Well, Brack, tomorrow I take the dogs in to be groomed. I really wanted to do it before it got real cold here but the weather is not cooperating. we have sweaters & I figure I will have to use them when I pick them up. I tried brushing out our female dog and couldn't really get through her fur. she kept crying. I can't see our male dog's eyes anymore. I have already trimmed his head twice within the last month. I thought I had an appointment for them about a month ago but when I showed up at the groomers they said we didn't have an appointment and this was the 1st available. we have to get it done before we leave.
What kind of dogs Missy?

:wave2: Missy!

I am sorry it is such a slow night when you finally have some time. Sunday nights are usually not as busy and I bet a lot of people are packing. I can only stay on a few more minutes because I need to get a shower, etc.. and get ready for bed. I have an early morning tomorrow and a busy day. :)
You just didn't have anyone to say hi to Becka! I see you ave been struggling! :rotfl2:

Becka, are you finally plowed out? I bet you are going stir crazy. Your state is much more prepared to handle that amount of snow than we are. we had a 8 inch snow and it basically shut us down. I am hoping we avoid the snow until after we get back. It is suppose to be cold this week but I don't think there is much chance of any precip

I keep hearing about the snow and power outages on the news. It is raining here and there is a slight chance it may change to some snow before morning.

The plows have been down our street once but it not that much better than it was before at least in our neighborhood. The main and secondary streets seems to be doing pretty good but they are still partly covered in some areas. The neighborhood is just pure ice. :sad2:
How cold is it there? Ice sucks!

MIL has finally found peace. Once everything was removed, they said it would be minutes, well those minutes turned into 60 minutes. John held her hand the whole time. He said she was fighting it the whole time. Her last words were "I love you. I love Everyone"

Well I have one *^#$ of a headache. We have not told Sophia. She knew Grandma was sick and in the hospital... and right now she has a friend over. This will be her first experience with someone she knows dying.

I am so sorry for your loss. How wonderful that you received her gift of love at the end - that is so important.

Kids do not have the same baggage that we do. Both of our fathers died within 2 months of each other - I was reluctant to have the kids see my father at the funeral home but the director convinced me to. They have to understand that it is part of the life cycle and not to fear it. They need their own closure with the person or otherwise they realize you are hiding something from them. It might be more appropriate for her to visit her grandmother during a quieter family time.

If needed, there are many local hospitals that have bereavement groups for children. It might be a good idea to let her school know how she is doing with the process.

Prepare for a lot of questions about death but it is best to deal with them head on. This went on for several months at our house.

Your whole DIS family is grieving with you.

I broke the news to DS that we would probably not have a window and he was not real happy. :sad2: He didn't understand why Mickey wouldn't give us one. :confused3

OMG! That was a total shut down!! :rotfl: :headache:

Now where was I?

Awwwwww...just let the CM at check-in see his pouty lip! :thumbsup2

Thanks. I guess I always assume the higher numbers are the veradahs. I should have realized that they have inside staterooms on the higher decks. Becka, you might enjoy that stateroom better because you don't go way down in the ship.

Missy

I liked being on deck 1. It was nice and quite and convenient to a lot!

I probably made a mistake downgrading. One of the things my kids enjoyed the most was the porthole in our room and obviously it is something that Nathan wants again.

Don't give yourself a hard time Becka. Although i love having the veranda, I had an inside when I took the girls last January. We still had a good time, although I know now that I really like those verandas! Heck, we're breaking the law in our room now. ;)

Every cruise we have Mickey send us a bottle of sparkling cider for our bon voyage gift. the kids were convinced that Mickey actually sent it to us. I still have to do that tomorrow.

tell DS that he is closer to the fun areas. and that it doesn't matter if you have a window because you can go out onto the deck and see it for real--no glass between you and the sea
That's cute! But alas, they do grow up huh... :guilty:

Couldn't you tell him something like Mickey didn't give us a window but he's letting you get _____ at the store on board. (or maybe a smoothie at dinner each night) ;)
Good idea! :thumbsup2

I think once we get there he might be too excited to get upset about it. If I have to I will make something up. I am not going to tell him anything in case we get that upgrade. Then I can tell him that Mickey knew he really, really wanted a window and figured out a way to get him one! :thumbsup2
Wouldn't THAT be awesome for him! keep that camera handy! :thumbsup2
