Jill - I looked earlier on the DCL site and there were 8 6's left (as were the 4's and 5's).....I am thinking they will be doing some upgrades as they offered the FL resident discount and they are showing availablity to book 4-12 which 12 was not on there before!

Ok, I got a call around 4 or whenever I was ready to leave and Samantha got sick at school. She has done it three times within two weeks. I am wondering if she has developed an aversion to milk or milk products? IDK....she's fine. I picked them up and we stopped and got provisions for the weekend.....and now they - John, Samanatha and Haley are all snuggled on the couch watching Dragon Tales. We did have to get Jack Sparrow waffles for tomorrow...and we did look for pirate treasure in the box.

I am cooking shrimp alfredo...nice yummy (store bought) french bread and nursing a mango mojito rum martini thing I just made. The hot tub is heating up....at 88...hopefully the girls will go to bed quickly!

Angie - where did you get the sticker book?
Walmart. They had a couple of different Disney ones and some non Disney also.

That sounds so nice. I am jealous!

I made shake n' bake pork chops, mashed potatoes, mandarin oranges and salad. We had goodie day at work so I only had 6 points left to meet my target so I had a small pork chop and a big salad. It was pretty good but shrimp alfredo with french bread sounds so much better!
I'm cooking up some bratwurst, sticking it in a roll, putting on some mustard and calling it dinner. :thumbsup2

i am so mad right now...(i could spit) :furious:

DD's former GS leader sent us an e-mail yesterday.....

(some background first)
DD sold over 100 boxes of cookies last year for the troop.
Around $50 in profit from DD's sales alone.
The troop leader never planned any activity to use the money from the sale.
Then the leader with no notice disbanded the troop in June...
Finally the leader sends an email out of the blue saying the money will be used to take the girls to lunch and a movie and SHE PICKED THE DAY....

Nice planning...

Well she picks this coming Tuesday during the afternoon....(kids have off)
But DD has riding lessons and works on Tuesdays... Even if she missed her lesson, it's too soon to get a worker to fill in for her...

So now my DD gets NONE of the profit from all the cookies she sold....

(but even if she did go...Whoopie...She makes the troop $50 in profit... and then gets a what $10 meal and $7.00 movie ticket.... BIG WHOOP.....)

I so want to tell that woman off... How dare she keep all that money!!!!!
Or I guess the other girls are getting a free ride off of devon's profits...

:furious: MUST :furious: CONTROL :furious: URGE :furious: TO :furious: FLATTEN :furious: TIRES :furious:

Girl Scout Council....I'd call them and ask for an accounting of the money the troup earned.

Taking the time to write a letter does get action. :thumbsup2

I got a call from a CM after sending an email about our horrible POP experience last June. She was very nice to talk to and was really interested in my opinions and suggestions. Of course we ended up talking about the cruise too. She hadn't been on one yet. I told her about our first Cindy experience.

Gotta go workout....hopefully I will be back for chat. If not then call 911 because I must have collapsed! :rotfl:

Hannah's Brownie troop has not done any "big" events with their cookie money last year and the year before (Hannah also sold more than 100 boxes each year). So when things started in October we find out that they're doing the scout sleepover at the zoo. Sounds nice, OK. But every Mom must attend with the girl. And I cannot go, so Hannah cannot go.
GS certainly has changed since we were leaders. What about girls that don't HAVE a mom in their life??? We had a couple that had a stepmom that did nothing for them, scout wise or other. We would NEVER have told them they could not participate because mom was not available.

I am so bummed to miss them! I am also so pleased to hear they are all back. My girlfriend was talking about Anna and Robert's interaction - :lmao: All I can say is FINALLY. Finally they recognize that there is interest in having something other than a teenage story line. DOOL was going that teenage route also and it just bugged me. It was like adults and teen story lines could not coexist.

Used to watch GA when it was on Sundays, but since the move I can't give-up on CSI. I guess I'll catch GA on the reruns when nothing else is on.

on another note...did DD pictures come through ok?

I haven't checked the emails for pictures yet. You can always watch GA online the next day. :thumbsup2

I got 18 (yes eighteen!) 5 day hopper passes to DL 3 years ago in response to a letter about a less than magical time at a character breakfast. :) We all 18 went again the following summer and had a great character breakfast.

I had thought it had been scheduled for the 9th. The 7th is fine with me! :teeth:

No, it was the 7th. We had talked about concern of it affecting us if it was delayed. It should be launched after we sail away though so maybe traffic that early in the am wouldn't be affected as much. :confused3

Happy 7th Birthday, Aaron! Can't wait to meet you (and embarrass you by saying my Walt will look like you someday!)

Lisa's grade post reminded me of something. I went to 4 different high schools and 3 of them had the usual 10 points scale (90-100 = A, 80-89 = B, etc..). When I moved to El Paso, Texas they did the 93-100 = A, 85-92 = B, but they just used the percentages for your grade instead of the letter grade.

When I transfered in to El Paso as a junior they took all of my letter grades to calculate my GPA and gave me the lowest possible score so of course that affected my class ranking. All of my A's were 93's, all B's were 85's, etc.. (Of course this is also the school that refused to let me in any honors classes except for honors English on a trial basis because they could not be sure that the schools I came from had adequate honors classes that would prepare me  They also put me in basic band and refused to even let me audition for the higher bands. That school was being the biggest PITA about military students transferring in - they really hated us. )

Thankfully we moved at the end of my junior year and I moved to Missouri for my senior year. They looked at those percentage grades and used the MO scale so my 91/92 "B"s were translated as "A"s. :thumbsup2 Of course I still got dinged for class ranking because my honor classes did not translate in my transferring grade point average.

Oh I HATED how grades transfered. :( I had to do that in HS & college. At my first HS the advanced classes were weighted a full point so an A was a 5 instead of a 4. At the public HS I transferred to they only added .217 to each grade...so my GPA dropped. :(

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Aaron --> "Grandma, who is that crazy woman??" :confused3 :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Didn't you know Becka that most men CAN't listen to a woman? They are physically and mentally unable to comprehend when someone else is right. ;)
LOL!! I reminded DH about something and he said Who told you that....I said he did and he replied "Well you must have misunderstood me" He was driving I couldn't push him out the car. He then turned toward me with this big grin.

But you're introducing him to other crazy internet friends at WDW before the cruise... by the time he meets me, he'll be rolling his eyes and saying "Not another crazy woman, Grandma!!!"
