I'll catch up later then.

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving? We had lunch at a Colonial Inn in Petersburg, VA. It was first opened in 1760. I really liked it. Now we are in NC eating good country style food. There goes my WW!
We only had 24 here this year. Small crowd for us. Some of them have gone wine tasting this afternoon but will be back here to play some games and eat leftovers tonight.

Minor mishap....I set my oven on fire! It was shooting flames like a woodstove! I could do nothing but yell for Dennis. What would I do if he were not here?? :confused3 Anyway, he got the turkey pan out, closed the door and waited for the flames to subside (lack of Oxygen he said) then we put baking soda on the turkey drippings that was the culprit so I could go ahead and finish off dinner. Luckily the turkey was in fact done when I started the fire so I had only to brown the marshmallows on the yams.

Don't the Cat 3s have a dvd player? Kim could get the Imagination International Pirates of the Caribbean DVD Game and CJS could play... :teeth:

Here is the one I am working on for DD. I can't come up with the right thing to put on it though. We both had fun picking out the edgings.

Every kid needs to visit a farm at chicken time. :teeth:

My uncle had chickens and I remember going there one time and the whole family helped in their demise. Dad and uncle did the chopping, I think my mom and a brother dropped them in the hot water, and the rest of us did the plucking. I must have been 4 or 5.

I also remember the headless chickens knocking over the trashcan they were put in and running around... :rotfl:
I had to pluck chickens once when I was 10. I could not eat chicken for several years. Everytime it was cooked I could smell those awful wet feathers again. EEEEWWWW!!

You will find that for the most part, us East Coasters are the night owls . . . The Western folks seem to need their rest more.

We are old, John1. We are entitled! :)

Hey, maybe she knows Christie . . .

Do all people from Denver Colorado aimlessly walk off piers into the harbor, or was that an anomaly?

Just checking . . .

John1
I think Cristi is actually from Littleton, CO. Might make a difference in pier diving.

I give up! I will never catch up. I am just going to read the last few pages and jump back in. I got to page 3800 and decided I better just skip a few. :sad2: The crowd will be back from wine tasting soon.

Ok, I need to get off of this computer. I ended up buying the Rebel XTi for myself for an early Christmas present. I think I will feel very guilty until I actually get it. :rolleyes1
