't have to hurry out of the shower, and I get to color my hair.

Well, sorry about the football game(s). We are such losers....sob sob! LOL. ROFTLOL.

"V" Go Gators! Congratulations!

We are finally here at WDW VWL! Uh yeah! I think. This is the best place
of all. EVERYBODY should come here all of the time. Yeah!

What a trial getting here. The weather was great! The flights were smooth all of the way. That part was wonderful! I'll let MrsMork tell you "teh rest of the story"!

Woo Hoo.....,.......MK tomorrow! Dang Trojans! Jeff had tickets lined up. Ugh!

Time for ANgie and for bed. Yawn! It has been a long day.

I am suppose to go to work tomorrow but I think I am going to blow it off. I still need to find DS another dress shirt. we had to go with a 15.5 short sleeve because I couldn't find a long sleeve that didn't look awful. I would like to get him a 14.5 or 15 but haven't been able to find them around us. I thought I would try up a little north--coincidentally there is a disney store near where I am planning on going. It can't hurt to stop in a see what they have, right?

enjoy your day tomorrow. are you guys doing MVMCP? I haven't followed everyone's plans. we are doing it after the cruise. It will be our first time & I am so excited.

Hey, I just noticed. I passed up 500 posts tonight. I know compared to you guys that is not a lot but it sure looks like a lot to me considering I don't do stuff like this. Everyone have a wonderful Monday. One week from tonight we will have just left Castaway Cay and falling asleep to the gentle rocking of the waves.

Hello Dear Friends . . .

I want you all to know that it has truly been a comfort to me to know that I have friends that care when I was in need of prayers and hope. I know that Amy has kept you up to date with what was happening with my mom. It has been a very difficult 24 hours for me and my family.

My mother was a very modest and unpretentious woman. She had a very hard life, growing up poor in Greece. She came to this country for a better life. She left her mother, father, and brother and sister behind, never to see them again.

When we were growing up, my father was an alcoholic, and it made it very difficult for mom to raise three children virtually on her own for many years. So if I do not indulge as much in drink (I enjoy a drink - just not to excess), you may know why. My father finally beat alcoholism when I finally became old enough to help him help himself. I was in my teens at that time.

She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world. She taught us the value of education, even though she never received beyond what would amount to a grade school education. She had an unwavering faith in God, and a love and respect for all people. During the racial strife of the 1960's she taught us that the value of a person was not the color of their skin, but the value of their character. There was not one hateful bone in her body, and she would not hurt a fly.

It was hard to see her leave in such pain, but I am glad that her pain and suffering is over. She is in a better place now. I got to say all the goodbyes I would ever want to her, and I held her hand as she passed on to that better place.

Her final words were "I love you, I love everyone".

As we say in our tradition, "May her memory be eternal".

Thank you for letting me share with a very special group of people.

I want you all to know that my family will still be joining you (albeit we will arrive a day later at the World), as we now more than ever need this time to reflect and heal. Some may say that is not the right thing to do, but mom would have wanted it that way, and that is all I care about.

I appreciate your prayers.

John

:grouphug: :grouphug: John, your mother sounds like a pure and beautiful soul and I know she is now in God's arms.

My prayers are with you and your family as you go through this time of grieving and healing. Big, Big hugs to you and your family. :grouphug:

Time for my irregularly scheduled Tar Heel update:
Carolina women's soccer won the national championship today, a 2-0 victory over #2 seed Notre Dame. Always amazing, the Heels have won 18 NCAA championships in the past 25 years.
Carolina women's basketball defeated Tennessee tonight. Both teams were highly ranked (#2 vs #4). Ivory Latta is fun to watch!
Back to the regular postings now!

We booked over two years ago, got our docs 2 weeks ago and a free upgrade from cat6 to cat4 last week.

We are late seating :-)

John,

It must have been a great comfort to her to see how well you have done. I bet her heart burst with pride with Alex's test scores and medical school prospects. She certainley got great joy watching Sophia smile and spread love. I bet she never worried about how you would do because you had Amy and 2 beautiful children, and I bet every day she thanked god for sending you to take care of her when she needed it most. What a wonderful legacy she left.

Take Care of yourself and your family and whatever you do for them will always be the right thing. :grouphug:
