Every year at Thanksgiving my MIL would make cranberry chutney/relish/sauce and serve it in special individual dishes at dinner. Nobody touched it. Every year she wrapped it in saran wrap and put it back out at Christmas. Guess what. Nobody touched it then either.

I think she just liked using the individual side dishes.

Come to think of it, for all I know she saved it and used it again the next year.
:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Well, THAT would scare anyone away from cranberries!

:lmao: Maybe it is really plastic and just for looks! :rotfl:

So, I did a little poking around on DCL site and this is what I found available:

CAT 4 - 8 rooms

Good to know about the XMAS cards. I'm thinking of arriving with preaddressed labels, and slapping them on and mailing them from Orlando rather than here in Canada.

I'll have to check out the main board to see what they are saying about prices.......

I already have ALL my Christmas shopping done this year, even down to the stocking stuffers. I've never been so organized...... And I wouldn't be if it weren't for this cruise.

Did I mention I just got $797 back?

ok this is a neurotic question -

but can any experienced cruiser give me what your typical day at sea is.
It would be helpful if PJ, Angie and some families chimed in so I could see the different perspectives - single, w/kids, empty nesters etc.

How do you start your day? what do you like to do during the day - review navigators, wing it? etc.

In what subtle ways is it different from a port day. Like I know I will not be doing .........

just curious. no experience here.

thanks so much.

elaine

We generally have a lazy breakfast. We might play a game of bingo. We roam the ship. We do things that are on the navigator. We really didn't spend any time in the pools but we probably will this trip. We do everything and nothing all at the same time. We might have lunch in the dining room instead of the buffet. We will do tea with Wendy. We have some morning time scheduled at flounders so my DH and I can do something adult.

I think Caroline said that if there are 8 or more room available that is the max that will show. In order to really tell you have to enter all the room numbers individually, see which ones are open and then add them up. It may be too much math for you Angie... ;)

so Becka, if we have 15 regular posters (approx.) and 30 days left to get to 60,000 - how many would we need to post per day so that we hit it.

we can have John1 develop a contract to all commit to 20 posts per day. Just quickly ballparking it with no other factors thrown in there - we should just about make it by cruise day.
You are good Elaine!! You are really good!!!!

Pricing? :lmao:

I am so tempted to call and drop down to a Cat. 12, it would save me $750.00. I am really conflicted. Can you drop down after final payment and not forfeit your deposit or is it considered a new ressie?

Pj

ok Dh thought maybe we should reprice and just see what's the difference....

To switch to a cat 12 it would only save us $500 or so.... We got a great deal booking early...

I don't think i want to take the risk of getting anything on deck 1 or 2. No offense to anyone....

I just don't think it's worth the risk of loosing my SPH to go to an unknown room on unknown floor. Or as my DH says " It could be one of those vibrating rooms on the first floor with no window." Yikes. :sad2:

I missed one day (today) and I am so far behind it is insane! I am liking Grey's Anatomy tonight. I am so excited that they will be showing this past Sunday's episode of DHW next!!! I will get to see it! WOO HOO!!!!

Brandi, DO THE RAINFOREST. Trust me on this....The Rainforest!! :goodvibes $15 each for the day and SO worth it. Get some water with a bit of orange in it. Sit on those loungers, move through the heat/steam rooms, shower in the incredible showers (but DON'T get the mint one in your eyes - ouch!), then get a nice cup of tea and sip on that. AAAAAHHHH. You will be just so relaxed! Plan on about an hour. :thumbsup2

I just finished putting all of my addresses onto the computer. That is one thing done off of my list. We are going to get a pic turned into our Christmas Cards on the ship. I want to post them from FL. when we get back to Disney World.

Did anyone else notice? I think the DIS clock is fixed! :yay:

Thanks guys. That's what I warned them. The one family has a 4 1/2 YO and the other one actually turns 5 on the ship, so they wanted to do one of the excursions....now they are making me feel bad that Disney won't let them do it.

Okay - it is less than 30 days till we leave and NOW you are doing research? And this is my fault, how?!!!
Karen - they will get over it! Especially when they realize how much fun the ship will be!!!!
