We have no idea where the other room will be. We could have gone with an 11 so they would be very close, but it was only half the savings. I don't think the kids are quite ready for that yet either.

I really woudn't put them alone away from you anyway! I was just being silly. But it would be nice to have connecting...then you could just shut your door!

We had our last soccer game today. It rained almost all day but cleared up just in time for our game at 3:00. We won, and ended the season 8-1-1... not bad for a team of mostly first timers who almost weren't... the coach quit before the season began and a couple of the dads stepped in to coach. They were awesome about the whole thing and now most everyone wants to go back and play together again next year.

We had our team party tonight and it was really cool. One of the other moms made up a dvd of video clips she shot during the season. I'm so sorry that our kids' paths don't normally cross because this is such a great group of boys and parents. Can't wait till next year!

We have always taken chocolate from the kid's TOT & what I buy after Halloween on the ship in Nov & Dec. It has never melted. We bring what is left home without a problem. We have brought lots of candy to the clubs too without a mess for the CMs. M&Ms, samores, those M&M candy bars that were out last year too.

I thought the same thing. The chocolate is still on! We will have chocolate in our candy bags.

.... I dislike The Wizard of OZ!

I also dislike it but for a different reason. When I lived at the beach we had a TV and VCR. WE did not have cable. The video store was 87 blocks away. That is FAR in OCM traffic. The only video we had was the wizard. They watched it all of the time!!! How annoying!!! Now I can't even stand it!

I think almost all of us would not choose the drive!
But I do love seeing all of the family, so I need to get over my dread of the drive... no need to make it worse with a bad attitude!

Our family drives far to come to our house too. Uncle and aunt from Idaho will have about a 9 or 10 hour drive - depending on stops and they are in early 80s. Nephew and his family come from Whidby Island in Washington State and with the ferry time off the island they too will have about an 8 hour trip. They bring their travel trailer and park here on our property. Others have between 2 and 4 hour drives. Only DrHug's brother and his family live within 30 min of us (and our DDs of course). Most of them stay in hotel downtown and arrive either Tues (my uncle so they will have a day to rest up) or Wed. They start leaving on Friday and some of them stay over until Sunday.

I took M&M's last year and they didn't melt, in fact I had not issues with them. When we went on the Halloween Cruise, I took chocolate for trick or treat with the DIS people and it didn't melt either. I think it will be fine.

The only thing I would suggest is taking it in the hotel with you and not leaving it in the car before the cruise.

I will do that. I told DH that I will look at it as my souviner room. When I hand those out I will have more room..KWIM? We will be delivering them one lazy afternoon so when people come back to their room the kids will have candy and the adults pencils.

Today is a blah day here in more ways than one. Besides the rain, DD had a bad night with her allergies and was up coughing most of the night. I took DS to CCD but came home with him afterwards because I'm not quite right today. Also, MIL left a message on the machine this morning that she is having stereotactic surgery tomorrow at 5 am. We haven't called her to talk about it yet. I don't have a good feeling.

I understand that. I am just glad that we all live close. All of my family is "right here" from both sides. It is kind of strange but all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, everyone live in Schuylkill County PA. It is nice.

Have to get ready for Amanda's birthday party at the movies. I just picked up some of the small cupcakes so we'll sing HB and she can open gifts before the movie starts. Gotta leave about 2:30, so gotta give Dina a bath first and get ready.

hey gang, just wanted to say hello. I'm over 300 pages behind, not sure how on earth I will ever catch up! I'm digging out from the piles of toys, balloons and clothes that are piled in the family room after the boys 2 birthday parties yesterday. They had 1 combined friends party at the Minnesota Children's Musuem yesterday morning. The a combined family party at Don Pablos last night for dinner. Now I just have to finish my Christmas shopping and get through Thanksgiving, then I can start packing for the cruise. Oy, this is feeling a little crazy.

oh and I forgot to mention what else I've been doing, unpacking boxes from Charlotte and her son Carson, they've been sending clothes and shoes to my sons. Carson even sent a fabulous Mickey sweatshirt. It's so cool, it must have been really hard to part with!! They are so generous! Thank you Charlotte!

I don't like scary movies, but I do LOVE the old Hickcock type stuff that was more about suspense than gore. Rear Window is one of my all time favorites. And Jimmy Stewart oh my. I thought he was HOT when I was younger! I really like all of Hickcock's stuff.

Now those other movies . . . never seen them, have no desire, and did not go to them as a teen. (Exorcist, Shining, Carrie, et. al) I do NOT like blood, guts and gore for my entertainment.

I used to love horror flicks when I was in college...but now have no desire to see them at all! I much prefer laughing or even crying at a film. I do not really want to be scared by a film. But still love a good suspense film....they scare (more tense than scare) you without blood, gore or surprises.

I also remember watching the Sound of Music every year. I don't remember seeing the Cinderella movie every year like that.
