I was hoping the upgrade fairy would visit but no such luck!
It looks like there's still hope. Keep your chin up! Remember the secret is to check your ressie a million time a day and pies! :p

Does anyone else get jittery just thinking about how close we are? I get kind of shakey from all the excitement. It is like I am hooked up to an adrenaline IV or something!

Yeah, me too, I am here at the office trying to work - maybe it is the prednisone.

Just want to wish all of my cruise buddies from last year a fabulous trip!!!! I didn't know when you were all leaving so here is a send off now! :wizard:

Good Morning Everyone! :wave2:

I got some more packing done last night after chat and I am feeling a lot better about it all. I still have some stuff to pack (of course) but the vast majority of the clothes are packed. It looks like we are going to end up with the following:

1 very large suitcase
1 large duffel
1 medium duffel
2 small rolling suitcases
1 garmet bag
1 toiletry bag
1 carry-on

The medium duffel is full of nothing but diapers/wipes, etc.. One of the smaller rolling suitcases is full of DIS Geek stuff. When I realized that it made me feel a little better about how much we are bringing.

Nathan was invited to a birthday party for this afternoon and I RSVP'd for it but the invitation is sitting at work and I don't know if we should risk getting out. Our road has still not been plowed. I guess I will start checking on the conditions of the main roads before making a decision.

ok, another load done...I have started to clean out the car and now am making macaroni. After lunch the girls are going to help me wash the car!!

Allie is not a souvie but we were really hoping she would start walking on the cruise but it was not to be. I guess you have to be a souvie to get your milestones there! ;)

NO ONE WAS OVERLOOKED! I was making a list of the first names that came to mind. I see now that I should have listed everyone, with their cuurent post counts, in order of least to greatest, with the date and time of their last post, a running count of the 00 pirates as well as a staistical analysis of the ratio of 00 pirates to 000 pirates as well as a study of the 99 and 01 pirates as well....When I figure how to get everyone's individual crust factor built into that, I get to that too...

Sorry, I overlooked that as well. :confused3
Ok then. Good to know that you now understand the assignement. :rotfl:

Thanks Amy. I will do that. My ear keeps opening and blocking all day. I am taking that as a good sign...at least it isn't completly blocked.

When my ears get like that it usually means I am one very big painful sneeze away from clear ears. I look forward to and dread that sneeze at the same time becuase it HURTS but when your ears are clear after it is great. :)

we leave for Florida on thursday afternoon.

Us too! :yay:

Lisa - Do you think you could add a list on the first post of when people are planning on leaving? Kind of like the list you created for when people got their docs. I can't remember who leaves when and it confuses me.

wow - I am tired this morning.

Bye Joy and have a safe trip!

Bye Angie and Dennis you have a safe trip as well!

Today is GORGEOUS, not trying to rub it in but lately everyday has been warm and very cloudy/overcast and wintery looking. Today just screams "come outside"!!

I have lots to get accomplished today: more laundry, try and finish up everyone else's packing. I still have a few things on order so I can't close the bags juts yet. And try and straighten....all before 6pm......SEC game and it's also our 6th anniversary today!!! Whoo hooo!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

so do the boys dress up on the ship for photo ops?

are there any power rangers on board?

No Power Rangers on board and that is probably a good thing otherwise DS would stalk them the entire time!

And speaking of Power Rangers I heard about this on the radio yesterday and while it could have turned out really bad I am kind of :rotfl: about it since I know everything worked out OK.

His sister in danger, 4-year-old plays hero

DURHAM - The robber was holding a gun to 5-year-old Mary Long's head when a 3-foot-tall Mighty Morphin Power Ranger leapt into the room.
"Get away from my family," 4-year-old Stevie Long shouted, punctuating his screams with swipes of his plastic sword and hearty "yah, yahs."

The robber and his accomplice, who was waiting outside the apartment Friday night, fled with credit cards, jewelry, cash and other items that Stevie's mother, Jennifer Long, dumped from her purse.

"I scared the bad guys away," Stevie said Tuesday evening at the apartment at 901 Chalk Level Road in north Durham.

Two men had approached Jennifer Long's boyfriend and his son Friday night as they stood outside the apartments she helps manage, according to a police report. The strangers asked for pot, and then a cigarette, and as the son went to get one, both men pulled guns, police said.

One stayed with the boyfriend as the other forced the son back into the apartment, police said. Inside were Jennifer Long, a cousin, Stevie, Mary and two other children, police said.

They were forced on the floor. The robber pointed the gun at Mary and a 1-year-old girl named Sierra, said Stevie's uncle, Bernie Evans, 33, who lives above the Longs.

Enter Stevie.

"During the robbery, a ... boy snuck into his bedroom, dressed himself in a Power Ranger costume and armed himself with a plastic sword," police said. "The child then exited his room and approached the armed suspect, in an attempt to protect his family."

Relatives said the robber abandoned plans to take Stevie's mother to an ATM to withdraw cash when he saw Stevie.

"It tripped him out, and that's when they moved on," said Evans, who did not witness the incident. Jennifer Long declined to comment, saying her employers at the apartment complex would not allow it.

Stevie likes to think he cuts an intimidating figure in his red-and-black mask and foam suit that replicates the rippling muscles of the kiddie adventure show heroes. But Evans said the robber was more startled that Stevie was able to retreat to his bedroom and morph.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Thank you!!

I was feeling kind of down this morning...I have been trying on clothes to take...and none fit. I was to the point of crying when Samantha came in and asked what was wrong and before I could say anything she hugged me and told me she loved me. I decided to quit be sad and remember that I have gret kids, an awesome husband and good friends all in my life. Weight is something I can attack and change myself. All the others are pure blessings.

and it also helps to know that I am registered for the triathalon in April and in the training process I plan to get back to skinny jean weight! ;) But of course, this doesn't start until after the cruise.
